A lovely morning walk around Fairfield before continuing onto work.A series of nice caches to get the brain working.TFTC
Had a suspicion what I might be looking for, which turned out to be right, and soon spotted the hide here, TFTC
A bit wet but thankfully umbrella made for easy logging. Out with gdkja for Mega weekend. Tftc
I had a bit of trouble with this one, until I reread the description, and noticed it said it was at chest height Thank you for the cache
Received a text from Grapea. Needed a good reason to get out today- this was it - an opportunity to find some caches. Pretty good afternoon effort with four caches in the bag. Knew what we were looking for here and soon log signed.
Another southerly blast predicted to be on its way, it was important to get out and stretch our legs. The series of four caches in this area of Fairfield was perfect for the job. A quick txt to Kerynz and the game was afoot.Four in the bag and it was back to the warmth of home and a coffeeTFTCFind count: 2623
Today was the first time we've been along this track and what a great asset to the local community it is. We came across lots of locals out walking their dogs on a sunny winters afternoon. I had no trouble finding this cache, IYKYK and they stick out like a sore thumb!! TFTC
I didn't know that this walkway existed until caches appeared along it. Where my Garmin was pointed didn't look interesting so I turned 180 degrees and spotted it within a couple of seconds. Thanks for showing me this walkway and for the cache.
I found this on my first pass fortunately. This track is a great asset - the wood chip surface is lively to walk on.TFTC
An early morning (before work) walk along here meant there was no one about so I could take my time. Stand back and look for a few minutes proved helpful as I had a hand on this 'hidden in plain sight' cache quiickly
Excellent cache - very pleased to eventually find it - we had four of us on the job and it still took a fair while! Luckily no muggles around late on a Sunday afternoon, FH yard quiet. Thanks, have enjoyed exploring along this new track.
Mate isn't this cache a micro? Got to sign the micro logslip after the smaller cache was found. TFTC
Like others we found the bounce off the high bank disconcerting but whilst thinking too hard on the cache, my No.1 turned around and held hand out for the cache and asked is this what you're looking for. Micro cache was soon opened and micro logslip signed before returning it to the micro cache. Left the No.1 to return the cache as he found it and once more the micro became one with the surroundings. Grabbed this cache last on the trail and wonder if the condition of the rest of the trail just walked will soon be more improved. Thanks for leading us around here. **2nd** day - **5th** cache December **Solstice** week souvenir. TFTC
#3 aha! Heard the hint in plain sight, just another rock. No need to bend or clamber, just reach forward and grab. Thanks for placing.
This is well hidden, even if you know what you are looking for. It is also in full view of all the people working down on the Fulton Hogan site, and a couple of them kept an eye on us - but who could suspect a group of people out for a walk of any kind of skullduggery?
Even though we had a previous finder with us, it still took some time the tree for the forest, so to speak.TNLN. TFTC.
This one took Sunflowers26 and I quite some time to find! I'd seen this container a lot before which gave me a bit of an advantage but it took me way too long to pick it out of the lineup here. We took the previous finders' hints to heart - switch your geosenses on, look carefully, and you'll get it eventually. Cheers!
No need to move any rocks. Just walk back and forth looking - it is in plain sight.
Although we suspected we knew what we were looking for, it still took a while to spot. Walking back along the track, we encountered some Fulton Hogan workmen installing a new drain across the track. We had a lengthy discussion, and it sounded as if one of them was the one who spoke to Wilbywarrior while he was looking for the cache. TFTC
Took longer than it should have. As others have mentioned a few passes were made before making the find. A Fulton Hogan worker below asked if I was alright so I explained what I was doing. They had noticed others looking here and thought people had lost some car keys. Thanks for the cache, RubydooplusC#5344
I thought I knew what I was roughly looking for, and I can usually spot them pretty quick. But nope, I must have glanced over this a good few times before.. oh my gosh. Signed and replaced, thanks for bringing us to this new path!
Arriving at GZ and taking the hint into consideration it was obvious what we were probably looking for. Still took several passes before it was spotted. TFTC.
