Wow... how has it been a week since WAGB24 already.We hope you had as much fun in Augusta as we did and are looking forward to another great event in Mandurah next year.If you picked up any trackables at the hall over the weekend please make sure you add them to your inventory and keep them moving.Some people asked about merch over the weekend and we have decided to reopen the range of shirts, hats and jackets for orders. Of course Mary & David were there. So glad we attended. After 2016, 17 and 18, this is our 4th WAGB. Drove from Melbourne and booked motels and cabins, as we don't have a caravan. Apart from the weather, We loved all the caches and reached a milestone 51,000 cache finds. Qualified for all the challenges and made a start on the Holland Track With advice from pood, M is addicted to the local orchids and other wildflowers. Loved all the caches, and give special thanks to pood for their enormous efforts to place so many caches for the WAGB attendees. Many FPs dispensed. Thankyou all for your friendship and enthusiasm. We hope to return. Our thanks to West Oz Geocaching.

Thank you for the event and for a fantastic WAGB long weekend West Oz Geocaching!After teaming up with ullyssia and Photo-Play to look for the Letterbox series and East Augusta caches in the morning, we went back to town to find a few more in the area - some new ones and a few that we missed when we came over last June. A great day for caching!

Day 3 of the trip south to WAGB with the family. Today it was caches in and around Augusta before and after the main WAGB event.This is my 10th WAGB. Nice to see such a good turnout for this event and to meet some new caching teams.Thanks to the committee for organising another great event.

Day #9. My last minute WAGB adventure continues today and its the big one! My first WAGB! Looking forward to the days adventures. Its been a blast so far.Thank you to everyone who has put this great adventure together. So much work goes on behind the scenes to pull an event like this together so thank you for all of the effort over the past months and year to get to today.Ive already had such a great time and met so many friendly WA folk that the trip is already well worth it. Down in the amazing South West region enjoying all thats on offer. Managed to spend 4 days in Busselton and 4 days in Augusta. WAGB is always a holiday in my years planning and this was no different. Looking forward to seeing all the teams make it down to WAGB this year in Augusta as well as finding all the amazing Caches that have been placed by the locals for all to find. Thanks to all the volunteers for your time setting this great weekend for all to enjoy.

TB Drop

A busy day grabbing caches on the outskirts of Augusta but made a quick visit to WAGB HQ to record our visit.

Thanks for organising everything, was good to see a few familiar faces. Signed log and bought a couple raffle tickets for tonight. See you there.

Today is day two of WAGB 2024 and we are looking forward to a big day. Given our apartment is near the Bakery we started the day with a yummy breakfast from the Bakery and picked up a nearby cache before heading to the Community Hall for the first event. After collecting another near by cache we set off with Pommie Parkin 2 to team up and geocache together out at the Letter box series down Scott River Road . These Letter Box series were a very nice variety of interesting hides , most were straight forward however there were a few that you needed waders to get to them , in Liu of no waders it was just a case of jumping in and getting wet our feet wet. However this all added to the fun of the morning . So did having to quickly get out of the way for a tractor carrying rather large hay bails . Once all the Letter boxes were found we calculated the bonus and soon headed in that direction. Definitely giving a favourite for the series . We bid the Pommie Parkins farewell and we set off back into Augusta on our own and collected a few more traditionals along the way before hitting the Skippy Rock Road series and then clearing up the remaining ones from the Last Trail to Antartica series and other traditionals around Augusta before making our way to the CITO. All in all a fabulous days geocaching.

Travelled here from Hervey Bay, QLD, for our 2nd WAGB. was great to catch up with fellow Victorians and meet a few locals.

Hi there West Oz Geocaching. Today is Day 3 of our 2nd Augusta trip and we decided to keep our geocaching around Augusta today. While out on the road today we found this cache at 0947am after a short search - and the container and log are in good condition unless noted. TN, LN, SL. Thanks to West Oz Geocaching for this cache - our find 11257 and the 1st of 28 finds for the day.FieldNotes:

I went over to WA last year for WAGB 23 and had such a great time I decided to head back over for this years event in Augusta.So I flew into Perth again and after staying in Busselton for a couple of days and then Albany for a few more days and caching with Roaming Howie around there I finally made it to Augusta on Thursday afternoon.So I caught up with Roaming Howie again and we will see how much of Augusta we can see and do.So the official start to festivities and after picking up our goodie bags and of course our pre orders we signed the logbook and now lets hit the trails.Now bring on the rest of the weekend.Thanks West Oz Geocaching TFTEC.
