Met up to do some caching along the BBBB trail. Quite a few riders and walkers on the trail today. Found most but there were a few DNFs. Thanks for the caches RoddyC.
Watawieh from Norfolk Island South Pacific.Today with geo-friends I rode around half of the Bulimba Creek Bikeway on my Giant Talon We found 29 caches with 5 DNFs.Logs were signed REJ for Richmond Lad, endeavour3 & joojoo57This is my find #6438. These TBs visited: Norfolk Island Flag Found & logged using Cachly for iPhone & iPad
Elina_maree needed a point boost for the Cosmic Quest so I suggested we take our bikes and do as many caches as we could along the Bulimba Creek Bikeway. It was a ridiculously hot winter's day but we pushed on and ended up finding 41 caches all up (with 4 DNFs).We had decided to skip this one on the outward journey so we could pick up BrizBlitz. On our way back EM dropped the gears down and took off up the hill. It was completely dark now and I had no light on my bike so I took off after her and somehow we both managed to ride all the way to the top. We caught our breath and started looking for the cache. The street lights were very helpful in looking around here but we checked all the obvious places and couldn't see anything. Then we realised that there were some other less obvious spots and when we checked them we soon found the cache. This was definitely the last one for the day. It was now completely dark so I set in behind EM to follow her little bike light all the way back along the path to Broadwater Park. Thanks for all the great caches today RoddyC! EM found 41, and 31 of those were new for me too, so a new daily record for both of us.
41st cache for the day. Have well and truly extended my PB! All in order to get the 100 Cosmic Quest souvenir (yes, I left my run a bit late).
14/7/2024 Find #7093Todays plan was one of mischief, with KBreeAHH and cosmonaut97. We kinda had a plan in mind. But that can always change! Well the cache was found easy enough, but getting everything back in as should be was a rather challenging and funny exercise for KBreeAHH today. Thanks for the cache RoddyC.
Have had these caches on my list for a while so was glad to get them turned into smilies. Came out here on Sunday Shenanigans with 1minniemoo and KBreeAAH. Will come back for the rest of the trail. TFTC.
Out for a Friday drive in the new vehicle! With Peppa, PirateLinda and giraffe 18. Quick find by giraffe 18 while she was reaching for a Lily Pilly berry to eat.. Tftf
A lazy Friday with the Munna Culla Snack Ninjas taking Giraffe18s new car anywhere but off-roadSome parkngrabs to tide us over before food, nothing unusual for usThanks RoddyC
On my way to pick a couple of Lilly Pilly I spotted the cache. Out and about with the Munna Culla Snack Ninjas
NobbysNuts and I had a spare hour while my wife had a medical appointment so we decided to find a few of this series.I received a phone call as we hopped out of the car and Nobby did most of the searching and found the hide.TFTC RoddyC
After finishing work on the Southside of Brisbane I headed to do some more BBB series. I needed to find more Wherigos for a challenge. Now of for nice walk and geomobile shuffle up and down the bike path. I found a few today.RoddyC thank you for placing and maintaining this cache for enjoyment of the caching community.
We felt a little bit exposed here so I had to keep reminding myself that I had clothes on.Ive never been caught naked anywhere nor had those dreams that Im caught somewhere without clothes. It seems a lot of people do, but clearly when Im sleeping I have other more important things to think about. In fact in the last dream I can remember I was the dead weight following my wife around the globe opening nuclear power stations. Lets just say the word uranium popped up a lot in that dream yet somehow I stayed clothed the whole time. The worst recurring dream I have is that I am late for a university exam. I have probably had that dream 10 times and each time I wake up stressed and confused. I finished uni 30 years ago but that dream still haunts me. Even in that dream I am fully clothed. tftc
Lucky it is not a Saturday. I ride through 4 Parkruns on the way home Saturdays. This is the turn around point for one of them.Easy find with the hint thanks.
