Another day of shopping that we interrupted for the sake of a nearby solved cache ot two. This we did not believe we would have much luck with judging by the previous log but fortunately the find was made much easier than anticipated. TNLNSL TFTC
Headed south today to knock a few unfound caches off my map. Found some old ones, found some new; found some trads, found some mysteries; found some urban caches, found some in conservation parks. Only one was sought and not found. I had an intention to find Freddo's Transient Atmospheric Phenomenon but there was food fait at GZ...so I didn't even start the search - but I did find a gourmet hotdog, smokey meat rub and a selection of pastries. Along the way I earned a September Equinox souvenir for finding three geocaches between September 22 and 28. The September equinox marks a moment of balance in Earths orbit with nearly equal amounts of daylight worldwide. It symbolizes transition, marking the start of autumn in the northern hemisphere and the start of spring in the southern hemisphere. It is celebrated as a time of interconnectedness, reminding us of our shared experience, regardless of hemisphere.TFTC to all COs
Unfortunately I couldnt find the cache today. Lots of rubbish and vines. Thanks to rumpuslabs for placing this cache for the community to enjoy.
Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi. Solved this soon after publishing but it sast in the TBF queue waiting till I could get to this side of town.Heading to this side of town to get our van serviced and on the way back home a few short detours made to find some caches. Did try to find this one a while ago, but didn't have time to perform a thorough search and had to leave. Today, parked nearby and wandered over to GZ again, and this time, located the cache in the first place I looked. Not sure how I missed it last time. Signed the log and then replaced as found.Gratias pro cache rumpuslabs
TFTC. Unbelievable! Ive been to this spot 3 times now. Even fired up the Garmin to check coordinates and it was there all along. Doh!
Found at 16:17 with Olga and Luna. We'd just been to Luna's vet for a vaccination down the road a bit.Easy find, don't remember when I solved the puzzle. My notes just say "solved". Some time in the last 9 months I suppose.I had to go to Streetview to see why there would be classics. Funnily enough, although I lived on the street on the opposite side of Goodwood road from the cache, I never visited that shop, but the butcher is one of the best around.
Out for an easy day of caching with JJ52. I've walked through this little park a number of times and had been considering placing a cache here but the rubbish put me off. Several times I've been put off looking for this cache due to the rubbish in the area. Fortunately the park was a lot cleaner today. Thanks for the puzzle and cache rumpuslabs and bektheraccoon.
After attending an early morning breakfast event I teamed up with sushilord to come and find some new caches that we both hadn't found.Solved this one soon after publishing but hadn't made it to GZ to find the cache. Today was the day and thankfully it didn't take too long to find the cache. Thanks for the cache rumpuslabs.
I love this Sudokacha series, and solved all 5 of them in this series up to now.#01 is the easiest one. I solved it over 7 months ago.Today, I tried this one as I was in the area.At final location, cache has been found easily.Signed the log book, and put the cache back. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache, rumpuslabs and bektheraccoon.
Something special or unusual goes here:Solved quite a while ago it was high time we dropped by for a quick find. The Generic Bit:Another Tuesday Trekking for some members of a puzzle solving group. [^] This time I met up with Ttrogg and Mrs. S.A. Sewer Rats where X marks the spot for Freddo. From there we made a clockwise circumnavigation of the Metro area picking up some newer solved puzzles and anything we came across along the way. - as you do. Once again we stopped for a picnic lunch and had a few laughs - usually at my expense as I fell over twice twisting my ankle. At least there was only a small trickle of blood and no more torn clothing! ***Thanks rumpuslabs for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Logs prepared and published through GSAK.
Three confused geocahers planned a Tuesday Mystery trek. The plan was for ttrogg to pick up Mrs Rat, from her nest. Then it was off to meet up with the Starfish in Burnside. We parked the geomobile and headed over to GZ.Then the began, searching here and there. Then the Starfish found the cache. WE stamped the logbook and replace as found. Tftc
Another tuesday out with a couple of other Confused Puzzlers. This time it was Tuesday Mystery Tour as the Starfish had prepared a map to guide us in our wanders. It was almost stuck to, but of course there had to be some additions and some omissions. But, as usual, time was the enemy and the last one was one of the omissions so all would be home as desired. Another great day out with mainly newish puzzles and a couple of newish traditionals and this was one of them.Have had this one on the To Do list for a while, so it was nice to see that it was on today's map. Another find to the Starfish. Thanks to rumpuslabs for adding to the playing field with this cache.Cache #14873 for me.*This log composed and published using GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife).*
It was a very pleasant afternoon so I decided to head down to the event at Flagstaff Hill and find a few caches of interest on the way, including this one. Thanks rumpuslabs for the puzzle and the cache.
