Logs
Visited and signed @11:54am with catnap777. We do not qualify. Half way there, but the log is now signed for that time in our old age when we do qualify. Interestingly, the satelite map looked pretty outdated when we were here. It showed GZ being in a mown paddock. Nothing like what we discovered. Cache and log in excellent condition. [^]TFTChallenge BFMC, but its just a write note for now.
23 November 2024 11:48 signed with dalerious. We were umming and ahing about whether to sign this Challenge cache because it seems so far off into the future before we will qualify for it and claim the smiley. But, you just never know where in the world life is going to take you. Up until a few weeks ago I did not own a passport, now dalerious and I are going to Norfolk Island for Christmas, and we are planning a trip to New Zealand hopefully next year.So hell, why not go sign the damned thing and live life to the full before you drop off the perch and leave this mortal coil. Thanks BFMC for providing the insensitive; like if we needed it .
Dropped in with Featherdown to sign this challenge which was easily met. Many thanks [feathertop](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=feathertop) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCAG1GZ/91674 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.I have found required number of caches (5) in each of 41 regions (required number of regions: 10).
Found this challenge this morning whilst visiting the Geelong area with feathertop. featherdown](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=featherdown) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCAG1GZ/91674 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.I have found required number of caches (5) in each of 10 regions (required number of regions: 10).Finds in required regions are listed here:**

A long awaited weekend trip to Geelong saw us catching up with friends and targeting some of our long list of solved puzzles, amongst other caches as well.Surprised this challenge is only a D3 given the amount of work and travel needed to meet requirements, but I guess, for those people who get to travel and cache overseas a lot, its not as hard to achieve. If you had asked us 4 months ago whether we would even look at this challenge, the answer would have been no. It would have been in the D5 basket. We haven't even been able to get to WA or Tassie or NT yet. Then in July this year, Chook's son gave her the surprise gift of an airfare and escorted her through 5 countries in Europe. A lifetime experience for her that could never even dreamed about. Even then, especially when on a short timeframe and caching with a muggle, its not necessarily that easy to get 5 qualifying caches in an area, as some of the regions we passed through didn't even have enough caches we could pick up without a long hike, and labs don't count. Luckily Chook's son was tolerant of her picking up the odd cache here and there and to her surprise, when running the checker on this challenge, she had actually qualified. Thank you BFMC for placing this challenge cache. It was a huge buzz to actually get the green tick.[chooknchunk](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=chooknchunk) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCAG1GZ/91674 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.I have found required number of caches (5) in each of 11 regions (required number of regions: 10).Summarising the qualifying regions:Australia: VictoriaAustralia: South AustraliaAustralia: New South WalesAustralia: QueenslandAustralia: Australian Capital TerritorySweden: StockholmCroatia: Jadranska HrvatskaSlovenia: OsrednjeslovenskaAustria: TirolAustria: SalzburgGermany: Thringen
We missed out on the FTF yesterday but had a moment between raindrops this evening to make the find in this familiar end of town. We've enjoyed finding caches when travelling overseas and one day hope to get all 50 states in the US! A logical spot for the hide here and great coords.
