Suscoe was heading home today after a delightful few days caching around the Millicent area.It was a sunny sky and we were enjoying the countryside again.Lots of sheep and cattle. Thanks to Michells&hound for this hide.A spot that we have not been to before.

We stayed in Penola for a few days and wanted to find some local caches. We enjoyed walking around the historic township taking in the many heritage buildings. We enjoyed several cafes and a superb dinner at Piper's. We also met a local cacher at George the Farmer, which was fun.We love coming across the border to go on holiday and cache in South Australia. All caches were found in excellent condition unless otherwise stated.Thank you, Michells&hound, for this Traditional cache.
Easy find as the cache was on the ground. Signed and returned to as close as I thought the cache would be to coordinates.
We are travelling with richlink as part of our Annual Caravan Geocaching trip using geocaching as our guide. We love touring these back roads. A sad story. Thanks for the cache. LNCU.
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA. This is our kind of caching - back country roads. Thanks for the hideLNCU

Out and about with TeamAstro enjoying some SA caches, great scenery and good weatherI do love a cemeteryThanks Michells&hound for contributing to this great game for myself and others to enjoy.
Found at 11:41 AM GAFF?.We were camping at the Greenrise Reserve and headed off to search for this cache, but couldn't find anything other than a white rock at the base of the tree and a stick neatly cut at both ends in the tree - which we thought was what Rex liked to do ie pick up sticks that were thrown. Contacted the CO who allowed us to replace the cache and so the memory of Rex continues to live! Thanks to Michells&hound
En route from Adelaide to Mt Gambier and one of the team requested we stop for this one. Another one of us needed to use the loo (again). Very sad. We are all dog lovers so we could empathise. But what a lovely idea - to make a tribute cache.
We were in Adelaide for The Great Leap Forward (Mega-Event). After the event we made our way through to Mt Gambier, and cached a few random caches in the surrounding areas.I found your cache, Rex's Cemetery Cache #The Final - Penola today. This is my 2930 find.Having a girlie trip with Duppers and At The Lake House. Signed as Saddle club to save room in the logbook.Michells&hound, TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF
Shazzar66, AtTheLakeHouse and I had travelled from Brisbane to Adelaide for the Leap Day Mega. We had a well-researched list of caches to find. Oldies, good D/T's, Challenge caches, needed dates etc. Our list was about 60 caches deep, but also included our journey from Adelaide to Mt Gambier then to Ballarat, before jumping on the plane at Melbourne Airport. Whilst this cache wasn't on our list of 'must finds', it was on our way to another cache and so, of course, we needed to find it.Wandering nearby, it was Shazzar66 who made the find.We love doggies. So sorry, Michells&hound, for the loss of your fur-baby, but it's a lovely way to remember Rex.
scramping & I are having a long awaited day out together. First to Naracoorte for lunch & some shopping. No caches to find here. Then heading back to Penola doing some cache maintenance along the way. We really needed to find a cache for today as it has been way to long. Low & behold there was a relativley new one in the cemetery, a Rex one. We made our way to GZ & quickly realised what Rex liked to do. The cache was found quickly, signed & returned to it's hide.TFTC michells&hound
Found during our regular maintenance run. Hot day but enjoyable. After grabbing an icecream to cool down, hevwalker and I noticed a lonely green spot on the screen. We headed out, killing 2 birds with 1 stone, maintenance of a closeby cache and a smiley. Quick find. TFTC Michelle&hound
We are having a couple of days at Penola, we do like this town it has a nice feel to it. The weather is fantastic and not another soul to be seen.SL TFTC
Quick find. I have met rex many times.Found with Mogni. I think this is the most changed trip in the planning stage that i have ever been on. The " original trip " was supposed to start on the 31st of dec but at the start of December life changed and the trip was now starting on the 26th of December and all accommodation that had booked cancelled and now see what else is free on the earlier dates. A major readjust of plans and got 1/2 the trip booked before the next curve ball came in to alter the plans again. More adjusting the plans again and i realized i could host 2 CITO's in 2 different LGA's in Victoria. What we do to qualify for Victorian challenge caches. Also i got my 20, 000 cache over in Victoria in this trip. It was decided in the end that the 4x4 was going to be the vehicle for this trip that way we could go and target all the caches that you never get, the ones down the sandy/rocky/dirt and forestry roads/tracks. We left Adelaide and headed to Casterton for a couple of days, then to Budj Bim National Park ( and saw 5 koalas in the camp ground high up in the trees ), then over Heywood, a night in Mount Gambier plus there attended the 3rd CITO of the trip before sending a few nights in Millicent and then finally home. Over 250 caches found plus 86 lab caches. Mogni also got her 11th D/T loop. I also got 3 more Victorian LGA's up to 20 finds minimum for another Victorian challenge cache. If the cache was broken/eaten/smashed it was replaced with a new container and if the log sheet was wet it was replaced and if the log was full or almost full extra log sheets were added to the cache.
Christmas holidays means caching trip with sir_spectre. This year we managed to attend 3 CITO's, claim 2 FTF's, visit lots of Adventure Labs and claim many smilies.Caches that needed some love got it, and we might of even hidden a few too.As a bonus I got to catch up with my family and some friends along the way. Thanks to Michells&hound from mogni .
Beta tested this cache before it was published. Found a slightly chewed container on the ground replaced in tree with a rock for company. RIP Rex.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Having met Rex on a number of occasions, and found all of his cemeteries, it was fitting to find this one as the last one.Stopped at the CITO site of the Mega on way past, our collective efforts are paying off from a cpl of years ago...Quick find.TNLNSL Thanks R.I.P. Rex
[FTF] - 10:25am. What do you do when you see a new cache popup? You go and play FTF - First To Fetch that is! I bet Rex did a lot of fetching too. I dragged bdiaw out with me today. I wanted to try for the first to find here as I had my chihuahua of 13 years pass away unexpectedly on the 30th of November. I too share your pain of losing a fur puppy suddenly. Thank you for sharing your photos. It is lovely to see how the CITO tree has grown aswell. Another thank you for the unactivated TB found in your cache. My very first one ever found in the wild! I swapped it for a rose quartz pendant. After the find we headed to Mt. Gambier to brave the christmas shopping.*FP awarded in Rex's memory .*TFTC Michells&hound and the challenge!
After driving past yesterday due to lack of checking of emails we will claim second to find today. Nice location that Rex would have enjoyed, would have been on the trail of whatever left the scratches/tooth marks on lid too I bet.
