Quick find with bboog after going to the beach. The hint pointed us the right direction.
This was so hard but we just had to think less- Posting geocaching series on @sheribubble (IG)
What a fun find!! It took some doing, but what a rush when you find it! This was definitely a first, didn't think this was legal
Finally found it after nearly giving up, just where it should be (thanks for the hint). Signed with byo pen. Cheers!
22 August 2024 9:47pmAnother late night cache run bringing me to Brighton, I can't wait for this streak to be over, haha. With so many Kms added to my poor car, I really wish I did this earlier, but regardless here I am on a nice clear night. I was a bit confused for a while but spotted what was needed after a late night jogger had gone past.
After having found the closest cache by the same CO I walked over to this one. I thought I might be in trouble after having a once over and reading some logs. Fortunately I interpreted the hint correctly and with the aid of a photo had a better idea of what I was looking for and exactly where I should be looking. I spied a piece of plastic shortly thereafter and giving it a tug, was rewarded with the cache. A sneaky hide indeed.
Today we found Pseudo Side -Tracked Sand Tunnel on our travels. What a cool feature here. Thanks for highlighting it!.so many caches, not enough time! Thanks jupiterpearl for being part of our geocaching fun.
Found on a beautiful day on the beach. I looked around for a little trying to interpret the hint and eventually found with a little luck. TFTC
I was in the area to meet up with LetThemEatCache, so I decided to grab a few caches while I was here.I headed across after dark and began the search. I fluked this one and found it much quicker than expected. A tricky hide!A big thanks goes to jupiterpearl for taking the time to add Pseudo Side -Tracked Sand Tunnel to the geocaching map for us all to find and enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------Are you ready for Victorias next big event?Join us for Victorias first ever *Block Party* to celebrate 25 years of geocaching.**When:** March 22 - 23, 2025**Where:** Hume Global Learning Centre, SunburyLog your will attend at [**GCAP417: The Sunbury Event** ](https://coord.info/GCAP417) Visit our [**Block Party website** ](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/the-sunbury-event) for more details on the exciting lineup of events and activities as they are released!
Found with LittleBoss2 on our trip to Melbourne to see Missy Higgins. This is sneaky, needed the right angle, thanks Jupiter pearl
Day trip to Melbourne with my fav Bogonghazy. Ticking off a few caches for the day before going to see Missy Higgins. Thanks jupiterpearl for placing the geocache. Very clever hide
OK, its not quite a Sidetracked cache, but it probably could be. The location was the most important thing here, and well worth the walk from the nearby car park. The cache was tricky to find even with four pars of eyes searching. Eventually Melissa from Laidlaym&m made the find in exactly the the place the hint alluded to. Its great to find another JupiterPearl cache.
Great location. Took a little while to find but very clever hide an accurate co-ords.Thanks for the fun
I found this cache today on my Mega Walk #19 - a 23,000 step walk firstly around Hampton and Brighton, then around St Kilda East and finally South Melbourne. I really enjoyed this spot and after an initial hunt, the clue made sense, which was exactly where I was being pointed anyway. That didn't stop me from completely botching the search and looking everywhere but the actual spot in between the frequent walkers. Finally, I stepped back and finally had the cache in hand. For some reason, there was a lot of sand in the cache. Must have come in from the beach. Thanks from D B-A
Found by caughtatwork on 28/04/2024 at 3:00:00 PMA quick find at a nice location to geocache.Took nothing, left nothing. Thanks for placing this geocache here for us to find today, for without those who like to hide geocaches, there would be nothing around for those who like to find geocaches.*Overall Experience: 3*GAFF1
Rated: for Overall Experience
Found after expanding my search, only to realise I lost my pen. I've attached a photo log. I really like the mural. TFTC
Another beautiful find along the beachfront. After a couple pauses to allow Muggles to pass, I saw the cache hidden in its little hidey hole and the log was signed a moment later. TFTC!
I think I am missing something here - missing finding the cache. Too many muggles, even clue didn't help
A few muggles walking by GZ but fortunately a quick find. Log signed and replaced as found - hopefully as intended. Thanks to jupiterpearl for the cache.
On our long journey from Germany to Australia / Tasmania / New Zealand / Dubai of a total of 3.5 months, we also drove along the Great Ocean Road and collected a few caches. Our last destination was Melbourne. This one was found quickly. TFTC
Nice day for a walk Got to this one followed the hint & we were on to it straight away
A lovely spot to sit and watch the waves, after beachcombing. Was then scared half to death when a furry mouse critter ran towards me Glad I found this one without too much hassle! TFTC
TFTC! 4 February 2024 8:05:21pm 7239 thanks to jupiterpearl for the cache! Took 2 goes but made the find this evening. No one was looking out way as they were enjoying the beach. Really inventive cache and loved the hide! Decided for a walking in the water too cool off as it was so nice at dusk but ended up taking a couple of steps extra and ended up a little more wet than expected with so embraced it and enjoyed the water more! So what! It was so warm! Even the wet walk back to the car it was warm!
