A mystery! The only wound in a large eucalyptus tree there was no box.. Wonder if someone has taken it..
Nice peaceful location away from the hustle and bustle of the bike ride. Thanks for the hide!

Australia’s first Geo-Tour was launched today in Alexandra. Based around Lake Eildon, this is the perfect area to come on a geocaching holiday. The tour is complemented by numerous individual caches of all types and sizes, such as this well themed cache.
Thanks to Biggles Bear for the hunt.

Day two around Eildon with BettyBoo3747. We started caching by driving up to the great view over Eildon, and finished the day with the view on the other side.
I must admit we also didn't see any signs of tigers
But not being a frequenter of Macca's we had no swaps today.
A nice park to walk around though, and a good sized cache.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 6821. Our second day in the area and Robmc and I continued our sight-seeing and caching drive around this scenic area. The countryside looks lovely in its Spring greenery and blossom.
An almost 12 year old cache, and still going strong! I don't get to do many really old caches. The log book could be replaced although there are a few blank pages dotted throughout. I scrubbed out several rude drawings and sayings left by a muggle in June this year. Why can't they leave things alone. A new book might be a good idea.
Thanks Biggles Bear

Found with _joshnh. The log book if full, needs replacing. Nice day for a walk around the reserve. TFTC

Long weekend staying nearby so a great opportunity to pick up some caches out of my usual urban locality. This was the fifth of six I found on an early Sunday morning caching run whilst Tarbit and Geobaby were still waking up. This was a great location and another that I was unlikely to have visited without having a cache to find. I parked as near as I could and jogged my way to this one. Checked slightly the wrong spot at first but readjusted and the cache was in hand. TNLNSL and visited a TB. Thanks for the cache Biggles Bear.

This could well be our oldest cache that we have found - not really sure as I have not been keeping track but don't remember any that are more than 10 years old.
Really loved the walk in, our fave type of cache! Well done to protect the cache from water damage for 12 years! More people should do this cache
We looked in the obvious place but didn't see anything, we wonder if the cache has been removed.

Great hide, saw another family of muggles who were out walking and knew nothing about geo caching. Left travel bug diabetes one.
Quick find while visiting my 2nd mother.
Better half was not feeling the best so was back at the motel, great time to see if I can clean up the caches in Alex.
I just feel a tad awkward looking in trees and off beaten tracks in a place that has possible wriggle sticks.

The weather during the working week wasn't great and maybe due to the grey skies I was super keen to hit the trail/road for some caching. The event in Alexandra "Leaving on a Jet Plane", by Nufrat, was just the perfect excuse to make the hike out to these distance lands and regions that I hadn't hit so far. In summary the 14 hour run result in 21 finds with a mixture of high and low D/T ratings and by the late afternoon the clouds had cleared which made for some impressive views of Lake Elidon. The night had clear skies and no wind which made for some great night caching too. This epic run started at 6am and I crawled back into HQ around 10:30pm and was asleep by 10:35pm.[xx(] Another epic run completed which was just awesome. Today was on the trail with caching wing man and buddy Ahomburg.
Having attended Nufrat's "Leaving on a Jet Plane" event we decided to hit Alexandra and clear out as many caches as possible. This one been on the radar for awhile due to its age and a cache placed in a month of year, that I still did not have. An impressive find and while on approach we bumped into Riddell. During the week, a plan was put in place to attend the Nufrat "Leaving on a Jet Plane" event in Alexandra, so My caching partner in crime, SedgwickDave and I decided to make a full day of it. I picked up Dave at 6AM and we headed first to Marysville to pick up a few there first.
After finishing up at the event and saying our good byes, we decided to go and find all the newly published caches in town as well as any others we came across in our travels.
On approach to this one, we bumped into Riddell who we cached with for the rest of the afternoon. We seemed to be wandering around a bit searching for this one, but Ian found it in what should have been the most obvious spot. It was great to be able to find this cache, hidden back in 2002.
Thanks to James with Biggles Bear for the cache. TNLN

