Out and about on a caching day with Posums saw us in the posher part of town! A lovely walk here and a quick find to finish off. Thanks
Today I planned to walkover to Herring Island for an event (not an easy task walking on water you might say) and I mentioned it to my caching buddy GemmaSistema. So a planned was hatched to catch up and do some caching before hand.I picked her up at a station and soon the day of fun and laughs started.Caches were mainly picked by if there was parking close by and also how much walking was involved. This side of town is very different to the one where I live as there is some very impressive houses around. We had a nice stroll around the park gathering what was needed and soon had a set of coords.Cache was soon located and signed. Thanks Kristysadventures TFTC.
Well now, this took a bit of finding between the somewhat cryptic values and the quote public location at GZ.Fortunately travel time to the location is minimal so a second visit to make the find wasn't terribly inconvenient. Thanks for the stroll and providing a local multi.
Find 3336Returned here today after our previous visit which resulted in a DNF.Turned out we made a slight calculation error which we discovered at home.Today straight to the target and almost instantly the cache was retrieved.Log signed and all back safe again. Thanks kristysadventures.
Checked on this cache today in the lovely summer sunshine after lunch at the cafe across the road. Cache was tucked away neatly but it had a crack. Replacement cache put in place.
Sadly for us today it was a DNF.We visited all the waypoints and did have trouble working out the clue at one of them.We did the calcs and felt we were in the right spot that matched the hint but couldn't locate the cache. Will put a watch on this one.
What a beautiful park! Although missed some of the numbers, worked out some good looking coords ! TFTC
The weather gods have been so kind to us giving us a beautiful calm sunny winters day to cache on our trip to the other side of the bay on our long weekend mini break. We were able to use the fact that it was a weekday to our advantage as there were significantly less muggles around to see our shenanigans searching for caches in somewhat busy locations. We took a leisurely wander around the park noting we had been here on a previous occasion for another cache many moons ago. We found all the intended info except for the cartoon but as it was the last number of the south we still came up with a set of coordinates that looked good on the map. Once there we waited patiently for some dog walkers to pass before going in for the cache. The container has split down the side as it is very fragile but the log sheet was all good. Thanks Kristysadventures for the multi placement.
Today called for a day of caching and so I ventured out with one half of Earthbound Chief to find the closest unfound caches to where we live. We got lucky with the weather with winter sunshine in the sky. Both of us were avoiding our boring repetitive daily domestic duties opting to cache instead. The housework can wait.Great day to be out to take a leisurely stroll in this lovely park. Unfortunately the cache container is very brittle and difficult to access the logbook which is also almost full. I didn't have a similar replacement container with me I'm sorry. Thank you for the cache here Kristyadventures
Out and about today with OSHFAM collecting a few smilies. We had a lovely stroll around the park in the sunshine while we chatted about nothing muchand the bonus at the end of our stroll was to sign a log. Unfortunately we didnt have an appropriately sized replacement container, as the container has become brittle and you cant help but kind of squish it in trying to get the lid offsorry Kristyadventures. Thanks for excuse to go for a stroll with a mate!
*Found on the 13 Jul 2024 @ 3:49PM.**Cache find # 15663.* After a bit of a kayak adventure on the Yarra river, it was time to head for home, but on the way, I was able to make a few slight detours to find a few other caches along the way, this was one that I found.Go for a stroll it says, so I did, collecting some info along the way, once I had what was needed, I soon had another location to visit, once there the cache was found fairly quickly. The container is split and broken but the log is still fine.**Thanks to Kristysadventures for keeping the game going by placing this cache.**
The plan for today was to find at least one multicache. Our fist goal turned out to be only half successful, so no joy there. After a [Leisurely stroll around Landcox Park](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GCAJ15K_leisurely-stroll-around-landcox-park) all of the information was gathered (along with a few photos).Taking a seat and working out the final coordinates proved at least one thing, I need to pay closer attention to the wording on the cache page. Eventually a nice set of numbers was extracted and a likely looking GZ determined. Then it was time for a game of "Ring a ring a rosie". Soon enough the hide was revealed and a nearby natural TOTT employed to extract the cache from its hiding spot and also the log from the container. Said log was a tad damp, but after a few minutes it was dry enough to get our mark on. Found with +Wife on Mothers Day. Thanks for the cache Kristysadventures, we were here three months ago for your Chinese New Year Event but decided it would be best to leave a few local multis to help fill the 366 day grid. With this find that mission is now complete.