The clue helps! Log not in great condition but still usable. TFTC - love the artwork!
This is something that we would have never noticed without the cache. Thank you for using this cache to show us what we would have otherwise have missed.
On Monday I am required in Melbourne for work, and I figure, that's an ideal opportunity to fly down early and spend the weekend geocaching and enjoying the suburbs. Day two, Sunday today and after a lazy start to the day, I'm off to tackle some LGAs to the South-East by foot and train.First up, it's the train ride down to Brighton Beach. Yesterday had had perfect weather - I did >17,000 steps under clear skies, but hardly broke a sweat. Today as I sat on the train, I noticed very intermittent showers on the rain radar among much the same forecast. I hoped I'd somehow miss the few spots of water.Arriving at the station, I quickly worked out which way to go, and first saw this icon right across the road. Well, that looks interesting and is conveniently placed! On my way though, one of the showers suddenly arrived. And a bit of rain is fine, but it also came with a howling wind and a temperature drop of a few degrees. Rough for the guy in just a T-shirt. In the middle of the carpark, I sought cover behind a red electrical box and waited for the wet to pass.Just a couple minutes later, I was back on the move, dry, and crossed the road. I took the low road and wound up at the right place. A grey sky meant basically nobody else around. So, I checked out the area and read the history before focussing on finding the geocache. It took but a moment and looking just at the right spot to see it tucked away. Inside in good condition and I was amused at the choice of log here - not seen that before! Signed at 13:15, replaced as found. Now, off on a windy walk to the south. Thanks for this geocache, jupiterpearl
A day out with Geoturtle37 and pwala, caching the burbs.A nicely hidden cache with a cleverly-themed logbook. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, jupiterpearl ~~
Out to caching in this area with OHC and GT37, I found the history here very interesting! jupiterpearl, thank you so much for placing it for everyone to enjoy and highlighting this area.
In between dodging muggle joggers & cyclists, we squeezed in another cache, albeit pretty damp after the big rains here. Thanks JupiterPearl, will send you a pic. Eloise at the Plaza
The BOM had forecast a mega rain event in the afternoon, so we were out bright and early. This was the first cache for the day. We were mystified, there did not seem to be a hiding place in sight. We used the hint, read former logs, went from above to below, with no success. I had a rethink and another look and there it was. This is such a good idea for a cache, I love the log, it fits in with the theme.
Happy New Year Jupiterpearl!Today I was up bright and early to go to the nearby geocaching event and stopped here on the way. It is always lovely walking along the beach and today it was splendid - I almost wanted to skip the event and go paddle boarding or for a swim! Bumped into 3 other cachers here - none of them knew each other and each were trying to make the find, hahaha! Well I joined in and we soon were on our way to the event. Thanks for pointing out the nice themed mosaic.
09:27I caught the train to celebrate LetThemEatCache's Cacheversary.n0w0rries met me at the station and we enjoyed our scenic walk by the beachside paths.Obviously, there were caches to find. This was the second, found by n0w0rries after I pointed out the hint. Thanks, jupiterpearl.#8160
Found after attending a nearby event. Not surprisingly the beach was very popular on this stunning morning. I was here with gmj3191 and it was fun sharing the find with other cachers. We enjoyed riding our bikes along the designated bike path and the history and mural made it special too. Thankyou for this excellent cache.
Oh so very cute - the log paper in this sandy environment made me smile! Fab for location, description, art, cache. Definite fave thanks so much for your cache jupiterpearlregardskbucky
I was heading over to LetThemEatCache's 5th geoversary event this morning and managed to wake up bright and early to find a few caches on the way there and this was one of them.We met 2 other groups when we arrived here and after a short search I soon had the cache in hand. Thanks jupiterpearl for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.
*Found on the 6 Jan 2024 @ 10:27am.**Cache find # 15456.* After the nearby event, Mark and I went for a stroll to a couple of caches in this area, we had walked posed this one before realising, then continued to the bathing box before coming back to this one.We arrived to find a muggle closeby with a bike against the wall but we started to inspect the area anyway, eventually the muggle moved on which was good thing as they were covering GZ, not that we knew that at the time.It took a moment before the hint was realised with pointed us in the right direction and the unusual cache and log sheet was then found.**Thanks to jupiterpearl for keeping the game going by placing this cache.**
I've headed down to this area on the train for an event that is nearby. Exiting the station, I was literally going to walk past this one. After reading the interesting cache page and the plaque on the brickwork, I commenced my search and spotted an unusual item for the locale. Sure enough, it what I was looking for. While signing the log, I thought it was a bit rough. Thanks jupiterpearl for placing this Traditional Cache to enhance the game board and add to our enjoyment.
