All good as I bought along a taller friend. On our way to do the local night cache.
Found TFTC, looked in wrong place for while, then spied what I thought could be it, and it was , very clever
#15,574. Park, walk and grab on Church Street in Feilding. The GZ was fortunately all quiet at the time of our visit. Relatively quick find, but the retrieval took a bit longer. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.Replacing the cache took a bit longer still.*Thanks for the geocache placement, and for bringing us to this site, and **.T h a n k s. .f o r. .t h e. .c a c h e.**.M a u r u u r u. .k o e. .n u i. .a t u. .h o k i. .t e. .k e t e r o k i.*---### LET US HAVE A BLOCK PARTY!!! ###On **May 3rd, 2025**, we will be celebrating 25 years of geocaching in **Rotorua, New Zealand** with a special **Block Party** event. (9945) Got up early this morning to do a spot of caching around Feilding. Liked the variety of hides. Was pleased that I am tall so no problem retrieving. Thanks DadandKidsNz for taking the time to place the cache and for bringing me here.
We came prepared with tree fishing equipment, none of us meeting the heinght requirements for riding this cache, kimmy+co just had it in reach so no special equipment was grabbed out
I turned up not reading the description. No support in the vicinity or the rental car for me to reach and I am not that short. Pity, looks like a cool hide. Maybe this is not a T1.5?
**21,172**Fortunately Mr Geckoh was able to reach this one and the cache was quickly signed and returned before giving the dogs a quick walk around. TFTC
This is my first look but couldn't find it. I saw everyone saying it was on sign but still can't find it
We thought this was a very clever hide worthy of a fav point. Hopefully it stays in place ( if people put back correctly it should!)Thank you DadandKidsNz for placing this cache.Log signed as B&PFind number 5170
With Gap (of Fap and Gap) Today was still about the numbers and a tidy up of Feilding caches. Sadly, we do have to travel homeWe prepared to climb trees here, but the iPhone gps had other ideas. We spotted and retrieved the hide quickly, but had trouble returning it. We had to wait for girls and a dog to move on before carefully returning the cache. Thanks DadandKidsNZ. TFTC.
we blindly went off on the wrong tangent at first. than spotted our error.had to wait until 2 girls and a dog passed before we could collect cache we had spotted.TFTC
A quick find, with a bit of a stretch, of a boldly located cache, which gets a favourite from us. TFTC
Today is my rostered Friday to provide tech support to the Feilding office. And you know what that means... lunchtime caching! I saw the attachment on approach, to which I suspect it wasn't returned correctly.I've replaced the cache at the same location, but so that the attachment is more inline with the host's lines and forms. Thanks for the smiley!
*Found with woolwood9* We were planning to find some caches in Palmerston North and go to some entertainment Saturday night. However our plans were changed so we ended up going to Feilding after dinner for quite a bit of night caching.Stayed over in Feilding so we could attend the event in Palmerston North on Sunday afternoon.*Found quickly tonight - fun hide.*
With plans changing tmann421 and I found ourselves with a bit of free time in Feilding this evening. The three of us (including Mr Doggie) enjoyed the caches.Has been a long time since we have done night caching and enjoyed the time hereSigned log tm/ww NZTFTC
A little bit of a vertical challenge for me but i did managed to retrieve it sign it and return it to where it was ! After the excellent , and well attended , x event in feilding - second in 2 weeks ! a group of us hatched a plan to visit some of the caches that required a ladder to reach them and at the end two new caches were released . - esp as one of these required ladder again . again a well thought out cache placement . thank you for this new cache .
It's been very pleasing to have a steady supply of new caches coming out locally such as all the Dadand KidsNz ones. Thank you. When you've been caching for a while you have to travel further and further for new caches. Also it's good to have a few available when a special souvenir or challenge opportunity arises, such as the current March Equinox Souvenir running from today to the 23rd and requiring three finds. So, off we headed to Feilding today and actually ended up with four cache finds - we'll keep the others in reserve for a little while yet. Fresh from "Wind in the Willows" cache, and following the cache page advice we were prepared again with our little stool for this one. However we began with a wrong assumption about the cache location and had to remember to follow the GPS, not assume it was a bit off. Thus we arrived at the actual cache site and found the cache was just in reach without the stool. Retrieval and return were soon accomplished. It's a nice little hide if somewhat exposed to public view - fortunately we had arrived at lunchtime on Sunday - so most people were probably at lunch. TFTC DadandKidsNz
Thanks for your amazing cache DadandKidsNz. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches.Found with Fisha1288 Cheers, Cympull.
