Out on a nice sunny windy morning bike ride... bikes in both directions so had to wait a couple of minutes for the coast to be clear before making the find.TFTC Kiwimykl

For the second time in under a week we headed over the hill to find a few caches we didn't have time for last time. This was just a short detour from our intended stop at the nearby butchers so this took priority over that.Thank you Kiwimykl.

It wasn't much of a detour from a quick visit to the butcher on the corner so a hop and a skip later we had the cache in hand. Some kind soul even sprayed a path to make the approach better!Thank you Kiwimykl

I had a trip into town and had a few spare minutes. That's all it took here although I took the harder way to the cache and then the easy way out. It could have almost been a PNG as the bollard at the entrance was down but that would have meant a tricky reverse out.

We had found the original cache here in 2013, and although we don't remember exactly where it was, clearly it was much harder to find than the new cache, which was a fairly quick find today. We made the mistake of arriving just after 3.00 p.m. when all the children were being collected from school, so a slow careful drive along the road. TFTC

[FTF]{FTF} etc at about 9.05am.I was just getting ready, in a leisurely manner, for the CITO this morning when I checked my emails and saw this one published. This is not on my way to the CITO at all, but is not a million miles away either. However if I want the FTF I should get a wriggle on.RG72 was going for a run to meet me at the CITO anyway, so I got her out the door a little earlier, and jumped in the car.I had forgotten that this end of Alabama Rd is totally shut for all traffic this weekend. I had driven past the signs on the way to and from work foretelling this all week, but took no real notice as it generally doesnt affect me daily, and I didnt think it would this weekend. But today, it did. So my parking was now not at Riverlands school, but at a pullover area southbound on SH1. As it happens, this is the perfect spot. Easy to get in and out of, and much closer to the cache. All I had to do was negotiate the very light road traffic and even lighter rail traffic to get over to it. On a week day, however, it would not have been so good.Just as I started to dive under, a runner appeared from nowhere and no doubt wondered what the heck I was up to. But after that it was just a few moments searching before I had the cache and I was quickly on my way. It was then I realised that in my haste to get out here I had left my gumboots at home. Being not too keen on a CITO in jandals, I backtracked to get those and then on to Grovetown lagoon with 5 minutes to spare.TFTC Kiwimykl.
