Logs
Arrived at GZ, saw the likely tree, and climbed up. I didnt find any cache at first, only a cable tie. So I presumed that it had fallen off.Once I got back down I looked around the area and sure enough found the cache container on the ground. It was in good condition and after signing I returned it to what I assume was its original spot, but I will contact CO to make sure. TFTC - deserves a FP for the effort.
Should I be tree climbing with a broken rib? Probably not. Restless energy today and couldnt help myself. Thanks for the little adrenaline boost
Great first up cache for this lovely day in Launceston. SL at 7:30am. My team was a TOTT found on site to get me started. TFTC.
Thanks sqwash for placing Paw Patrol - Sky. Swampy and I came back to plunder more of the NW coast over a long weekend. This is day 3, we are heading back along the coast to Launceston today. This run has us finding both GC and GCA caches. So many caches, so little time. This is my GC find #1938 and was found on 18/8/2024 at 15:02
Finally made it back to try again. And there it was easily seen & retrieved. TFTC and a fun series for the kids
hi minisqwash, and sqwash,Thanks for the cache I spotted the cache as I approached and wondered if I'd be able to reach it. I checked out the anchor and then flipped it down with a natural tool. That was easy! The hardest part was getting the log out, that took a while, but I got there eventually and added my moniker. A slightly easier replacement, using the same tool to push it back up the last few centimetres.Found - after walking parkrun with my Bro then family brunch - during a quick overnighter from Hobart with pharmaAl to visit family.Cheers,EPs
4th time is the charm for this one, not sure how i missed it before. thank you squash for the placement. fav for the fustration haha
This geocache was found on the ground about one metre away from a tree. CO has been contacted about this matter it is now placed in a temporary location...Thanks for the CacheFind#189Search/SL Time=30S/15:00Today Found/DNF=9/1
Hi sqwash. Today I found your cache Paw Patrol - Sky. Continuing my quest to complete my find calendar five times over, this cache has contributed to that self imposed challenge. Thanks for hiding the cache for me to find today. Sighted this one but couldnt reach so I dont know if this counts as a find or not. May have to do this one again with someone a bit taller than me
Replaced container after being muggled again. It's moved about a metre from original location
The only cache on the series we just could not find, 4 sets of eyes, 2 climbers and we had a fair few big hints from the CO. We will be back to avenge you SKY left a Tas Rock here at the bade of the tree
Today we revisited this cache and made a quick find, thank you for replacing sqwash & minisqwash.
Out and about but failed to unearth this one. We found the cable tie but no bison attached.
Unfortunately this was broken today and I won't get out to replace it until the rain subsides.
Easy find. We didn't climb up to sign the log as there was an intoxicated muggle with some choice words there Could easily see the number from the ground though
A great variety of hide for Lonnie, was able to reach from the ground with a TOTT, cache was signed and is all goodToday nettieknows and I headed out and about Launceston to find a large chunk of the new caches that have been published around the city, a lovely afternoon with just over 20 findsThanks for the cache
21265During our great trip around the world we arrived in Australia after visiting Canada, US, and some places in the Caribean Sea and Central America as well as Fiji. Besides lots of sightseeing, we can't do without caching, of course. That's why we also passed by this place, searched for the cache, found it and successfully signed the logbook.Thank you for hiding and maintaining the cache. Only thanks to dedicated owners is this beautiful game possible.Wir danken alle Cache-Ownern fr ihren Einsatz, denn ohne die Gemeinschaft ist dieses tolle weltweite Hobby nicht zu realisieren.
This my last Geocaching trip away in Tazzie for 2023, i have plans to grab about 10-12 hides before checking into my accommodation at 14:00, having a frothy or two then going for the usual walk to grab some more on foot before having tea. This was the other, more distant, from where i'm staying, cache in this cool series so i wanted it straight away before booking into my accommodtion. Once at GZ i was worried i couldn't reach it, but with some clever moves the cache was soon in hand and the 2nd number for the Mystery Final Cache was noted. The log was signed as BWT and dated, then returned at 11:11 on Monday 18 December 2023.TFTC sqwash & minisqwash
With a free morning, we had the opportunity to head to Launceston to look for caches that have been published since our last visit. The weather was fine and warm but it was the heaviest traffic we have seen on the highway for quite some time. So it had to be a patient drive. We were fortunate that we found the eight caches within two hours and were able to get back home in the early afternoon. We had located this cache during our previous visit but the container was too high for either of us to reach and neither of us are tree climbers. So we returned today with our ladder - only needed the first three rungs - and we were able to retrieve the container and the log. As the log gets handled more, the paper is becoming worn and is increasingly difficult to put back into the container after signing the log. Thanks sqwash for this cache and the series. As mentioned previously, we now have some appreciation of Paw Patrol and understand why the series is a favourite of minisqwash.
Found with Geo Maggie on a very warm morning. Clever hide. Well done. Found, stamped and replaced, with Maggie and Mollie, my GeoWesties, while roaming around Tasmania with our motorhome Mylittlebus looking for content for our TASMANIA ALL OVER facebook page. Thanks for placing this cache (and others), keeping us on our exploring toes.
Heading back from our Devonport Day trip, budgie and I called into Launceston to do some maintenance for some geocaching friends. Having found a lot of low D/Ts today this cache piqued with some nicer numbers. We deployed the ladder that had lay idle all day and budgie popped up a couple of steps and handed me the log. He was sort of wedged/squashed between the ladder and a branch, it was a comical sight. Thanks sqwash
A trip to Devonport with Goose as we both had a day off. I certainly needed a break as I hadnt really had a day away just caching for a little while. Great day, with the odd shower, but I managed to find quite a few caches as well as get two FTF's which is unusual for me to get even one. The highlight of the day would probably be the FTF on the Hancock clan's cache on the midlands highway. A very cool cache. Thanks for the cacheTo save the climb, I got the ladder out and used 2 stepsTFTC
We came to Launceston today for another purpose, but we took the opportunity to look for some caches that have been placed since our last visit. We were hopeful, but not confident, that we would have time to look for caches in this series. We had seen Paw Patrol in the TV program lists but, until this series was published, we did not make the effort to find out what it was about. Having seen an episode or two, we can understand why minisqwash is a avid fan.Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. However, we had not done our homework and arrived without reading the attributes. Consequently we did not have the necessary TOTT with us (we don't climb trees any more) to get to the cache. It was fortuitous for us that we were able to locate the hint for the final whilst we stood on the ground. So, we had a full set of values to enable us to look for the final. However, we will have to return at a later date with an appropriate TOTT to retrieve the cache and sign the log. Thanks minisqwash and sqwash for the cache and the series.
What a spectacular old tree.We had no TOTT so Mr Beetle had to get this the hard way, and wearing thongs too!The log was a tight fit but otherwise all was good here and we were well hidden from the many passing muggles. We don't have a dog anymore but have our grandpuppies quite often and one of them is a husky named SKYE!!Thanks sqwash or a great hide in a beautiful tree.
A rare day to myself with not much to do. Out for a stroll to track down a couple of local caches. Up we go, one down, thanks..!!
TFTC Third to find Scraped all my hands and most of my legs but was definitely worth it
Sky was a quicker find that a retrieve but retrieve it I did and was able to sign a blank log so another FTF. Thank you for a very enjoyable series which I trust I will be able to complete after I have corrected the irregularity of 2 DNFs