Find 3209Out on the bike in this hot weather.Plenty of beachgoers. Scanned the area and looked in some usual places without luck.Spent a good 10 mins here and decided it must be in this rough area.Moving stuff around something caught my eye and just loved the log sheet. All signed and back as found. Thanks jupiterpearl.I didn't go to the event and seems like a lot found this today but earlier than me.
**06/01/2024, 10:26:00****Find #5644****Traditional Find #3371**I headed up to this part of Melbourne, a part I seldom go to, for an event and to find a few caches. I made a point of getting an early start so as to beat the muggles that this weather would bring out. The exact location of this cache took a while to work out even with the hint but we got there in the end and with me providing a human screen, Steve made the find. **Thank-you to jupiterpearl for placing this geocache**
Found by Mary and David at 10:50. Parked by the station. So many muggles about, walking, riding eBikes and scooters, jogging, running and walking the dogs. What a fascinating piece of hitory. A FP for your research and information. Took a while with our elderly eyes, and a nudge from another cacher. Our thanks to jupiterpearl.
Our second find on the way to the LTEC event. As I stood guard, nirgalagrin retrieved the nicely themed geocache.I remember stopping here not so long ago and taking some photos.Thank you for placing this cache and highlighting this little known slice of history jupiterpearl.
I was in the area for a geocaching event. It wasnt unexpected that other cachers arrived at GZ at the same time. It wasnt long before Spiffy- had the cache in hand. Thanks jupiterpearl for the cache and the themed log.
I had read about this tunnel and the nearby pier some time ago, and had once checked it out, before the painted mural was there. There was actually an electric tram route along here that ran from St Kilda station to Brighton Beach station. It actually ran along my road in it's travels before reaching St Kilda street and then on to Beach Road. After the nearby caching event, I headed here on the way back to my car in the train carpark. After a bit of help, the cache was found, logged and returned. Thanks to JupiterPearl for the cache and a slice of history.
Three weeks late in logging. Back to my old habits, darn it. Too much distraction in my own life. I've logged the other one along the trail nearby and we found them both on the same day. Well actually, I found the not quite a bathing box, but he found this one. I wanted the tunnel to be real and began walking into it only to find concrete in the way. My mate observed this and called me a ****head or an idiot or something like that and then he found the cache and I sat down to log it and replaced it in a break in muggle traffic. Thanks very much jupiterpearl.
Find # 8,466 for me on 24 Dec 2023 at 2:29 pm. Having gained a brief temporary reprieve from preparations for tomorrow's extravaganza, and noting the resurrection of this one recently, I sneaked down here to try and turn last time's frown upside down. That I was able to do, and signed one of the more unusual log books I've seen. All is in good order here. It was a nice sunny day albeit a bit windy and I was expecting much more action down here than there was. Perhaps the time of the year and the modest wind was enough to slow things down, but it sure made the parking easy. Thanks for highlighting this interesting spot which had a fantastic approach taken to reservation of the local history, well worth seeing. A fav point from me. Several others have already signed the log surprisingly, but not logged online yet, so I was down the list a bit. Thanks jupiterpearl, for giving back to the game.*Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
We came out early this morning to look at this area for a potential spot to hold an event. Lovely views, close to public transport, food, water, toilets, a pub (as such), AND several quality caches in the area including this one. WINNING!Whilst geohubby checked out the interesting back story to the tunnel and the artistic mural, I made the find. Not straight away, mind you, but find it I did. (And yes, due to the late log next finder Geoff spied our names on the log before I could write my log online. Christmas/life etc gets in the way sometimes!).Thanks jupiterpearl for the accurate coords and placing this cache for our geo-enjoyment. Favourite from me for showing us this hidden piece of history. Cache on *Throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Explore. Dream. Discover.* **Mark Twain**
New cache in play. Reconstruct and place as found -well hidden. Watch for muggles !
Well that didnt last too long. Was possibly exposed ? Cache disappeared. Will replace when able.
Out and about with My good caching mate Omegaman1971, there are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles. This is one of the caches found today. A nice piece of history, you could have made this a really side tracked cache. This is a truely evil hide. Thanks jupiterpearl for the cache.
