Finding this would have taken me a lot longer if the kind lady from the adjacent house had not come out and pointed me in the general direction of where it was hidden. Very well concealed! Signed log, TFTC

Great spot easy find less than two minutes TFTC

09-Apr-24
Searched high and low, behind the fences and under hedges, between fence and concrete pole, all to no avail. No evidence of the alleged 'hole', filled in with sand maybe, thus violating the 'no digging' rule?

So after a long bike ride and a long beach drive we decided to hit the town! We got muggled at this spot though. The lady of the house came out and asked if wed found it? We told her we had and then spent some time trying to convince her to start up the hobby which she then told us she was too frail to do that kind of thing anymore. TFTC

Well it seems the masses have now left, heading home, after a fantastic camping weekend held by this CO. Town is feeling quieter and I just had a few recently released caches still to do before I also left. First up was this one. I missed this one on my first check, and was contemplating my options while trying not to look to suspicious when out came the home owner. I was a bit worried she might be annoyed at me lingering - she came out to show me where to look - as she had seen it being placed. A friendly dog has also joined me so it ended up being a very friendly local experience after a busy full on weekend. Thank you watcache.

After attending the CITO event teamed up with Flowerydaze and Mr McGoo to find the hidden caches and the completed puzzles on what turned out to be a lovely sunny Sunday. All good here and TFTC watcache.

After the second event of the weekend seaganoid infoferret stardust86 and eatherlord headed of to retrieve the three new caches after arriving at the gz I had found and retrievedThanks watcache for the hideWhile Staying out in Waitawere for the to attend 4 events for Watcache we decide we should get a few caches. So The Seaganoid and I started the morning of the 4/11 bright and early at 5 30. In order to get all the caches on our list before the event we figured this would be an acceptable time to start. So the day began with a walk out into the North forest. Once we finished in the south forest we headed to the local 4 q=square for a coffee break and then got ready to start the second event of the weekend. After the event Eatherlord Clan, Capers, The Seaganoid and I got talking and we all wanted various caches in the Waitawere south forest. After a long walk we eventually got all the caches in the forest and down the beach and returned to the hall. After attending the third event 12 of us decided to get the Adlab. After getting 3 stages we headed back to the hall to get some much needed rest. After Some rest and finding a few more caches the following day and the fourth and final event and 3 days of caching I had Finished by walking 52 kms. Thanks to everyone involved this weekend.

We all jumped into two cars for a quick drive to Kahukura Avenue. Arrived at the Pedestrian Access, and fortunately, the GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Relatively quick find. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Nice easy find here, cheersIt's been a few years since I've had a multi-day, event-centred Geo-experience - the Wellington MEGA would have been it, so a long time between drinks (as if). The last few iterations locally haven't fitted in with our family plans so have been shelved but mrs c's trip North this week is timely and enables me to head to Waitarere Beach for watcache's Geo-Jamboree (after all, it was centred on the Scout Hall!) A fun weekend of events, nearby unfound caches, and a trickled release of new ones too, acquaintances renewed and established and some (mostly) good weather. Much kudos to the CO,and his family, for their efforts over this last wee while, recognizing that this doesn't happen without dedication and preparation. After 3 days of caching, around 35 kms walked and 30-something finds I left around midday after some {FTF} chasing, and then got my last D/T combo for a third trip around the grid, with Etherlord and Ethermiss for company.Awesome weekend, thanks to all involved.

Day two of the geocaching weekend, and with the mornings event done and dusted, matagouri and I decided to dust the bikes off and head into the North forest, picking up any caches we could find. After finishing the targeted caches in the forest, we eventually regained phone connection and discovered some newly published caches near by, so continued on to grab those as well. Our co ordinates were a little bit off here, but it was quickly spotted in the logical place. Thanks for setting it up and for the joint (FTF) for event attendees.

04-Nov-23
Joint {FTF} at 16.07So here we are at the 3rd of these Watcache Weekends. I've been able to attend both the previous iterations so had a rough idea of how this day might play out but of course you can never take anything for granted with this CO lol!By now many of the weekend attendees had cottoned on to what the CO appeared to be doing here, so there were more of us out and about waiting "just in case" a new cache got published on the hour. In fact, we were treated to 2 new caches this time, so had to choose which one the Yetimobile had to speed off to first! Another quick find here, and with the log swiftly signed we were off to look for the other one. Thanks you for this cache, and for the whole weekend Smile

Found with the gaggle from the local event. I thought we had 15 minutes to do these few caches but then realised it was half an hour so no rush. Later I realised I had the time wrong - we have an hour and a half to do these caches!! Yep, that me - screwing up the numbers all weekend! At least we got the location right. Many thanks for the {FTF}!
