Find# 12025Nice quick find.It is lucky that this cache is still here after 2m of floodwater has been through this site.TFTC Angus88 12 September 2024
Having a wild windy winter sojourn in L'ton for 3 nights. And of course being intrpid cachers, we are grabbing and logging as we go. Angus gets a guernsey for finds # 1 & 2 this morning. Thanks for a couple of quickies.
Popped in for a pint after walking to Lobster Falls. This one had been on my to do list for a while as we love the Carrick Inn when we visit Tas. Try the pork salad.... TFTC.
Awe are currently staying in Bishopsbourne and on the hunt for caches to begin our march to our next major milestone before we leave Tasmania. We headed to Hadspen to find a few caches and enjoy a nice country drive. This was a very tricky extraction and I needed a tool from the car to assist me. Have replaced it to make it easier for next cacher but still in same spot just not jammed in. TFTC
#20774 - 2:23:07 PM; In Tasmania for a couple of weeks to visit family and friends and after dropping the geohoney off for lunch with her family, I set off for a spot of caching. The major focus was a large sequential adventure lab, but I made sure to grab some caches as I made my way around on a loop from the Casino to Hadspen, Hagley, Westbury, Carrick and Longford managing eight from eight, including another six in the 'Angus visits....' series. All were located without too much trouble, log signed and replaced as found, including this one. It took a bit of effort to extract the cache from its hide and after signing the log, I was joined by a couple of lapsed cachers who were picknicking nearby. Introduced them to adventure labs, so maybe that will rekindle their interest. TFTC Angus88
Just a quick grab the magnetic container was hard to pull-out of its hiding spot. Thanks For The Cache INFORMATIONSearch (EST)/SL Time:30S/12:00TODAY FINDS/DNF:1/0Finder Note: All SYSTEMS GO ON THIS CACHE! On a maintenance trip with my Geo Westies it was found that all is well with Angus at Carrick.
We are having a 2 week holiday in Tasmania, having a great time, loving the trees in their autumn tones, Im glad there was a step up here. TFTC
Hello Angus88 thank you for the cacheThis afternoon I came up this way to find some caches this one of yours was one of them. This was a quick find.Found on Friday, 10 May 2024 at 1542**TFTC**
Something cool to do at night with some friends. Accurate coordinates made this one heaps easier (especially in the pitch black dark!)
Thanks for the cache Angus88.Another lovely picnic area that you have highlighted here.A nice quick find at GZ.
A quick find despite the presence of a vehicle even though there were no muggles in sight.A very hot day and a swim here was tempting until we looked at the water and decided NO!!Thanks for another in this extensive series Angus88. Think we parked next to you recently at the Don Reserve. Was a camper with some great dog art on the back window.
Heading home after our trip away for the winter. Stopped nearby last night so we could grab a few around this area.Heading back to Devonport after picking up son from Airport. An easy enough find made at GZ.Thanks for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
TFTC. Cache and contents are in excellent condition. Now wea are off to the Raspberry farm for lunch.
Great spot next to the Liffey- kids needed the clue as it was a lot higher than we expected! Thank you again for a great hide
Today we further explored our back yard and finding caches along the way and this was one of them.We found a variety of hides with varying degrees of difficulty.Enjoyed this area, cache and contents were in good condition, this took some time time but got there in the end. Many thanks to the CO's for your cache placement.
Out for a leisurely country drive, another well hidden away cache in this most excellent series.. thanks..!!
On my way to Ulverstone to transact some business I decided to travel the old highway, aka, The Meander Valley Road so that I could target this cache. A quick find was made of a cache in good condition.
A lovely little spot down by the river, a pleasant place to pull up and have a picnic Or to find a Geocache... the latter was today's choice. It was found after a wee search of the right level Went over to the shelter to sit myself down and sign the log at 08:05 on Wednesday the 22nd of November 2023.The log scroll is dry and the cache is in A1 condition. Angus had camped at some nice places. Cache was found after a short search. All is good here.TFTC
Found it, but as 2 y's tassies also mentioned there was a Large Winnebago parked right there and a couple of muggles around so I sighted it but couldnt retrieve it to write in the log.happy to message Angus if description needed to confiem that I found it.
I havent been to the spot before. A nice little spot. Thanks for this geocache.
With a free morning, we had the opportunity to head to Launceston to look for caches that have been published since our last visit. The weather was fine and warm but it was the heaviest traffic we have seen on the highway for quite some time. So it had to be a patient drive. We were fortunate that we found the eight caches within two hours and were able to get back home in the early afternoon. We had to be careful at this location as there was a large campervan parked right next to GZ. Mr y'stassie was delegated to look for this cache. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Angus88 for the cache and for the series.
A trip to Devonport with Goose as we both had a day off. I certainly needed a break as I hadnt really had a day away just caching for a little while. Great day, with the odd shower, but I managed to find quite a few caches as well as get two FTF's which is unusual for me to get even one. The highlight of the day would probably be the FTF on the Hancock clan's cache on the midlands highway. A very cool cache. Thanks for the cacheThis turned out to be a bouns *FTF* as we had the FTF on the midlands in site, but when we saw this was still available, a quick detour was organised.
