Logs
Thought to give this one a go, looked for this for over 45 minutes, hasnt been found since June. Messaged the co.
It is getting harder and harder to continue this little challenge I have set myself. It is becoming a continuous drive to the southside to find a cache. It is nice when I do not have to drive too far to grab a cache. Last night I was staying at a friends house which happened to be not far, well around the corner from this new cache. I had planned to grab this cache during the day before staying over but time got away on me, I guess it was a lucky thing. I saw the new cache come out during the night and thought lets go now, but then I was in no state to be driving or wandering around in the dark at 2 am lol. This morning I arrived at GZ and wandered over to find the new cache first. I pulled out the cache and found a blank log. I signed the log, replaced the cache as found and then went off to grab this one in the area. Thanks for the hide a nice hide.
We've known about this cache for quite some time. We eventually found time to search for it. We had towait until passers by disappeared. Simple but clever. Thanks EJS20.
EJS20 I found your cache PEACH on 1/2/2024, 12:45pm. This is my find 6378 and find # 5 today. No problem locating this cache after a brief search. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
This is the second cache I've found in this little patch of bush. Bayside Spelling Bee - X was fairly new when I found it near here on 29 July 2007. Sadly it was archived in 2017 after only 237 finds. This one I noticed recently and decided to go and find it. I remember bringing my youngest son here for a ride on the trains some time ago. We both enjoyed it. Ambled along the concrete path from the Wynnum Rd end past the RC cars, train tracks, and BMX, then struggled through the fence to the cache. Fortunately I had remembered to bring my tweezers from the car ( very useful when trying to wind the log sheet small enough to fit back into the cache container.) Added "G.M." to the log sheet, but no swaps today. TFTC. EJS20.
Ill admit Zazu is my current nemesis cache and therefore we are trying to do all the COs hides to get a feel for their hide type. Problem is there is such variety and this one was again unique and well worth the search which surprisingly was a quick grab, sign and return. Gives me hope for finding Zazu but it also good to have that one sitting there triggering the synapses.
I must have the wrong glasses on today. I spent a few minutes looking high and low and didn't spot the cache. It was then a DUH moment.TFTC EJS20
What a peach of a cache Parked in Ropely Rd car park and went for a little wander. Thanks EJS20 for hiding this cache.
I wasn't familiar with this area / Kianawah Road Park, and in the dark, my torchlight highlighted the cross-country bike area, and the nearby small trains. I will keep these in mind to return with the family on a later date to ride those trains! A short walk/jog from the car park to GZ, and I wasn't sure where to go next, so followed my GPS, and I managed to make a quick find of this evil sized cache. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks EJS20 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. ---------- This evening, a drive to the south-side, Tingalpa, was required in order to pick up a Facebook Marketplace cheapie item, so whilst in the area, I grabbed a few geocaches before returning home.
It's a big day today, but first an early start with imbunda and hatzofff before heading to the Maccas event at Wishart.Almost a clean Log sheet.Log signed and cache replaced as found on December 10, 2023. TFTC, EJS20
Saw this one pop up yesterday but couldnt convince the geokids to interrupt their plans.Surprised to see it still blinking this morning. And an early Sunday morning walk is always in order. Hooray! FTF! We frequented this park when the geokids were younger, including enjoying several train parties, so it is very nice to add another great memory to this location. Thanks For The Cache!
Up early this morning to attend an Event so decided to head to this one first as hadn't been found but I got pipped at the post by MMEandK, nice to meet you. Anyway I got a 2nd to find, log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC
