WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 60 - Swan Valley Perth Day 5. After a wet morning, I only went out for a short morning caching in the suburbs not far from where I am staying. I got to visit a few nice small parks, even a short tree climb. I finished with a walk to a highway intersection for a very concrete cache location. My afternoon was a non caching visit to the Bassendean Railway museum. Tomorrow, I am heading back towards the coast to do a few more counties, even though more rain is predicted.I am glad it was not hot, as the way to this one, from any of the suggested locations, is very exposed. I managed to get there without having to walk up or down the stairs. I checked out the presentation and headed over to where the phone said to look, and found the cache quite readily. Thanks for the cache IMW70001048040.6 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & OZ Mega 2024 A#544**Albida**
Out with BJA3 for another day of adventure. Thanks for placing this hide for us and others to enjoy finding!
For someone who doesnt like walking, the stairs werent fun but a nice easy find after our efforts was a nice reward. TFTC
Out for a drive on the public holiday to pick up a few caches and (hopefully) find somewhere open for lunch in the valley that doesn't require a booking. Stopped off here on my travels. No need to use the stairs from where I parked - which was just as well as a couple of muggles were running up and down them, Jacob's Ladder style. Cache was a nice easy find (timed when they were on an 'up' leg), then checked out the interesting info board nearby. Cool spot which I had no idea existed. All ok here today - TFTC
Find 8 of 15 on a hot bike ride, starting and finishing in Whiteman Park and traversing Bennett Springs, Dayton and Brabham, cleaning up our map.Managed to stitch a route together with minimal ups and downs and didn't have to go over the bridge. Mrs O made a quick find here.TFTC IMW700010!
Hot walk from afar. I was intrigued by what I assumed was the sculpture but I ended up freaked by someone just burning in the sun. Made a hasty retreat. Thanks for the hide.
Out and about again, been a busy couple of weeks with not much caching, managed to get out tonight to grab some green dots to turn yellow east and north of Perth.Found a variety of hides and in different areas which made for a nice day. Generally quick finds todayThanks to all the COs for the hides I found.
Catching up on some CC caching adventure logs. Clocking up some KMs on some all ready recently travelled roads to collect a bunch of Finds. TFTH
We found out that the log had been exposed to water and may need a new one, the problem will hopefully be fix by tomorrow.Thank you jiiminluvr for letting us know -IMW
Picked this cache up while with the Cockburn Crew hoovering up the new hides in the north-eastern suburbs. Thanks IMW700010!
Out and about cleaning up some of my unfound caches. Happy to grab a smiley here Some logs signed as N2OThis is my 11907find.Thankyou IMW700010 for placing and maintaining this cache
Had a drop off in Brookton so decided to make a morning of it and head home via York. The main target for the day was the cache at Kokendin Homestead Ruins which was really our style of caching - history and remote country roads.Had a couple of local ones on the radar on the way home.A great day and thanks for the cache.
Joint *FTF* with axell33! It was an early call from axell33 but luckily didnt wake me up! We met in the car park and made our way to gz. It was a quick find for us. Thank you for this new cache here IMW700010. Worth the trip!
Quick find this morning on the way to work. I drive over this bridge every other day, was in the CBD yesterday so would have been an easy FTF otherwise.Interesting area, hope to see more new hides out this way. TFTC
