A nice easy find. Glad I didnt need to scramble around on the rocks too much. I found your D2.5/T2.5 Regular Traditional called The Big Long Pipe on 23 Nov 2024. It was find #19284 for me. Thank you marvin277 for placing this cache for our enjoyment in the wonderful state of South Australia.
It is getting close to dark but there was just enough light. TFTC a good find
A few lizards, an active beehive,a massive roo who didn't want to be friends with me and yes, one great big long pipe and an appropriate hide. When I approached, I thought "oh noooo", but found it, recorded and a nice walk back to the car! Stick to the walking trails!
An engineering masterpiece here, love the history of this feature.A long pipe deserves a long cache and a long log. Great theme. FP4U
Out with sir_spectre grabbing a few more caches in the area. One day I will only have smilies Thanks
found with mogni. This was supposed to be a quick stop and grab. Stopped the 4x4 couldn't walk through to the cache fences, Stopped the 4x4 couldn't walk through to the cache fences again, read the cache listing, drove to recommended parking ( co ords on the cache page would have been easier ), strolled to the cache, found a big long pipe ( nice theming there ), quick find.
Found during a foray in the southern suburbs, concentrating on the areas around Morphett Vale, Reynella and Flagstaff Hill. Thanks for the cache marvin277!
I have heard of this tunnel from SA Water people. They drive through the tunnel once a year. The annual inspection is carried out from land cruiser that just fit. One of Adelaide's amazing locations. Great cache too.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Tuesday trekking turned in to a Wednesday Wander, for the dynamic duo.Ttrogg picked the Rat up from the Rat's nest.We then headed for the hills and beyond. After parking the geo mobile, we took a short stroll to GZ.The cache was in the first place we looked. Tftc
After picking up the Rat from her nest it was a Wednesday Wander in a southerly direction to see what we could find. Caches found were mainly traditionals with a few multis thrown in for a bit of variety.Had read the description and therefore fund the best way in to GZ. Once there it was a quick find, thanks very much for the hint. Thanks to marvin277 for placing this cache on our playing field.Cache #14190 for me.This log composed and published using GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife).****SAs Leap Year Event GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024. Was surprised to see the FTF still available on this one as we pulled up, as we were walking in the FTFers were one step ahead of us, this could have been one evil hide but the cache was found and is all good hereToday with an event in the morning and another in the evening in the southern suburbs, Courtneyrose_ and I decided to head south for the day finding caches around the area and making the most of the nice weather on offer. Thanks for the cache
After an early morning event I joined Team Waldron to find a few caches before heading home. After starting off at the wrong location, read the cache page and headed to one of the recommended starting spots. After a short walk the cache was soon spotted. Thanks for the cache marvin277.
Came here with JJ52 after the early morning event. We hadn't read the cache notes so were in the wrong spot.Once we changed locations a short walk was followed by a quick find.TFTC
