17:59I had to go to help a friend in Gisborne with his Internet connection... he'd been using the same dongle for the better part of a decade, and now it doesn't work because of the 3G shutdown. With his computer hooked back to the outside world through his phone, I was free to go and play...I've been sitting on a couple of solved Reservoir puzzles since the first lockdowns, so today seemed perfect for a drive out to see if I could convert the work to smileys. With that completed, it was time to turn towards home... via a couple more hides around Kyneton, of course. This was the last marker on the town map, so of course I had to visit. Thanks, mazza-g. Congratulations on your eighth grandchild. Now to fill up my water bottle at the nearby exercise station to get rid of the taste of Kyneton mineral water. Ugh.#9366
We had another shot at this cache with another set of adult eyes and found it. We love this spot in Kyneton!
Visiting Kyneton for the farmers market and making a short detour to the botanical gardens for a walk along the creek. This is as far as I got to before going back.
18:02Arriving in Kyneton for a few days stay. After the rain passed at lunch time, the afternoon turned out relatively fine - just right for doing a bit of geocaching.Back again for a second, and this time, successful look. Must have been the cold wind that put us off back in October - at least that's our excuse.**FEEDBACK TO CO:** Perhaps the DR of 1.5 is a tad low?Our thanks to 'mazza-g' for adding this cache to the.geo-gameboard.38105*This log composed and published using Geocaching Swiss Army Knife (GSAK).*
DNF- hunted around for about 20 minutes but no luck. Could just be us (hunting with small kids) or could have been disturbed by the people who left the wine bottles
On my way to a 3 day 4wdriving navigation event in Guildford so I decided to grab some along the way!
Being here in kyetin again after some years, I had a nice stroll with my friends and found this cache Tftc
Finally found it! Thank you to the owner for putting it back in its original spot for us
Checked on cache and noticed it had been moved about a metre. Probably a better placement as it may not get damp following rain. Now moved back it to its original hiding spot. Happy caching
09:07We looked high, we looked low, we looked in, we looked out, but today there was no way we could work this one out!Checking with a recent finder later in the day, perhaps our search focus was too narrow. Back again for another look sometime soon.Anyway, thanks mazza-g for bringing us to this interesting location. *This log composed and published using Geocaching Swiss Army Knife (GSAK).*
Congratulations! Nice quick find, and there is still plenty of space to write on the back of the log.
Checked cache and found there is plenty of space for additional logs. If one side is full turn the page over! Granddaughter visited also and loved the sound the cache made when she shook it.
TFTC unfortunately 1 of the whelpings took my notebook otherwise I would of added a page to extend logbook.
Lovely location that we would otherwise not have seen. Left the pen in the car and too many muggles to repeat the process. Thank you.
Found with my favs Bogonghazy and Geo dog. Crossing off a few of my blank dates. Thanks Mazza-g for placing the geocache
Found with LittleBoss2 and Geo the puppy trying to cross off a few of LB2's blank dates. This was an easy find, great coords help immensely. Thanks mazza-g
Over the weekend, we went on a Cache Crawl from Sunbury to Echuca, and then to Seymour. The cache was in great condition when we found it.Thank you for placing the cache mazza-g.
Found during the Great Victoria Cache Crawl event (day 2). mazza-g, thank you so much for placing it for everyone to enjoy and highlighting this area.
Today we decided to go for a drive to Kyneton. A beautiful sunny day to explore the area. This is a really lovely spot. Interesting history too. Thanks mazza-g for creating for us all to enjoy. Cache in good condition. --------------------------------------------------------The nominees for the [**2023 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards** ](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/2023-victorian-cache-of-the-year-awards/) have been announced. Find # 15974Off for a day trip, some shopping in Bendigo, then a wander down the Calder Hwy to grab a few caches and AdLabs.Ended up in Gisborne to kill a bit of time as my original plan was to be on Mount Macedon at dusk. Such an awesome little place... With the sun out there were a couple of muggles on the seat. Thankfully I was out of sight when grabbing this one. TFTC mazza-g
We're staying in the Kyneton area for a week's holiday with our only grandchild, a girl, so this ine seemed appropriate. Quick easy find. Left 1949 halfpenny. TFTC.
TFTC. Chilly morning but we warmed up with a quick find. Found with Lazraa. Thanks to CO.