We have fond memories of our last visit to this park. A Chinese New Year event and our youngest son, his wife and our granddaughter were here that day too. We didn't see them today but that's okay. We did go out for dinner with them last night.A delightful spot to come and relax. We thank the local council for their efforts to educate the general public of the devastating effect of feeding bread to native birds. We both do volunteer work with a local wildlife shelter and see first hand the outcome of this behavior. We understand that people do this with the best intentions but more needs to be done to get the message across.Perhaps this could be introduced into the primary school curriculum. Then the children could educate their parents and grandparents. Thanks for the multicache Kristysadventures. It was a great excuse to return to this lovely park.
I find it amusing that I was somewhat petulant over the first finders log here, given I have competed against them several times down Peninsula way in an often-friendly exchange of you beat me well done its all yours type conversations. Yet, I really had no chance of ever getting a first to find here, considering I actually stuffed up working out what is a generally straightforward multi. Admittedly, I went about it in my make it harder than it needs to be approach or that I thought I could skip the actual waypoints and attempt to finangle a cache. That will teach me. On that note actually, I did check a tree that later turned out to be the GZ tree, but thanks to the size of the cache, I didnt see it. And when I did finally find it, I couldnt pry it out of the nook and returned another day and fiddled around some more and it eventually budged. The log was quite wet but thankfully the sun was out, so I took a seat for ten minutes and tried to dry the log out a little and noticed a couple of tawny frogmouths in the same tree above. The log now a little drier, I was able to sign and returned the cache. Thanks to Kristysadventures for highlighting this lovely park.
Found at 16:09Out for a couple of caches on my way home this afternoon. I wandered around and collected the required info having an issue with one bit of counting and not finding the info for one number. The counting was obvious and the other number was not important so I was able to quickly locate the container. Thanks Kristysadventures for the cache
Out and about with My good caching mate Omegaman1971, there are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles. This is one of the caches found today. This was a nice park to visit, almost missed spotting the hide. Thanks Kristysadventures for the cache.
Omegaman1971Support Your Local Villain Live - Laugh - Lurk Caches Found: First To Find: 152Sidetracked Cache Finds: 121Out and about with Rebel Acts after finishing work a little earlier today. After a short search, we soon had the cache stamped.Cheers for the cache.
I needed to find a multi cache today in order to fill in a missing calendar date for [RoamingHowie's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=24963346-56c5-4daf-8308-a01f60f5a5ba&wid=6a725450-9b6f-4892-abca-126a7026759c&ds=2) [WCW - 95% Multi Calendar Challenge (GC9Z59M)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9Z59M) and so after work I opened up [Cachly](https://www.cachly.com/) to see what nearby multi caches I still had unfound, when I spotted this one. *Ooo a new multi and even hidden by one of my favourite COs!*Well that is all I needed to see. So I hopped in the geomobile and made my way over to the posted coordinates. When I arrived at the posted coordinates, the park seemed so familiar and as I was enjoying my *leisurely stroll* I remembered why. I had come to this very park back in December 2021 to find [ellenvgreg's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=7642884a-d738-4dbe-af54-9148385cf077&wid=f849f868-ab21-4cd0-8a5d-3eef3c693a2a&ds=2) [EntQueen of Landcox Park (GC8EBB3)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC8EBB3_entqueen-of-landcox-park). Unfortunately, the EntQueen was cut down and so the cache was archived, but it was still lovely to see some of the other beautiful trees out on my walk. This was a fun twist on a multi and the non-sequential manner of this cache made it just that extra bit more challenging. After I finished my walk and worked out the coordinates for GZ I was off to find the cache.Lucky for me the park was actually fairly empty today and although I had to wait a minute or so at GZ to have a muggle walk by, the rest of my search was uninterrupted. However, I actually got pretty lucky on this one, as I ended up spotted the well hidden cache quite lucky.*Just ended up catching something that look a bit out of place...*A big thanks goes to [Kristysadventures](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=2025b6ac-6591-4990-a921-bd242af298ea&wid=c348e7cf-20f9-416f-83b4-a24eb87b7ebf&ds=2) for all the fun today. TFTC.**Cache Maintenance Status**The cache container was in good shape and the logbook was clean and dry with plenty of room for future cache finders to sign.
