02-Dec-23
I arrived about half way through to find a large group already assembled. Apparently I missed the Christmas Carols being sung - what a shame! Nice to catch up (for the first of several times today) with a number of cachers. Thanks to Suscoe for organising the event.I was in the Geelong area for the annual Chrismas caching festivities, and to join up with McLookers, Feathertop, ConnieandRick, Micaparamedic, Moonb1 and Alansee to target some special caches in between. Thanks to suscoe for the cache.

02-Dec-23
A nice start to the day, in good company. We came, we chatted, we sang, and we escaped the rain. Thank you for inviting us to the beloved waterfront to mix with other cachers, and for the treats for our sweet teeth!

So glad I had travelled to Melbourne yesterday, and had packed clothing for all seasons. Certainly appreciated my poncho and beanie this morning. My lovely in-laws gave me accommodation and brought me to the event, but it was still a long walk in the light rain from the car park, to this well attended event. Thanks for the first of four that KBucky, Ronice88 and I intend to attend today. And thankyou also Suscoe for hosting it, and the chocolate Santa ??

02-Dec-23
It was a terrific event to attend with so many keen cachers who got up early as well on a Saturday morning. The company was wonderful, the singing was splendid, the location was pleasant and the rain was....wet!!Great to see everyone!! Thanks for coming along.

Once I heard the Geelong Christmas event dates had been locked in, I booked my accommodation for the 2 nights required at Little River.I headed down last night to save the longer drive this morning and also I could get a sleep in as well.I woke up to a rather damp morning but that has never put us Geocachers off before.Arrived at the carpark, donned the jacket and off I went to get my much needed coffee.I met the lovely hosts and somehow they did not believe me when I told them that it was fine and sunny from where I just came from and Geelong is always like this.Had the much needed coffee, waited for the rest of the group to arrive and then warmed up the vocal cords to belt out a couple of carols.Great to catch up with other cachers that braved the damp conditions. Now to find some bollards along the water front. Thanks suscoe TFTEC.

02-Dec-23
Of course Mary & David were there. A very early start for us from maccamob HQ. Happy Birthday Eddie (for the first time of several today),. Our thanks to suscoe.

02-Dec-23
After an early parkrun at the nearby gardens this was the perfect segue to start the weekend. Carols were sung with gusto. Thanks again for organising Suscoe.

02-Dec-23
Thank you Suscoe for the morning catchup and the chance to meet many cachers who I only knew by name. It was lovely to put faces to names, especially yours. Regardskbucky

02-Dec-23
Rather happy to have made it to Geelong from home base some distance away. This first event of the marathon caching day that was to follow proved to be a cheerful chirpy event to start the day. And that was despite the drizzle. It was beaut to catch up and put names to a few faces. THANKS for putting it on.

Pleased that we stayed just up the road from here as if it was this wet back in Melbourne when we got up to leave, we probably wouldn't have made the trip. I am glad we did. There was a decent crowd especially considering the weather. We sang our carols and a couple of ladies having a coffee at the cafe joined in with us. Even though it was drizzling, we all had a bit of a chat. Thanks for holding this event.

08:30One misty morning,Without any warning,We sang our songs at Eastern Beach,To begin a day of events we could reach! Our appreciation and thanks to suscoe for managing this damp Event. 36229

Smiley # 13172In Geelong for the Christmas events.Over the past years I've attended lunches and evening events in Geelong for christmas but I'm pretty sure this has been my first morning event. The weather was not too promising but we managed a couple of carols without getting too wet. TFTEvent suscoe

02-Dec-23
First weekend in December and were in Geelong for the annual day of geocaching events. Of course it starts off at ungodly hour for a Saturday, in particular. At least it got us out and caching early in the day. A good hot chocolate and great crowd of geocaching friends to start the day is certainly a good way to get inspired. Thanks for organising the event Suscoe!

02-Dec-23
It may be a miserable day weather wise but that didn't dampen the spirits of all who made it to this event this morning.Thank you suscoe for hosting this event

02-Dec-23
08:40I caught a train. Barely... my first coffee of the day went all over the floor, so cleaning up the mess and making a replacement soaked up all the time I had in hand, and some. So I frog marched a sub seven minute kilometre, catching my breath, I dunno, around the time of the transfer at North Melbourne.Imagine my relief to be on the Warrnambool bound service.Fortunately, it was only drizzling a little during the walk to Eastern Beach. Thanks, suscoe.#8040

Catching up on a bit of logging (most of it late or very late, apologies on that fact).I enjoy attending these events, it's great to catch up with other cachers to chat about all things caching.thanks for hosting this ripper event. Thanks to suscoe for organising this event.

An excellent yet damp start to a day of Christmas celebrations in the Geelong area.We missed this event last year but made sure our calendar was cleared to enjoy the whole day of festivities. Some of those out having the daily constitutional may have been a little nonplussed by the group Christmas Carolling so early on a drizzly cold morning, but it certainly warmed the cockles on the hearts of those present. There was plenty of conversation with old and new friends, and then it was off to find a cache or two before the lunchtime event.Thank you, suscoe, for hosting this excellent Event.

02-Dec-23
When we arrived, the weather wasnt very promising, but we managed to sing the carols, have a chat and then head off to do some caching.

02-Dec-23
Arrived in time to miss the glorious singing - not by design! A pity about the weather. Everyone was in good spirits just the same. Thanks for organising this event again suscoe

02-Dec-23

02-Dec-23
The train from Melbourne got in just in time for us to join this gathering. We had lots of liquid sunshine to start our day in Geelong. Thanks to McLookers for picking me up from the station.

02-Dec-23
A goodly roll up considering the early hour and the unseasonal weather. I was a tad late and missed the singing. But stayed talking in he rain before continuing the day. Thanks for organising this event Suscoe

02-Dec-23
