Tftf, have to say not one I enjoyed looking for...no lookout & very slippery on the dry pine needles
A familiar track from a past trip. Took it slowly, very wet underfoot. S L after a short hunt. TFTC barefootguru
Well I certainly felt I was earning the terrain points with this especially after some mountain walks yesterday. But despite checking several pungas I couldn't find the thing today, despite a couple of good looking hiding spots. Thanks anyway for the walk barefootguru.
I went through Inglewood on my way up to M in law's a few days ago and visited the 5 stages of the lab but left this cache and the bonus until my journey home . I was very glad i had company to do this cache as i think i would have been a lot longer with out that extra assistance and also my walking pole especially on the ' other ' side of the journey . . All was well with cache and all dry inside . I do remember a cache being hidden at the top of this hill a few years ago and i understand that the pine trees at the top are about to be removed which will be a tough job i would think . Thank you for this cache . i took nothing and left nothing .
Punga punga punga then woo hoo got it thanks barefoot guru for the placement I did come at it from the wrong direction remembering the old cache near here TFTC
Puffed a bit on the final stretch to the top, but the necessary breather gave me time to get a direct bearing on the vital point, so I managed to pretty much slide straight onto the right spot! TFTC
Bit tricky this one as the lookout is not a lookout and it clearly states the track ends. Bush bashing down the hill with J@mie who eventually found.
Well pH had me going all over the dam place so nothen for it but to search ever dam tree till I found it---- yipppp found it
Huh!? A lookout without a view!? I joked about this all the way back down. We didnt realise how cool it was in the bush until we popped back out into the sunshine again. (FTF) SLTNLN
(FTF) As soon as Mr Muggle had my car up on jacks and had drained all the oil out of my car and at the same time I was helping the littlest Miss roll out Hokey Pokey biscuits I hear a email ping.eeekkkk!!! I had to pull MM off his job to come inside and help with the cooking of the bikkies while GigiEV and I headed out to the newest cache in town! The walkway up here has been upgraded somewhat so its a really pretty walk up there now. Took us a few minutes to eliminate a few spots of interest before we came across what we were looking for. Thanks for placing this BFG on your travels to Taranaki. FP. And streak day #191 signed off.