It took a couple of visits to Landcox Park to find this cache. Fortunately I'm in the area on Wednesday afternoons each week for a pickup at the nearby Gardenvale Primary School. On my first visit a week ago I had an issue with a couple of the answers but did come up with a suitable final location - but no cache was found. Today I rechecked each of the answers and although I still had a issue with interpretation of one question. But I came up with coordinates for the final and this time the search found the small container - I was about 5 m out the first time and I picked the wrong tree. Thanks to Kirstysadventures for the cache.
Very nice multi cache in Landcox Park. It took me a little while to find the birds home as the opposite tree - which is heavily decorated - caught my attention first. Also, taking a photo of the sculptures plaque (which was my first stop) turned out to be a good idea! TFTC!!
Slipped out at lunchtime while WFH to fill a gap in my non-trad calendar. Luckily it was not a busy day at work because it took a little longer than I expected. For a start, I did not realise that I had walked straight past one of the waypoints so was looking for a lot of the answers in the wrong place and getting somewhat confused. Then at another of the waypoints, there was more confusion for one of the answers. Not to worry, I eventually figured it all out except for the uncertainty around one of the numbers. Took a guess at the most likely option and GZ looked pretty good so off I went. Couldn't see anything there, so searched at all the other options as well, at least, all those that matched the hint. Still no luck, so sat down, checked my work, went back to my first guess and there it was! Sneaky little hide!TFTC!
My brain was mush after a huge couple of days in Geelong. Thankfully swept along with fellow attendees at event - I did make contribution to extracting log. Thanks for this cache Kristysadventures and for your fabulous event. Regardskbucky
We arrived at the event 30 minutes early and I had heard that micaparamedic had just started the multi, so I raced over to catch up. Once at WP1, we were also joined by Spiffy, so we continued through the rest of the multi as a trio. After we had all the info, our first attempt in solving the clues was 736m away so we had to massage the numbers a bit by figuring out, which we had mis-calculated. One of the errors was all three of us not recognising an instance of 'black' when we see it (or don't at the case may be). When that was fixed a walk over for the find, then, since we had completed it early, we got to watch the following groups go off on their jaunts and finds. This was our 6th cache find in this park, with the previous finds being in 2004, 2006, 2017, 2021 and 2024 (today). Thanks from D & HA B-A
Arrived early to the dragon event and joined up with a couple of others to do this. We went to all 3 waypoints and didn't find the cartoon character and our coords we way over in some houses. After reading the questions more carefully we had to adjust both our South and East coords and eventually we had some good looking coords and we headed over for a nice quick find thanks to the hint. Thanks Kristysadventures for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.
YAPIDKA in marvellous Melbs. Always on a multi mission so during the event we joined a small group to wander the park the WP's and collect the info to discover the location of GZ. Thanks for the FUN and bringing us here and creating this cache to explore the park, Kristysadventures
Date: February 10, 2024 Time: 6:50 PMFind #14368Had partially solved this online but not all info was available, so as I was here for a CNY event, I wandered the park gathering the required info. A little confused at 1 point but got there in the end.Massive thanks go to Kristysadventures for placing this one. ??
Found while attending the geocaching event. It was great fun hunting for clues with a crowd.
There was a new cache in the park, so after helping with the initial event setup, I joined Ahomburg to wander the park and collect the answers. We translate Kristyese and fathered answers to the questions at hand while finding interesting little spots in the park. Our initial coordinates didnt look good so we revised an answer or two and they looked much better.Sure enough a cache was revealed and it was back to the celebrations! Thanks Kristysadventures for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy. ----------------------------------------------------------The Ballarat GeoTour ends on 4 March 2024! After catching up with a few geo-friends at the event, a few of us wandered around this lovely park gathering the required info, followed by a quick find at gz.Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, Kristysadventures ~~
Strolled around with Muzza and BahFahGah sorting out the cryptic clues. Luckily we managed to find the cache. Thanks for the multi Kristysadventures.
