Logs

I attended the cache owner's event on the day this one was released but it did not suit me to attempt to find it that day. In the meantime, I have actually walked past the site several times without realising it as the cache is just before the turn around point for Saturday Parkrun events. In fact, I was here yesterday.Having noticed the previous log was a DNF, I was prepared for possible disappointment but I found the cache instantly. To be fair to those who have DNFed the cache, the colour and size of the container means it does not exactly jump out and say "Here I am!".

**21,282**We were fortunate that we had the bike with us, so it was a short cycle down the cycleway to the cache. Mr Geckoh didnt think it was that cold outside until he started cycling on the bike. BrrrParked the bike where we needed to be searching which was not helpful so once it was moved the cache was a quick find. TFTC

The Twignoid are back in the Wairarapa, chasing done new caches that have appeared on our maps since we were last here, nasty, nasty, green blobby things. TwigNZ dropped my off at here and I walked back to down along the cycleway, converting greens into yellows, while he disappeared to do a cache I already had, and then pick me up at the bottom. Nice easy find here.

Good weather, so decided to have a day in the Wairarapa to score about 20 unfound caches including the last few in the "Nifty Swifty" series and some of the ones along back country roads. A short walk and a very quick find here. Signed log, TFTC.

Today I was out and about in the Wairarapa with my friends Mar1sa and Etherlord Clan, in an effort to do the entire Nifty Swifty geoart series in a day, in order to help me with my qualification for GC30AD8 DGSc Challenge as well as have an attempt to finally do GC5G2PM 100, 10, 7 Challenge, which has been in my crosshairs for more years than I care to mention. The forecast for our day in the Wairarapa had threatened to put a bit of a dampener on our day, but in the end we were rain-free and spent a deal deal of our time in sunshine. We did get a bit of rain at about 3pm, but we had completed the NS by then so took that as a sign that our combined day was over. But as I was driving towards Greytown from Carterton (where we had met up to carpool) the weather suddenly cleared again so I figured this was an opportunity to get a few more caches under my belt, so decided to have a go at this one.I'd actually walked out to this spot not long ago, so had an idea of what was needed for this one. Hence a quick find at GZ, and I soon had my name on the log before replacing everything as found. Thanks for everything here.

#14,452. Joint {FTF} and first day find. Parked for a short walk in Woodside, South Wairarapa District. Fortunately, the GZ was pretty quiet at the time of our visit. We needed to wait briefly for a couple of walkers to get past. Quick find. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.*Thanks for the geocache placement, and for bringing us to this site, and **.T h a n k s. .f o r. .t h e. .c a c h e.**.M a u r u u r u. .k o e. .n u i. .a t u. .h o k i. .t e. .k e t e r o k i.*
