Came here to complete an AL stage and nice to see there was a cache here too. TFTC, easy find once I knew where I should look.
Up at Launceston again to bring a mate up to collect his car, i decided to go Caching for the rest of the day b4 booking in, in a popular Cabin Park in Legana.I was on a Blue Face Eradication Mission, turning DNF's into 'Found It's' and this one was next. Parked as close as i could across the road, then wandered over to make a quick find. Took the cache away from GZ to sign the log at 12:51 on TGIF 1 November 2024.TFTC Angus88
Find# 12052Nice quick find.Angus sure gets around! We are on a two-week driving g tour of Tassie. We're based in the Sutherland Shire in Sydney NSW.TFTC Angus88
L'ton expedition continues, whilst dodging the wild weather, winds and wain. Grabbed this one on our way out of town to progress a 10 stage AdLab. Stood back and thought about this one which led to a quick dry find. Thanks Angus88.
Today we headed into Launceston to collect our home owners from the airport. We had to do a couple of jobs on the way in but still time for a couple of caches before their plane landed. This was a super quick drive by in the obvious spot but still nicely tucked away. TFTC Angus
Thanks Angus88 for placing Angus visits Youngtown. Swampy and I came back to plunder more of the NW coast over a long weekend. This is day 4, we are heading back to Hobart today, unfortunately alone as Swampy left yesterday. This run has us finding both GC and GCA caches. So many caches, so little time. This is my GC find #1941 and was found on 19/8/2024 at 11:22
All I maintenance trip with my Geo Westies, this one has now been replaced and is back in action in Youngtown.
[Tuesday 7 May 2024 , 12:25]Up north again for a Launnie 3-Dayer, this was my 1st choice for the day... off to great start i am Checked every spot imaginable that would hold a magnetic, the small green sign, inc. inside of metal tubing / the bus stop / the gate hinges / the nearby fence posts and no nano or anything bigger was located. Oh well, next time maybe. I will keep an eye on future logs to see if it was my cache blindness ha ha.TFT challenge anyways Angus88.Nice mansion and grounds i did notice
A day in Launceston for a work related funeral. And with an hour to spare I thought I should grab a cache. As it turned out the finds were very quick and I managed to find 5 in the time I had. Perfect. Tftc.
Last cache for the day as we head out to the camp area at Evandale.Mr Beetle waited in the van here as he was in a bus zone and had to be prepared to leave if necessary. But this was such a quick find that that wasn't necessary.Collected a few cobwebs with this container. Thanks Angus88.
I had to take a neighbour to the doctor for removal of stitches to a damaged finger so instead of waiting in the carpark I took the opportunity to look for this cache. It has been a very long time since I visited Franklin House so must make the effort to do another visit. Thank you for this cache which enabled me to gain further knowledge of the history of the area.
Out and about exploring the area when I stopped to have a look at this beautiful old home. Life would have been so very different back in the 1800s when this was built. A quick find while learning about this house.TFTC Angus88Keep smiling
Thanks Angus88, had to br extremely careful of muggles because there was a market at franklin house. The stamp didn't work well again but the cache is in good condition, TFTC
What a lovely place to come and visit on a hot day. Thank you for placing this geocache in this place.
With a free morning, we had the opportunity to head to Launceston to look for caches that have been published since our last visit. The weather was fine and warm but it was the heaviest traffic we have seen on the highway for quite some time. So it had to be a patient drive. We were fortunate that we found the eight caches within two hours and were able to get back home in the early afternoon.Parking was a little limited near this cache. So Mr y'stassie dropped Mrs y'stassie a short distance away. As she approached GZ, GeoMaggie2 approached as well. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. We wondered if the large gates were closed after opening hours as this would limit access to the cache. Thanks Angus88 for the cache and the ever expanding series.
Just finished dinner and saw this one published. Lucky it was hubby's turn to put the kids to bed, and mine on dishes. So I rushed to get them done and ran out the door. Arriving at GZ I immediately found the container, but my fat fingers wouldnt reach it. Little bit of a fumble and I had this in hand, only to find a signed log.....but wait they are from July. Quick message to CO and it was an accidental old log sheet. With CO confirmation I claim FTF on a fresh log page on this one. Franklin house is a beautiful cottage that I've driven past several times and had no idea it was here. Will be back another day to go inside with the family. TFTC Angus
