In Launceston again for a 2-Dayer of full-on Caching (after bringing a mate up here to grab his car).I have been out of this game for too long due to seven weeks of illness thanks to a chest infection that just wouldn't let go, (I'm so glad it wasn't the "100-Day Cough" i was told about)... anyway enough about the 'Hiatus from Health', so being back at it was such a breath of fresh air and being away from down south and back in Lovely-Launnie was just what The Doctor ordered Wink This one was DNF'd back on 7 May of this year, so it and a few others are to become Yellow Smiley Faces, with some luck of course ha ha Big GrinPulled up in the GeoMobile right on GZ and made the find in about a minute [^] Took the cache to the GeoMobile to log it out of Muggle view seeing the car park was beginning to fill, even at 08:30 in the morning (Tradie Utes a plenty). Signed the log at 08:26 on Saturday the 2nd of November 2024.The cache and contents are fine and dry.TFTC Angus88 Smile

On a very exciting trip to Bunnings, this amazing cache popped up. As soon as we were finished getting the gardening supplies we quickly shot off on a 10second stroll across the car park. TFTC.

After a day that didnt go to plan the plan was to climb Mt Arthur but ended up on an array of side quests instead. We picked up a couch, took our washing to the laundry Mat then headed to Bunnings to start a herb garden. A quick detour after putting the plants in the car to find this cache. Uncovered and very visible shiny object there you are! After signing placed back & placed some natural coverage back over it so it hopefully lasts a while longer TFTC

A weird trip to Launceston today. Had a job to do for work which took 30 minutes and then it was caching and op shopping. The caching was poor. The op shopping was great. The caching ended up with 4 dnfs and 6 finds, and I am pretty sure those 4 are gone. Tftc

I was lucky enough to park directly on GZ so i could look with a wee bit more reckless abandon given i was well covered and there were no Muggles near this area at all, but the star picket yielded no cache that may have been on it or at it's base maybe so i had a bit of a dig around it's base in case it was a nano. It may have dropped off into the gravelly ground below or in the concrete corner under all the leaf matter but nothing like a spawn of Satan was found (that's even if it was a nano) so i had a poke in the tree and still no luck. As for the Big Green Shed... i could see the customer attendance was picking up Big GrinTFT challenge anyways, Angus88 Smile

Couldn't find it.

Cant find this. Everything is prickly nearby and catches on your clothes. Had a fairly good look but gave up on this one.

Had a really good look but there was no luck, A ton if wasps were at GZ which didnt help and were pretty angry at us for poking around the tree. I saw the star picked instantly and even wondered if it was pointing to something but i just couldnt find it.

Tasmania Trip Day 11. My last big day in Tasmania was the journey from Hobart to Launceston. Most of the day was highway driving, but there were two counties to visit before arriving. Even then I still had two more counties to the north and east of Launceston, and that took another three hours, which brought me back to my accommodation juts in time for a fairly late dinner for me. I then had to rearrange my car so stuff was ready for tomorrows boat trip and then it was off to mixed nights sleep with lots of noise from revelers outside the hotel. As I headed into town, I could not resist the urge to stop for one more cache before heading to my accommodation. The access to the area is a bit convoluted, I wonder how the locals cope. Oh well, I parked right at GZ and had it in hand almost immediately. Thanks for the cache Angus8846074.11 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2013 Griffins A#250**Albida**

In Tassie for the next few months. So many great places to visit and so many different caches to find.Meanandering about on some of these country roads and took a slight detour for a few hides in town. An easy enough find at GZ.Thanks Angus88 for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.

Second cache for the day and a quick find thanks to the generous clue.Pretty sure that when our muggle son tried to take his dogs in to the Devonport Bunnings they wouldn't let him in unless the dogs [huskies] were muzzled. Little dogs don't have to be - I wonder how this is fair??Hasn't stopped me shopping at Bunnings but not impressed by this rule. The only time his dogs have had an issue was when a jack russell attacked them [they were on lead and it wasn't] and they retaliated. Needless to say the jack russell came off second best. Thanks for the cache, sorry about the rant!

With a free morning, we had the opportunity to head to Launceston to look for caches that have been published since our last visit. The weather was fine and warm but it was the heaviest traffic we have seen on the highway for quite some time. So it had to be a patient drive. We were fortunate that we found the eight caches within two hours and were able to get back home in the early afternoon.Judged by the number of cars, there were quite a number of pilgrims in the Green Shed at the Church of the Red Hammer today. Luckily we were able to find a park very close to GZ. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Angus88 for this cache and the series. We could just picture Angus in a trolley being chauffeured around the Green Shed - he would have been in his element. It was hard, but we did resist entering the Green Shed and making a contribution to the collection plate.
