Far out brussell sprout, it was H-O-T today. I had intended to grab all of these caches, but the heat, the mozzies, and the general lack of preplanning got the better of me. I shall return for the rest! Thanks for this, not so tiny, not hard to find, cool cache. Operation tick Fang off is one step closer to being complete.
Was disappointed to find this one open and ajar. Please ensure the container is locked down.Otherwise all in good condition.
Fangsoki rang me this morning and asked me to join him while he did cache maintenance of his caches in Fitzgibbon Bushland after a recent bushfire in the area. I jumped at the chance of checking out the hides in there. How hard could this be after finding the Worst Hidden Cache? Well it turned out to be a pretty tame walk to it as we took a different route to that which Fangsoki had used to place the cache. I even kept my feet dry (well relatively dry as they were still wet from "The Swamp") and, again. the cache was evident as we approached. We found the cache had not been closed previously but the contents were dry.Cache replaced as intended and we headed back to the car. Thanks Fangsoki for an adventurous day.
After a DNF in the vicinity and with dusk approaching, I took my torch to play it safe and found this cache. All is well with the log and no wet shoes! Day 76 of my streak! TFTC
After finding another cache nearby, I walked to this one, taking the suggested route. Luckily it was all very dry but I did look out for snakes, not seeing any thank goodness. A quick find at gz, logbook signed and replaced as found. All good here and I found a quicker way out in the dry conditions. Tftc
Not long after heavy rain and ended up with very wet feet! Poor shoes will need a wash. Signed log. TFTC
This was a swamp the last time I stopped here. Today it was just a simple ride by (Well maybe - with the right bike)Are you up to the challenge?
Found with Pprime`. A shorter swamp run to the worst one but still a bit of effort required for those few metres
Accio 15:56:42T4mmmy and I have been wanting to nab this one since November last year ... but hot, humid and rainy weather mixed with various injuries hobbled T4mmmy and I somewhat. And with recent rains and rain looming today wasn't looking much better but enough is enough - time to take a look. Donned my Gum boots and having just conquered the fearsome 'Worst' - this one was a major letdown, almost no trace of the overlaying marsh - just the swamp and river to contend with. Trundled in from the road at a bit of an angle to avoid what looked like head high swamp ... and it wasn't too long at all before we emerged onto an island of some sort (potentially on the back of a submerged continental-tortoise). Cache was thus quikcly located and names etched in. Somehow got turned around a mite and ended up in the head high swamp part - for one half-step - before correcting, backtracking a bit and finding fresh cobwebs to swallow before emrging into the light drizzle and concrete. Thanks Fangsoki for entertaining me at this location. *{Overall find #12514}*
Weve been a tad slack as of late so I thought it was time to grab a few caches for us after work.Ive eyed off this bunch since they were published and seeing that I finished earlier than expecting I thought Id head on over to investigate.I hit the trails in search of these caches but with the sun beating down on me I wanted to get in and out quickly to avoid getting roasted.I had no issue locating the hide here as the hint was pretty straight forward and caches of this type arent hard to miss. Thanks for bringing me here.#4188 - TFTC
Family Friday Fun Day.Much easier than the worst Log signed and cache replaced. Should have remembered the repellant. TFTC
we saw a snake ... woohoo he was dark green / brown colourtook off at speed not much water here todaymight have to come back after the rains
Fangsoki I found your cache The Second Worst Hidden Cache in Brisbane on 27/11/2023, 4:15pm. This is my find 6251 and find # 21 today. Not too bad accessing from the road. Remember the insect repellent. A quick and easy find at GZ. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Wed just popped in for a bit to eat when GG1 told me to drop everything & to Uber her not far down the road to find a cache. This being the third . Countem 1, 2, 3. In a list of four on the just released we were on FIRE , we were still in the box seat to grab this trifecta and yet another Joint {FTF}.Unfortunately of the three, this was my least favourite and that was purely due to the kamikaze stealth mozzies that were bombarding us in a continuous coordinated attack from the time we left the car until we had them sucked out of the car as we sped away from GZ 15 minutes later! Thanks Fangsoki for the reminder to grab more Bushmsns tomorrow!
{*FTF*} with Muggle65 today. After completing the nearby new cache it was a no-brainer that we would visit this one. The bloody mosquitoes were criminal! Huge, hungry and in plaque proportions. M65 was madly trying to keep them off me while l hastily signed the logbook. Definitely need a good steak to replace the iron l donated to the little blood suckers. Thank you for the fun (I think)
12/11/2023 Find #6717Fangsoki invited me out for a day up north for. Spot of possible cache maintenance, however we couldnt head up there too early so he asked me if I would like to come here and test out his new caches pre-publishing. Sure, why not?!This was the final of the three in here today and I felt fairly certain already that a number of caches would claim this mantle well before this one. We made our way in and had no trouble with damp ground around us. And moments later my eyes fell on the prize. Log signed, it was time to wander the rest of our circuit back to the car, where we then decided to slip heading north, and head for a bite of lunch instead. Thanks for the cache Fangsoki.
