Logs
We chased a lone black crow off the sports field today on the way to GZ, with only a few joggers in the path to wonder what I was doing crouching so low surveying the area. This was a tricky little one to find and Im fairly certain I almost touched a red back spider attempting to locate this. At one point I thought I had my fingers brush over something small and smooth - but it was only a dead beetle caught in a web. Just when my thighs were starting to burn with all the squatting and duck waddling I was doing, a simple change in sides had cache in hand and a signed log super fast. TFTC
After being snapped by a turtle, a few nearby finds completed to keep it easy and steady. Last blank spot on the log roll now filled. TFTC stereocacher1 for a fun log, this being my adjusted 2083th geofind.
Signed KRBR to save space.found hidden in hole. Lucky we had someone with us that had found before.
Find #: 3,622Companions: NoneMuggles: A few walkersWeather: Cold winter morningCache condition: GoodI decided to swing by here after parkrun nearbyish; I had searched for this unsuccessfully earlier in the year (after a long run, so was rather out of it!), and was keen to redeem myself. There were quite a few muggles walking by (including one small child who fell off his bike next to me and needed consoling until his father arrived), but once they left I was able to find the sneaky container - TNLNSL TFTC
Find #22 Great little stop by as I walked around the ovals. Blended in well and was quite a challenge to spot. A few muggles walking past and pleasant if cloudy weather. Signed log and returned - TFTC
A busy area at dusk but a quick find after I switched to the right side. Thanks stereocacher1.
Passing through the area today (unexpectedly) and managed to grab a few finds.Cheers
After finding #2 I walked around to this cache. I had a look around the Object at a few points, but started to get dizzy spells every time I crouched down (I had just finished a long run, so must have been under-hydrated) and reluctantly decided to abandon the search. I'll be back!
I had a couple of jobs to do out in the Hills this morning before a lunch gathering and noticing a couple of newish caches I thought why not? I even read a couple of logs - quick and easy they said.Well it was not quick.Couldn't really park too close and had to walk down. Which side? Well I chose one and as I walked it began to rain. Luckily I had a weather stick but when I got to GZ it was a complete pain in the neck so I put it away and just got wet. Not so good for upcoming lunch! With no success I walked around to the other side and began searching there. All this walking delayed me a lot. Finally I found it. Wouldn't have really mattered which side I was on. Should have been much easier to spot but well today it just wasn't.TFTC # 5848
#5938Needing 4 finds for today to obtain the Leap Day Souvenir, this was a quick find on my way to another event at the Ettamogah Pub. Thanks for the geo-fun.
#13290 13:59After 30 minutes of searching I decided to PAF. After confirming what I was looking for I gave it another try. Finally being on the street side I noticed something in the soil. It must fallen down and was covered under mulch. I replaced the cache as was suggested in the hint TFTC stereocacher1
#30 My first of the year - and what a doozy! I was looking straight at it and it took me forever to register Anyway, this was fun. TFTC!
I can't believe how long it took to find this cache, it is accessible from either the path or the road side, don't feel, look and heed the hint, thanks.
#10144 (1 of 2 today)Preparing for the family hordes to descend on us tomorrow, but I have a small window to snaffle a few finds. De iced to target two recent placements up Rouse Hill way.No problem finding either cache - well was doing my best to avoid the intermittent rain.###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION ###Parked close and walked to GZ under a very overcast sky.Once there it was pretty obvious which was the most likely place to look. Let me fingers do the walking and nothing. Then used my eyes. Yep it is right there!Made the grab, completed signing duties and replaced.SLTNLNTFTC
This ground has been a long time coming. A few options here, but located pretty quickly.
Out for a bit of caching with ilook4geo before the day got too hot. This was found after checking out what matched the hint. Of course we started on the wrong side of the structure first. Signed the log and replaced everything as found. Thanks for this cache placement go to stereocacher1.
The hint here made sense, so it was a quick find with goingplaces2, well at least it was once we worked out the right side. All was done to keep the paperwork in order and we continued looking for a few more caches before the expected heat hit. TFTC.
22 November 2023This is find number: 8973Streak Day: 2897Found Today with Snoopy1976, a quick and easy find but were on the wrong side. ThanksThanks to stereocacher1 for placing and maintaining this cache. TFTC
Streak Day #3786 - Over this way with Dave8153 for our cache of the day, quick find once we were on the right side. TFTC
Didnt take too long, but required a detour as I couldnt reach. Signed log, TFTC. Is the reserve entirely for cricket?
My GPS wanted me in the middle of the grass. I tried the fence to no avail. I expanded to the outside and made the obvious find some ten metres from where I was being led. TFTC.
{Ftf} found it eventually was about to give up then spotted it.Thanks for the cache
Similar to Blacktownman, really close to logging a DNF. Tough little sucker, but simple, thanks
