Cache # 11440 on 14 Sep 2024Out to grab some caches with Fox in Jox and ZQX on a cool morning which happily warmed out very nicely. We started in Umbagong park and then headed north side to pick up a few solved puzzles and multis and grab some morning tea at Knox Cafe! Found this one on our way through Umbagong Park. Managed to avoid the park runners for the most part! Dropped a path tag for the next finder. Thank you bolshie1 for the cache and the fun!
Out for the day with DARKSIDEDAN and C10A to get as many points as possible for the Cosmic Quest. Logs signed DQ10. Thank you to all of the local geocachers who are absolute legends for hiding these caches!
What a beautiful park! Another delightful pocket of green tucked away in the suburbs.Out here collecting info for a multi, and walked straight past this one so thought Id better grab itthanks!

Found during the Mega event in Canberra over the Easter long weekend. Our team comprised courtneyrose_, Davidwazza, e.gregory1, Featherwaite, Freddo, gridge98 and Team Waldron, signing the logs as ABP to save time and space in the logbooks , or with our individual caching names. Enjoyed a great weekend away finding a rewarding range of cache types, d/t combinations, cache hides and retrievals. Thanks for the cache bolshie1!

Found while attending the Mega event in Canberra over Easter. The trip bit.Easter geocaching festival of twenty twenty four. This time it is the turn of Oz Mega GeoBash MEGA event in the nation's capital. It is time for a road trip across country to Canberra in the Sporty Pajero Sports. Freddo and Gridge98 traveling from Adelaide via a strange inland route that takes in scenic rural locations, dusty roads, punctured tyres, overheating batteries, various tools of the trade, special campgrounds, and lots scope for many many geocaching finds. Along the way we saw running emus, jumping kangaroos, wandering deer, dead foxes, herds of wooly sheep and stray steers.Arriving in Canberra we met our colleagues e.gregory1, featherwaite, team waldron, courtney rose, davidwazza, signing as ABP, plus a huge group of other like minded excited mega geocachers attending event after event, and more events.Day one. Adelaide to Broken HillDay two. Broken Hill to WellingtonDay three. Wellington to CowraDay four. Cowra to BathurstDay five. Bathurst to CanberraDay six. Canberra to CanberraDay seven. Canberra to QueenbeeyanDay eight. Canberra to AdelaideThe generic bit.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Found with fitzy - Another day out and about enjoying the warmth and daylight savings while we can. All caches were found in good condition unless otherwise stated. A nice quick find here once at GZ. Thanks bolshie1.
34,521. Found with minniek during another meander around North Canberra.Enjoying daylight savings while it lasts, we picked a few caches to do this afternoon before heading home to Goulburn. This was a nice quick find in a very familiar location - I have enjoyed walking around this area for decades. Nice to see the new works open. Once we arrived at GZ it was a nice quick find. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then continued on to the next cache on our list. Thanks bolshie1 !!
Despite the hint being a bit outdated the cache is still here! Nice paint work. TFTC!
And not because of the possible out of date hint?Even had a couple of other cachers turn up but to no avail. Will be back with something to make looking low easier on the ancient knees.
Lured into the park by a Lavitar I was so close and just had to come over for aa nice cache find. Quick find, nice cache well done on the attachment amd camo color, all in good order. Thank you bolshie1 for putting the cache out and maintaining it.
Tftc! Hired the free e-bikes from Ginninderry and went looking for a few caches today! Brilliant hide
Awesome to be guided back to this location through geocaching to witness change! I really love that! I remember seeing the old bridge closed off with the temporary fencing which someone has smashed down... despite their best efforts it seemed like someone really wanted to continue crossing that old bridge and made their way through regardless! Well, now there is a new bridge and this lap can be completed as intended once more! I am sure the local dog walkers are thrilled, if they have even realised! I reckon most locals changed their route and might not even know it's finally fixed! Thanks for the cache! A very quick find with the hint!
Out with Tankengine and dty73 for an outing and a bit of caching. It wasn't too far. It did take us a bit longer than it should of to spot though!
Out for a spot of caching with Tankengine and Aquilus1. We came by here and it took us longer than it should have to find. But really a straightforward find and sign then back to the car. Tftc!!!
Nice new bridge - great to see! Nice quick find here with a solid hint. TFTC bolshie1.
#4571 Found with DeadThief @ 9.38am. I was at home finishing up some office work contemplating a cache to finalise my daily streak. After 1148 days of physically holding a cache in my hand. 3 years 1 month and 22 days it was time to let it end prior to going on holidays with limited opportunity to continue. What better way to finish than with a [FTF]. Grabbed DT and headed to a rather familiar area for us both. A short stroll in an DT soon spotted the cache as I was making it more technically difficult than need be. It is also rather fitting that a chance find in Umbagong Park in 2014 was the start of my geocaching adventure. Thanks bolshie1 for placing this cache for our enjoyment.
#4144These bridges are a huge improvement on the old ones, thanks for bringing me back
Found 15:27 22/12/2023 while taking the geodog for a walk. Thank you bolshie1 for the cache and bringing me to this location.
While I do enjoy crossing rickety condemned bridges, glad to see them eventually replaced with something more appropriate.Cache quickly found, signed and replaced