A lovely walk in the bush today, found relatively late this morning, and by the time we got back to the car boy was the day turning into a scorcher! We've been so lucky weather-wise on our caching days this summer so far we forgot how hot our great land can become. Cache was retrieved relatively quickly once we arrived at GZ, with a gps which miraculously had great reception for a wooded area! TFTC
A big day of caching, it started last night at about 10pm with Stemicmitsar and SirJ-Oz, we found about 24 and I arrived home at 6.30am. Once back home and after 90mins sleep I was rudely awaken by some FTFs which were too close to ignore.. Now after another 45mins sleep I picked up Delicate for a trip up north to the Strathbogies.. We were due there for tea, however there was still ample time to smash out another 12 or soo enroute.. Thanks Biggles Bear for the cache and the stretch of the legs... Find # 3194
Another chance to stretche the legs was welcomed, we had some concern for snakes here, there was nothing to worry about though.. found quickly and signed.. Thanks for the cache..

Sunny day Nice for walking bit slippery underfoot and I could be lady entry in log book very gull. Yftc
Thinking we should do a few more caches around Alexandra after a DNF we took the back roads and arrived at a walking track. We don't know if this was an AWG mission but we were only 3 years late when we found the cache at 15:35. tnln tftc.

Our second find in this interesting parkland. Lots of monarch butterflies accompanying us on our walk. Beavar came along for the stroll too. SL at 4.40pm. Took: pink hair tie Left: yellow pig. Sorry we didn't have any Macca's toys to swap James. Noted the past mining activities and were careful not to fall into any of those 'tiger traps'. TFTC James with Biggles Bear. #909
Second find of the afternoon on a quick drive away from camp to take in a few of the local sites with HarroWang. Nice find and not too difficult for Boxing Day! TFTC
Started to look for it, realised the thongs and snakes don't mix. So ran away scared. Will come back better prepared later
The cycle touring duo did not find this one after first dumping the panniers on the top of the hill, then the bike. Found the location but nothing inside. Heaps of grass seeds in the socks to be removed later.
Found the cache today with beanie A nice stroll to the cache.

#1869 Found on our day out caching in the region and surrounding areas. It was consistently raining whilst we were here but we were well prepared with our wet weather gear so we weren't perturbed at all. Visited the other cache in the area initially then made our way to this one on the well formed walking trails. It was pretty slippery in the rain but we are pleased to report that neither of us went A over T. Cache container was located and found to be dry & in good condition. Returned to the town where I grew up...30 years later to find a geocache containing a geopig...will move him to another cache ASAP
Found on this cache's 9th birthday. They don't come much older. Left a pig TB (I think). Thanks James with BB.
I had the Camera ready and my eyes scanned the landscape en-route and at the Cache location for Tigers but alas I found none, though I did find many Spiders with stripes that looked as if they could cause more damage than a mauling. It was damp and humid, ideal for the Spiders I suppose and the grass in places (off the track) was knee to waist high but why went at this one off track I could never explain sanely. Despite our best efforts to make finding the Cache harder than we ought we did snare this one. There is also a Cache nearby (GCWT90) worth a visit. Found with Dylan 7a. Thank you to 'NCad' for an interesting and enjoyable caching location in a quiet Copse. TNLN.
I hedged my bets deciding to visit this park to ensure that I got at least one find for the day.

Had a look that night before, but got dark quicker than we anticipated. On our walk in the next day we gave way to a wombat that hung around for long enough to have a photo taken. Found quickly. Took Chai Latte due possibility of animals sniffing iy out and disturbing cache. LN SL
#320 I like these caches which involve a walk in the bush. Found while taking the long way home to Melbourne after attending the 10th anniversary get-together of the Melbourne 1st cache. It seemed so obvious where the cache should be and we were getting convinced it'd been muggled when a moment of inspiration prevailed. Lots of mozzies spoiled the enjoyable walk. Thanks James with Biggles Bear.

Thanks to being in Alex for work, I managed this and a few other caches in amongst the obligatory "work". Usually tow a very long trailer but today didn't have that handicap so managed to get to a few places otherwise out of bounds.
Thanks indeed for the stroll, although pretty wet underfoot.

I hadn't stopped at this location before, even though I pass by regularly. Thanks for showing it to me. TNLN.
