Logs
Mmm which log ??? Lucky it was a quick find muggles and their pooches approached. Picked up a few winged buzzers along the way. Tftc
I took our sweet girl Maggie for her first run in the off leash park. As I sat down I saw the container and immediately knew what it was. It's been a while since I hunted, time to get back in the game. TYFTC.
(8 of 10 today - including 2 Adventure Labs)Thought for today's finds I would do a lazy wander between Sun Valley and Lawson. That said, my first two finds weren't exactly "lazy" with a bit of terrain to negotiate. Two DNFs for the day - both by the same CO - were as downer, but one more nice bush hide as well as finishing with two ALs brightened things back up.A good haul.###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###Still lots of people around this one - well in the park. Went for it anyway and wasn't the only poochless person in there.Got to GZ and had a few options to check. Took a few tries but finally spotted it - safe in it's spot but with the lid off.Made the grab and took a short distance to complete signing duties. The log showed signs of water damage, but was dry and I signed it. Back for the replace and then out of there. Now to hit the shops...SLTNLNTFTC###START OF ADVENTURE LAB SECTION###At the Lawson shops I had instructions from the Geowife to grab some milk. As I have a cooler bag, this is as good a place as any. In the process, I snaffled the first two AL locations here. I got:* Lawson War Memorial* Welcome to Lawson MuralTime to get that milk home.
We arrived here at morning tea time, so we pulled out our folding chairs and had a cuppa in the carpark. We were entertained by a professional dog walker who somehow dragged 9 dogs out of her small car. Then she locked them up at the entrance where there is a 2m by 2m fenced area between the gates, whilst she cleaned up their poops. They all started howling at her to hurry up. After our refreshing cuppas we enjoyed a nice little walk to the cache. One nice little dog came over to talk to us. Thanks WaywardWoman for this enjoyable cache.
What a great place for dogs to run around! Thanks for showing and placing, tftc!
TFTC - very quiet down at the dog park which assisted with locating the cache as otherwise a high muggle area. Walked past the cache on a number of occasions on previous visits to the dog park. Easy to find when at GZ. Great to bring more people to this excellent facility.
Stumbled across this one, wasn't even looking, signed and tucked it a bit further into concealment, great cache new book and pencil and some trophies i took a dinosaur, ill go back and put something new in there. thtc.
This must be the biggest dog park that I have ever seen; well I guess it was a golf course in a past life. Frazeydaze wondered what had been done with the former Katoomba golf course. It wasn't until we were leaving that we sighted a dog. A quick find at the log which I was a little apprehensive plunging my hand in.TFTC WaywardWoman
Back to the dog park for another of WaywardWomans caches. The last cache for the day. Lucky to find before the rain arrived. Thanks to WaywardWoman for placing the cache.
Brought the dog for a run. Parked at front gate of dog park and walked the 200m to gz. Quick find and sign. All quiet in here this afternoon. Tftc
Found while heading up the mountains this morning. A quick find. Coords spot on!Lots of dogs around, but because it is such a big area, none were nearby when I found the cache. TFTC WaywardWoman
After work I brought our little champion for a walk and made a bonus find. I hid a cache near here many years ago for the 1st Hazelbrook Cub Scouts to find one evening. TFTC.
I sadly did not find this cashe if you are going to be looking for it wear long pants instead of shorts because there will be spiky plants you should note that this is at a cemetery not next to it directly at it.
You do not need to worry about long pants or spiky plants for this cache. The cemetery is far away from the enclosed dog park which contains this cache.
FTF, I saw this one get published yesterday and thought that this may be my first FTF, but I didn't get the opportunity to cache yesterday afternoon due to Uni commitments, so this afternoon after a zoom meeting I checked again and it had remained unfound so I decided to go on a drive up the mountains to check this one out and here we are, thank you wayward woman for placing this cache.
