Logs
9 November 2024 7:05pmReally? There? Are you trying to kill us?Well we may not be the brightest stars in the night sky, but this was our time to shine.Pulled from the solved pile, catnap777 and I made time for this one last cache before heading for home, and is was the most challenging one of the day to access. We took torches with us for just in case. As it turned out, they weren't needed to get us back to the car, but came in handy to peer into places where the cache wasn't. We peered into lots of places.Eventually, after returning to the same spot time and again, the sneaky little hide was discovered exactly where our coords pointed us.TFTC Jamin and dont pay any heed to my little rant at the start of this log. I was just a little peeved with myself for dropping my phone out of my top pocket as I reached for the cache and almost needing cat to ring me to find where my phone eventually came to rest. We all survived.
9 November 2024 19:05 The last cache for the day brought us to a spot that dalerious and I were very familiar with.If we would have known how good this spot was prior to coming here, we would have chosen to get here on dusk, find the cache still in daylight, and then waited for the sun to bid us good day and stay for the stars to come out and shine.A puzzle that we had no trouble seeing the light, as long as you knew where to look.Finding the cache though was a challenge. It was just in a sneaky spot close to where you would expect the cache should be.Thank you again Mr Appleford, a Au star for you.
Another awesome view hidden away. Got a bit wet pushing through to GZ after the rain but was rewarded with the sun on my face when I got there. SL at 8:40 after a shortish search. Knowing the coords are usually pretty accurate I didnt waste time widening the search but really concentrated where the GPS took me. No worries! TFTC.PUZZLE: Happy to have solved this one with no help. Couldnt get the right numbers on the first sitting but with fresh eyes another day after doing the heaving lifting earlier the numbers were right there! Interesting puzzle and something I learnt. Particularly apt at the moment with the night sky at this time of year.
Geosense failed me today It is a long time since I logged a DNF. Solved the puzzle quickly as it reminded me of some random trivia and so felt radiant about that. I spent too long on the what I thought was a good search but never mind I says - the view was a rather tip top surprise. THE CO always seems to find the gems. I will be back sometime.
I didn't take me too long to find the relevant information here but it took a while longer to turn that into recognizable numbers. Then at GZ I think I was lucky to find this relatively easily. Laid my hand on the cache before I actually saw it. Thanks Jamin

{FTF} WooHoo !!!We were heading to Wang today to pickup some solved puzzles missed while we were on our BIG Lap of OZ last year...And suddenly this FTF opportunity presented itself...what an absolute BONUS !!!Soooo, the poolpool's methodically worked thru numerous online resources before the 'astronomical radiance' glowed brightly !!!After a short hike, arriving at GZ, we were greeted with another magnificent placement by the CO with awesome views from the Warbys !!!Loving the variety of clever puzzles by Jamin, soooo well done, FP awarded !!!
