Today the geocaching plan for Taurus Six and myself was to clear up some outstanding caches around the Collie area. There are several out that way that have been on our radar for quite a while and we have just not gotten around to getting them. We decided to head there via Australind where we note a new cache had been published recently and an old cache had been replaced. We headed out quite early , although the sun was up. We really enjoyed our walk out onto the Australind jetty before heading to Collie via Raymond Road. The caches we were focusing on in Collie were all in lovely bush setting, many need a short walk to get to which was the highlight of the day, they weather was winter perfect and the bush is so nice at this time of year. All in all a great day of geocaching was had, ten cache finds and about 6 kms of walking. This was our fourth cache find of the day. We parked up a little way away from gz and then we took the river track to walk to the look out , it was a nice short walk with lots of interesting fungi along the way. Once at the lookout , which is a good view. cache soon located , logged and replaced . Thanks for the cache find CGrant88 .
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 45 - Collie day. It rained all night and it rained on and of fall day. I spent lots of time in the car waiting for rain to ease and way too much time running back to the car as the rain got too heavy. I am rally impressed by the ground drainage, some of the dirt tracks I went on were great despite all the rain. It was a difficult day, A few more DNFs than I would have like, but I did get to visit quite a few very interesting places and the tourist drive along the river was amazing. In the end I just went home and cooked dinner and watched TV, a bit unusual for me on a trip. The few caches I found along the river were very impressive. I enjoyed this section and found all but one that I tried for, once again dodging rain showers. Thanks for the cache CGrant8847639.23 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2012 Don't Forget A#241**Albida**
A trip south had been planned to clean up the most recent offerings, here we are with Geocaching adding several KMs to the car again. Got to love the freedom of a work vehicle and this hobby! TFTH
Had a few hours spare this morning so decided on a drive down to Collie to pickup a few caches - all park and grabs in this horrendous heat. Thanks for a great morning out.

[^] *FTF* @ 10.15am [^]Camped at Potters Gorge for a few days we noticed these caches upon waking in the morning so decided that this would be our first stop before running some errands in town... The weather has been awful for our trip, but we were very happy to see a glimpse of sunshine as we arrived to this lovely viewpoint Finding this one was a team effort as I spotted it & Jase made the retrieval here... What a great location for your first cache, congratulations & TFTC CGrant88
