On our way back from a few days break north and we decided to stop in Orewa for a few more caches. This was our first stop of the day and we didn't do the dash but we did find the cache in the first place we looked which was great! Can't believe how much development has happened, every time we come to Orewa! TFTC!
I'm cycling around the Orewa estuary today, picking up caches for my 12,000th milestone coming up this Saturday. Done this cycleway several times, but love it to bits! Came up to Orewa on a train and 2 buses, great fun! This area has changed so much over the years, and each time I return, things have changed again, almost to the point I'm not sure where I am. Can't remember if this bridge was here last time, probably was, not sure. Anyway, the cache is here but certainly wasn't on my last visit to the area, thanks for the hide Gareth C.
It's ANZAC weekend so after attending our local service in Maungatapere I headed off to Auckland for a few days geocaching. I had a good few days and got a pleasing amount of caches and exercise. I didn't do a 60m sprint here. Instead I opted for a 60m gentle wander. The new hint was great and I didn't have any trouble finding this one. Thanks for your hide
**20,816**Not so much a 60 metre dash as a 30 metre stroll to GZ, cache soon in hand and we were off back to the van for the next one. TFTC
We've looked for this a couple of times, always searching in what to us were the obvious places. Last time I brought my dad with me, and an old Chinese couple tried to help us. They thought we'd dropped something so kept bringing us sticks. At a recent event I asked a previous finder for a hint, as I had tried following some hints in the logs. Tonight I found it straight away, although once again I almost ended up with my arm stuck.
Out and about with TheLandGirl to grab a few quick caches around Arran Point. This was a bit tricky to access, but TLG with her smaller hands did the honours here. TFTC!
We are out caching around Orewa with Team Welsh this morning. We parked nearby and made our way to GZ. It didn't take long to decide where the cache would be, but just a little longer before we had it in hand. Thanks.
Di helped me on this one as my arm and hands were to big to reach around Tftc
Out with kiwicouple today and between the 3 of us it didn't take too long to figure out where it was going to be. Thanks for this cache placement. We had more of a gentle stroll over the bridge to another cache as opposed to a dash.
We had a quick look for this cache based on the hint, then read some previous logs and changed our thinking slightly. Then we had the cache in hand in moments.
Out on a ladies caching day with Net and SN. After stopping for an ice cream at Matakana, we stopped at Warkworth on our way home to collect a few caches. The others had already found this cache and watched on as MrsJAG found the cache in the first place she looked. Thanks for hiding this cache
I needed to find a cache today for the 365 trad a day challenge and as I live locally this was the perfect one to do. Glad to have the hint otherwise it would have taken a lot longer!
I took the harder way. Higher terrian. And Supernannny found it from a better angle. What a relief !
Out for some caching this evening with Net61. Was a bit worried about this one after reading Glyn's log .Looked in a few places with no luck. Then Jan got into some very athletic and acrobatic moves... but still no cache. ( I was getting ready to dial 111! )Then, all of a sudden, I felt in what was actually an obvious place, and I there it was !!!!!Yay!We were so pleased! ....( no need to climb fence by the way....)Thanks, Gareth C, for your third hide!!!!!I remember your first two were a little tricky too.!
Have just checked and the cache is there. Have added a bit more to the hint. Good luck.
Only with help from CO, I think the difficulty attribute should be 3 though , I found it really hard due to the state of health Im in. Evil ?? {FTF}Thanks!