Found It!No problems solving this one since I've done a lot of sudoku-caches before. Then a quick find tonight once at the final location.TFTC
I solved this one shortly after it was published, a few months ago I stopped by GZ but was unable to find the cache, today a quick find was had and cache is all good.Today after dropping a family member off at the airport I had a bit f spare time so headed around the southern suburbs followed by an FTF whilst dodging the heat. Thanks for the cache
Whats a great way to clear some of the stresses of a working day..caching of course A quick find here this afternoon, log stamped and returned as foundTFTC
I solved this cache not long after it was published; however, with the First to Find already claimed, it sat in my GPS just waiting for the day I was out and after a couple of finds. Stopping by Ground Zero today I was hoping this would not take me to long to find. However, given the size and location, I knew this could take me a while. I initially overthought this cache a little bit; however, after trying something that seemed a little to obvious to be true, I soon had the cache in hand. Why did I not think of that earlier? Despite the seemingly obvious, this was still a reasonably well camouflaged cache. The log was signed, the cache replaced, and I was on my way home.Find #8374, at 03:57 pmTFTC
Another fine Tuesday caching the 'burbs with Froghoppin, today Sebastbat came along and Jack tagged along too! This was one of our several finds. Thank you rumpuslabs for the cache hide and ongoing care and maintenance ---------------- ----------------------In a dangerous world filled with rusty old mint tins and solid lumps falling from trees - - - a cache a day keeps us agile... sort of --------Caches are logged using the resources of gsak, garmin, and androids, occasionally AI too! (And a little rubber stamp ) Work gets in the way - and some may take longer to log than others due to mixed technology and need for sleep! The skill and talent of some Zenior Zombies helps, and maybe a spot of luck too [:o)]----------Cache carefully and make sure Travel Bugs are the Only bugs you share and pass on Clean as you go and cache the countryside Big thanks to those placing quality caches out and about around our country areas, in nice safe places and containers especially! - it keeps our game fun for all Of course we do appreciate if you actually did read all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, or so we've been told! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where it is I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and perhaps we can put an end to these long logs !!! Maybe not though - as someone actually did read to the end and alerted me to just a project GC badge that requires long logs [:o)] Well at least it's not as bad as finding a mint tin! Did you get that... stop putting out rusty mint tins, just stop it, now!!! C'est fini... For now... ... until tomorrow! PS:---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------GCA1DNA - Great Leap Forward ... or is it backward... it takes an extra day to get to March 29.2.24 The Mega Leap Event of the year. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------And don't forget to put the June Long Weekend in your diary for 2024 too... fun and funky finds
Another Tuesday adventure with Mattycat and Sebastbat, back down to the city for todays playground, love sudoko puzzles and this was a quick solve during the week and a quick find for us todayTFTC rumpuslabs
Nice hide! As I was signing the log, I was approached by 2 other geocachers, Froghoppin and Mattycat who were also looking for the cache. It was great to meet you guys! I handed the log for them to sign and then returned the cache to its hiding place.TFTC!
Yesterday turned into a solo puzzle solving day to avoid the heat. Today I had to get out early to avoid the rain. I concentrated on mostly my puzzle solves left over from 2023. I had a stock of solved puzzles to ensure I could complete my 366 day challenge, and now I am collecting on the hard work and solve left overs. This was the first find for the day. Thanks for the puzzle and cache Rumpuslabs. The cage concept was new to me, and I had great fun in solving this one. Cache present and in good condition. It took a while to spot, I was looking in much harder places, in the end it was where one should expect it to be, but as it was match painted, it took a bit to see, especially in the morning light.Find #9230 at 7.15am
Found on my way to the South West Breakfast 11101 event. Very quiet here at this time of the morning. And, just as well, as it took a little while to spot as the camo on the cache container blends perfectly with the background! Thanks for the puzzle and cache rumpuslabs and bektheraccoon!
Found the cache after using some StarGate skills. Did not find any second hand Pal. Thanks rumpuslabs and clear skies from TeamAstro. Took a while to find this cache and suddenly it returned from the other dimension where it had been hiding.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Owl had gotten rid of the male birds, then enjoyed a long breakfast with her women's group and had time before afternoon tea with friends. What to do? This puzzle was on the way and prepared earlier, so an obvious choice. Unfortunately, Owl also picked up dog poop, so future finders might like to take greater care!
Tftf share bronze with Sam white 2012 pretty easy find thanks I hope this series continues.
Im logging as a beta tester now that the podium is full. The CO sent me a precursor to this cache back in April. After two failed attempts, I put on my geocaching hat (what would a geocacher do?) and realised what I was looking at This puzzle was much easier to solve and I got it in one go Im excited to see what comes next, having seen the effort that went into this cache, and hearing about plans for the rest of the series.Congrats rumpuslabs on a great first cache! TFTC!
The puzzle was quickly solved last night and I called by on my way home from an appointment.A quick find.TFTC
Was nearby when published, so solved on side of the road, and got the green tick 1st try.Not far to GZ, and soon had the cache in hand.A nice lil corner park.Dropped my *FTF* geocoin through too @ 1600hrsTNLNSL Thanks
Too close to home to ignore on this Friday evening.I don't mind a sudoku puzzle. I look forward to the upcoming series.2nd TF at 1950 hrs.Nicely hidden.TFTC