Once again I am spending the weekend in Wanganui, and once again I have a Saturday afternoon free. Today I was prepared. I needed one more day of 50+ find to complete one part of the DGSc Challenge, and so today I was to focus on clearing out the Feilding area. An I did (mostly) thanks to a large number of recently published high quality hides, and a beautiful summers day. I had a lot of fun, spending ten hours floating around the region and gathering up Geocaches. Here's one I found. That is not the hide place or style I was expecting. I like it.---Thanks to by DadandKidsNz for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with Geocachers like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.[DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge.
Quickly spotted by child. Was easier to reach than expected. Fun hide, thanks heaps.
We are enjoying being out and about, seeking caches for leap day. I had targeted this one in Feilding previously, but was limited for time and just a bit vertically challenged (& parked on the opposite side of the road), so happily left for another day, and today being leap day was great for hubby to reach up & retrieve so I could sign away, and he could then replace as found. Thanks very much DadandkidsNz for another great cache in Feilding.
Borrowed a milk crate from work and grabbed it on the way back home to Bulls. TFTC
Drove to Feilding to clean up some of the newer caches by DadandKidsNz.This one was quite high but I could just get it down safely. I had some trouble replacing back as I somehow gotten shorter eventually back as found I wrote in the log TFTC. Thanks DadandKidsNz for placing this Traditional cache! DadandKidsNz , ! 29 January 2024 at 6:35PM#839th Find
The cache was found on the ground, so we replaced where we thought it should go (up high)
Yay! I must be 1.8m tall now... Still quite a stretch but managed it after parking right beside GZ in case I needed to climb on the car to reach
Today I'm heading up to Palmerston North and Feilding on a bit of a numbers run to help boost my qualification efforts for the Bulk Finding Elective of GC30AD8 DGSc Challenge. Over the last few months there have been many new caches published up that way, so I'm hopeful of being able to find 50+ today.Having got my day off to a flying start with the Lockwood Power Trail, I thought I'd then head off to my anticipated furthest point in order to start caching back towards home. By now I was in Feilding, and starting to find some of the recently placed caches..Spotted immediately, and I was *just* about able to retrieve it. Then the muggles appears on the path so sat on the grass to sign the log and wait for them to leave before replacing it. I'm not short, but if getting the cache was fingertip then putting it back was even more so! Thank you for setting this one up
Gym session done and got hubby to give me a hand on this one as I was not the right fit, thanks for the placement found at 10pm which made it easier to find.
The first cache for us today which was quickly retrieved by Capperz.T F T C DadandKidsNz.Capperz had suggested an afternoon trip this week to grab some of the new caches that had popped up over the holidays. This afternoon suited us both and the weather blasted down its sunny rays as we grabbed eight together and then I went on to grab another three plus two Adventure Lab Cache stages due to my map having a heap more unfound caches than his.Sadly the day finished with a DNF but I'm very happy with the overall total for today!
Glad Im tall and a quick find whilst waiting for the lady across the road to finish her gardening. An after work mini session with tommygun9 to swoop up some of the recent new placements in Feilding. Wed both noted the smattering of Fave points awarded and were pleased with the hide styles and variety from this innovative new CO. As my map of potential available options shrunk by 8, this quick hail in 40 minutes was just the tonic thus cacher was seeking. Thanks to all the Cache Owner for their caches today, left some fir another future visit(s)
A lovely (FTF) joint with emiliyah and watcache, such a lovely way to complete our adventures caching over the last few days before I head for home again TFTC Dadand KidsNz
Just arrived in Feilding today to visit family and then watcache said a new cache has come out lets go. Lucky we got a joint (FTF) with watcache and xsaveya tonight. TFTC was fun to get.
Playing musical cars at home, when someone mentioned there is a new cache come out in town almost an hour ago, and as there was one more car to shift and it had the grandkids carseats in it so they all piled in and we were off so see if the first to find was gone.On arrival it became apparent that I was not taller than the description but lucky I had come prepared, eldest grandson quickly came to the rescue, and we were all signing the blank log.Joint {FTF} with xsaveya and emiliyah at 8-55 pmThanks for the placement and the smiley and the ftf.