Congratulations on another grandchild. Having 4 kids myself I think daughters are so my harder to raise than sons. My first find of this series so Ill keep a look out for the others and try and add to my list of caches. TFTc
I am having a lovely slow cache day today and this location was perfect for me. A great spot for a stroll and explore and a great spot for the geopooch to have a swim. Whats more, she found another ball so she is very happy indeed. The cache was quite a quick find and although it was wet inside, the log was nice and dry. Congratulations on the girl! It's a girl No. 2 is find number 3,445 for me. A fun small sized traditional cache I enjoyed finding as one of my caching adventures in Macedon Ranges Shire. Unless otherwise mentioned above, I found the coordinates to be accurate, the cache in good condition and the log dry and with plenty of room to sign. I am logging this one on Friday 14 June 2024 at 3:04 pm and the weather is Overcast Clouds 9C 71% 3 m/s . Thanks for placing this cache for the rest of us to enjoy mazza-g.*Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
Well its the long weekend and I was wondering what to do so a trip up to Bendigo was called for. This weekend will help me continue along with my streak which I want to get to 183 as any more is just to hard to achieve.Im having to resort to detours on the way home from work but a weekend trip away will help me along and also any excuse to get out of Melbourne is a great idea. After a great day yesterday of caching and sight seeing and a good nights rest (after finding somewhere to stay as Bendigo appears to be booked out) its time for some more caching and to slowly make my way home. After visiting a couple of reservoirs it was starting to get late and this was the last one for the day.I waited for a couple of muggles to leave and then soon had the cache in hand.A nice spot down along here. Thanks mazza-g TFTC.
Out and about in the Malmsbury district in the PeuGEOt with Mrs Cogs. Found a doll in a nearby stump which raised the adrenalin to be a red herring.TFTC
Currently staying at the timeshare resort in Kyneton. After a few days of Family engagements, we had another free day today. After a trip to the Mount Macedon Memorial Cross and Hanging Rock we stopped in town on our way back to the resort to find the last two caches. What a fantastic spot. There was a Muggle family in the playground but not long after we arrived they moved on and we were able to make a quick easy find. Thanks for placing this cache to show us more of the area. Without caching we would never have found or known this area existed. TNLNSL.
Nice easy find, coords where slightly off. Inside of container is very well decorated but a bit wet. No logbook to be seen... tftc
Nevermind, I found the logbook on the ground. It had fallen out as I opened the box and I didn't see it. All good
Thanks for this! It was a great find and our girls loved the hunt, especially being a girl thing! What a fun thing to do. This is our first find and we are looking forward to more !
The inside of this geocache is decorated so cutely! Congratulations on the granddaughter and other grandchildren. The inside of the cache is slightly wet but the logbook is nice and dry. TFTC
Took me a while to find this one but I was looking in the wrong place but very nice binding spot not hard not extra easy and omg it was so cutely decorated! TFTC!
Such a beautiful spot here, with a great amount of history attached to the area. I still love that people treat this as the local swimming hole. TFTC.
My GPS was way off with this one. Luckily my geo-instincts kicked in and I found the hide after a little wandering around. Hiding spot was literally submerged in water after heavy rains last night. Cache was completely dry inside however, though I wonder if this one might be worth moving for longevity. TFTC!
Coordinates took me a little while to find it. Dont go climbing like we did. Lol This was a geocachers find, if you know you know! Great fine and stunning spot at the corners edge! Love the history too! Thanks!
What a great way to commemorate births I discounted my 1st thought for the hide due to coords but soon reconsidered and there it was!!A beautiful day for a daunder by the river. I've often wondered if I could Kayak here - that was answered today I've lived around here for over 16yrs & never got round to walking/cycling this path until today. I don't generally like town routes but there are very few people today & I'm loving it. It's not going to be my last!! Many thanks
The Campaspe was running well after recent summer rain.Nice spot to hide this one.Always nice to sign a fresh logsheet. Thanks mazza-g
Found it! Lovely day for a cache search. The hidden was waterlogged though after all the rain and the container wet so the log book was soaked.
My first find! Lovely spot. If you have the time go for a long walk up the river in either direction.
What a beautiful spot. Would be very peaceful if not for the gent speaking loudly on a mobile my entire visit. Don't think he'll have much luck catching fish if he keeps that up! Cache is damp. TN, left a pathtag. TFTC
TFTC! GPS was a little off so took a bit to locate but a very clever nook. Made me think of To Kill a Mockingbird.
Very sneaky hide! Loved it. Lovely to sit and watch the river for a spell. Thanks for bringing us to this corner of eve river. No pen so was not able to sign. TFTC!

Found by Aussie Train Driver 28/10/2023, find number 1722.Catching up on some belated logging today.Out for an afternoon walk with the family from the nearby botanic gardens. This one took quite a while to locate and we were hampered by several muggles before finally making the find. Great spot for a cache.TFTC!
What a beautiful picnic spot amazed at these places I keep finding when as kids we were always in this area! Lots of water flowing and looks a lovely walk! Thanks mazza-g for placing this cache, for bringing me here and contributing to this great game for others to enjoy. Happy trails, Deanside
What a beautiful river location.Quite a busy path too today. Thanks for showing us this spot.
Heading home after a fab couple of days in Mildura. Am going to try hard to not stop for every single one as Ill never get home. Thanks for your cache Mazda-g on my journey home to South Gippsland Regards kbucky
Quick find at a beautiful spot on the Campaspe River which is flowing nicely after recent rain. In Kyneton for work and getting a few caches on the way home. Thanks.