Ok, the third cache found this afternoon in this BBBB series. Was able to park close by, and the cache was quickly found. Moved away from hide whilst I signed the log sheet. All is good with this hide, despite a few ants in the outer container. Thanks very much for creating this cache and the series RoddyC. Cheers
I headed out in the geo-bike for a few caches today Duppers. We decided to hit a few of the BBBBs.I found your cache, Dorval Close - BBBB today. This is my 2656 find. This one made for a quick find. Signed as ShaDup.RoddyC, TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF
39 of 53 today.Shazzar66 & I spent Australia Day riding the Bulimba Creek Bikeway. We rode 42 Km's today, looking for caches. It was overcast, hot and humid, but we had a successful day.We started at Wynnum Road and turned around at Broadwater Road. Our strategy was generally to stick with the BBBB series, unless a cache was on the Bikeway and even then some we decided to bypass. The plan was to find more than our previous daily record of 51 caches. We didn't leapfrog, but did each cache together. We've ticked off a whole pile of caches today, with only 2 DNF's.Logs were signed ShaDup.My apologies for the generic logThanks, RoddyC, for the BBBB series.
On a rather overcast morning in Brisbane,I headed out after this mornings event to chase a few recently placed caches on the south side. After finding a safe place to park the car I pottered over to ground zero and quickly located the much sort after prize. Log extracted and moniker applied I quickly returned to the car and took was off to the next find.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available for fellow cachers to find.Cheers
With my GPS being a bit of a scatterbrain today it was a matter of looking at all the logical places and luckily the first one was the right one. TFTC
Always good to walk straight up to a cache and find it in the first place. Thanks RoddyC
Joint **FTF** and signing as the BBBB group of dedicated happy cachers.A lovely morning was spent after attending a nearby event collecting several new caches along the local bikeways.Thank you, RoddyC, for placing this trail of various caches for our benefit and enjoyment ??
Back just in time from Darwin to join in with another of RoddyCs group FTF days after an event. I joined the ladies, mostly driving, from cache to cache. Thanks for the joint *FTF* signed as BBBB.
*FTF* First to Find joint with [chamad](https://coord.info/PRPP06G), [grannysmith1947](https://coord.info/PR8VQX7), [hatzofff](https://coord.info/PRW1PY8), [Imbunda](https://coord.info/PRA3T0H), [kolour](https://coord.info/PRDR6H9), [patrol14](https://coord.info/PR39FN6), and [Snickersallan](https://coord.info/PR9Y97F).Regarding our bike ride, we left our vehicles at the Broadwater Picnic Area, and we rode a total distance of 13.1 km across an elevation of 105 m, with a moving time of 1:00 hr and elapsed time of 2:40 hr, as per my [Strava record](https://www.strava.com/activities/10508615391). It was an enjoyable ride along Bulimba Creek Bikeway which had plenty of shade. Power trails are mentally exhausting by vehicle, but that is completely contrasted by bike.We spent another few minutes searching around, and as I approached the hedge from one end, [chamad](https://coord.info/PRPP06G) checked the other, and he soon had success. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and we signed as *BBBB Crew* to save space in the logbook at the CO's request. Thanks [RoddyC](https://coord.info/PRC80AY) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. As I waited at the next geocache for [chamad](https://coord.info/PRPP06G), he caught up to me with a handful of balloons. Apparently, they were found just rolling along the ground, so hopefully the kid's birthday party from where they came from weren't too upset.----------This morning, following a catch-up at the [Coffee Aminya Caches Helluva Event](https://coord.info/GCAHGJG), baby Cottontail and I joined [chamad](https://coord.info/PRPP06G) by bike to ride the newly published Bulimba Bikeway Bison Bash (BBBB) series. It was the third section, and we rode north from Mount Gravatt-Capalaba Road to Pine Mountain Road. It was Goldilocks weather, and ideal to be on the bike before heating up in the afternoon.
Joint *FTF*After attending the morning event, a group assault was made on the new caches put out by RoddyC for the new section of the BBBB trail. Some were on bikes, some in vehicles.Another easy find. Log signed BBBB event.TFTC RoddyC
[***Joint FTF***]An early morning start this morning for an event to meet up before heading out with our instructions for the caches on the bike trail - section 3.Our small group chose to do the park and grabs where we could and then the walk between those where the road departed from the track.TFTCache RoddyC
( Joint *FTF *) With geo friends TFTC smile 17381 out and about on a lovely day having a great time finding a few local caches after the Event couple on bikes, few park and walk Thank you RoddyC for placing this cache for our enjoyment
After attending event I had to make my way for pre- arranged business.Free this afternoon so headed back to start on these new BBBB caches.Pulled up here, had a quick look around, mindful of muggles on skates rolling down path.Read hint and placement fell into place. A quick sign and replace and I was on my way down hill to next cache.Awesome, thanks RoddyC
