I don't have any Vaseline in my TOTT but Geocaching with a determined friend helped.
TFTC - we have driven past this man hundreds of times on way to bach and have seen him with and without his head but today I yelled STOP I need that geocache! So finally got it yay
Well, we found the camo but couldnt open it to confirm or track log bookand then it started raining so we decided to get back in the carnot sure if this is a find or DNF!!
In Matakana today for the busy market and a wander through Morrison and James pottery. After resolving our lack of pen issue with a quick stop at the dairy we crossed the road and mrs could see the cache from the picnic table. Pens work! TFTC!
I was torn this morning between doing the new trail or just doing park and grabs to fill in where I left off last time I was out this way. Decided the easier option along with Mondays tally would give me enough finds towards my souvenir. I also figured the trail could wait for drier times when I could bring my crew along for company. I parked up round the corner and walked back to this one. I've done one here before but always happy to get another. Another neatly done hide. You're at #1 in my Project-GC statistics for different cache owners found with 654 finds. That'll be higher again after I complete this weekends logging. Riser5 used to be number 1 but he's now #2 with 537. Thanks for your abundance of hides and the creatively you put into them PS *Every cache mata's*
After a break for lunch at Kowhai Park in Warkworth we headed out towards Omaha, with a stop in Matakana to add a couple more caches to our finds. Locating the container did not take long but getting it out from its camo took a bit of effort. TFTC
Quick dawdle over while senior pumps some iron. A good reminder of how you really cant have a damn bit of self consciousness to cache. Good lesson in life really.
Heading out to Omaha with KC to do some caching so we stopped off here. Found what we were looking for but it was a bit tricky to get to where we needed to be to sign the log. Managed it in the end and not sure how many caches we are up to at this spot. TFTC
**#21,457**No issues here, quick find after we used the morning ablutions nearby, always find it easier to look when not busting...
And it doesn't Mata in Matamata if you find the cache or not? The Memorial looked good today.TFTC
Had to kill some time and used it to finally locate this cache on a quiet night. Quick and easy
We finally managed to stop at this cache when Matakana was quiet - doesn't happen too often these days!Quick find here. The cache wasn't quite where we thought it should be, so once we'd signed log we put it back where made most sense.
While finding a new cache nearby we walked over to check on this hide and make sure it is all in order (which it is). We put this hide together for G_2 but haven't actually logged it as a find yet -bit rude when we were the ones putting it in place but plenty of time has passed and it has had a number of finds now, so we signed the log while checking it all out. Thanks for the opportunity to organise this hide G_2.
it is so-oooopp obvious but still pretty sneaky .. great cache. TFTC and putting so much effort into maintaining it.
Out on a ladies caching day with Net and SN we drove through a very busy Matakana as the local Saturday market was on. We overshot this one, but the cache did mata to us so we made a u- turn so that Net could jump out of the car to find the cache. A quick find here and we headed on up north to find some more caches and adventures. Tftc
Knowing the cache owner definitely did mata for this one... A typically sneaky but totally obvious (once you know) hide! Thanks so much for the cache, great locale and great camo
Finding this cache did Mata to us as we found the previous cache here a while back and we wanted to reclaim our smiley. There were a lot of people around today and not a lot of places to park but we managed to find a spot nearby. We quickly spotted the cache, or at least we thought we did and had to look closer to confirm we were correct, but thankfully we were. There were a lot of people walking past but we managed to hide our actions and soon had the log signed and the cache returned to where we found it.Very nice placement and camo as always, thanks G-2
After a great lunch at the Rusty Pelican wandered over to find this! Greta hide! Had to get a bit ingenious to get it open but brilliant!!
Very funny experience here...When Gorby and I approached gz there was a problem!A group of electricians were approaching the pole in question and were about to turn off the power due to some works nearby !Had to explain what we were up to....and they allowed us to quickly find it and sign it before they resumed their work here!
( ) Out and about for a very long day of caching with the super nanny. As she said, we were showing the workmen the cache and explaining geocaching until one dude came over and politely told us to hurry up. I think the workmen would rather keep on talking with us as a reprieve from their work. Thanks for the hide G. Supernanny reckoned the nearby statue was headless at one point, so we're going to have a look at that.
Well it Matad to me that I come and get this cache. I was kind of in the area getting ftf on some caches in Warkworth and it was a bit of a no brainer to continue on to this one. I remember the previous cache that was here so a nice quick find. And as the sun had come out it was time for an icecream before heading home.
Having a lovely time logging caches in matakana, and this is a lovely way of camouflaging it too!
very cool craft, second person to find it, a day in Omaha with boiling hot weather