A very fun search with a group of catchers here for the event. Thank you for the hide!
Part of a group find I watched where the group went, then I found it. Thank you for the hide.
Found this cache while attending the Chinese New Year event in the same park. A fun night with other cachers.TFTC
Found this cache while attending the Chinese New Year event. Was joined by Rabbitto and Spiffy for the leisurely stroll around Landcox Park, where the information was collected and a solution crunched. Thanks Kristysadventures for placing this Multi-cache to enhance the game board and add to our enjoyment.
Duing the nearby Chinese New Year Event, I wandered off with McLookers and Buhfuhguh looking for answers and finding most. We came up with some co-ordinates so headed there for a quick find. Thanks to Kristysadventures for an enjoyable wander around the park.
After spotting Muzza starting this cache, and me having to return a logbook to him I tagged along on this little one. Walking along and answering the questions as the came along this multi really flew by. Soon enough we were at the final and with a quick look I spotted this sneaky little cache. Signed and returned, now time to head back the the event. Thanks for the cache and the little adventure.
bunadoorian and I were at the park nice and early so decided to go for a walk to find the answers required. Well we didn't read everything correctly and some clues we found a bit cryptic. We went for a search where we thought GZ was but to no avail. We waited for the CO to arrive for the evening event and checked where we had gone wrong. Ok so back to one of the waypoints answer found and off we went to find the cache in the first placed I looked this time!!! TFTC , the walk around this lovely park and the fun - Kristysadvantures.
A small group of us set out to find what was needed. After some discussion at each waypoint, a set of coords was decided on and the find was made soon after. Great park, great company, great event, great cache. What else could you ask for. Thanks for the stroll around here and the placing of the cache.
I have been to this park a few times for geocaching, and it just so peaceful and pretty. I visited the waypoints and collected the information. At GZ the cache was found speedily.
After a few attempts to get the correct co-ordinance Grub62 and I finally approached the correct GZ then a quick find was made. It was great taking in the park. Thanks for bringing us here and TFTC.

I was just trying to decide what I wanted for lunch when this geocache got released. Who needs lunch when a FTF is available? ??I quickly left the team at work in the dust as I rushed off towards the GZ. Certainly not going over the speed limit with the amount of cameras, police cars and motorbikes I've seen monitoring these roads. However pretty soon I was walking towards 1 of the way points.Walking around this lovely area, I was a bit confused because it seemed familar. After getting some of the clues, I walked past an area that I had been to before caching, and remembered when I had been here before. Good to see it in the daylight. The next way point was a good little hidden area that I could guess most people who come here don't ever discover. Soon I was at the posted coordinates and getting the last few numbers I needed. Soon the final was discovered and the container soon found. Could be a busy at times here, but was quiet near the GZ for me. Signed and off for 1 more walk around before heading off. Thanks for the cache Kristys AdventuresPS.5,978th Geocache456th Multicache439th [FTF]
Hunter can be grateful I don't have a car presently lol. Only 2kms away. An 18 month first to find slump for me!
Found with CJDenno and letthemeatcache and JohnnyGC. We came to find this one this evening and started completing the steps to find the coordinates. Once we got our coordinates, we walked towards them and waited for a muggle to go away, and then started searching, where we quickly spotted it.I visited 4 TBTFTC
Jonny wanted to get out for a stroll tonight.... Landcox Park is beautiful....Jonny loved this multi... Some waypoints were detailed... But Jonny don't mind Thanks to Kristysadventures for this hide.
Well, what to do on a Friday afternoon.!It usually entails making the journey to the rissole with the highest of hopes of being the raffle winner or taking home the jokers jackpot.A call from a friend soon had me wondering if I would imbibe in a cache before the usual Friday festivities.Righto! Game on. But lets not be late for the raffle.!So off we went and made the stroll around and sure enough ended up with the win of another variety. The logs done.Well the next part of the adventure was less adventurous. We didnt win the raffle.Maybe some luck with Chinese NY celebrations will come to fruition in future raffles. Many thanks Kristy for this one.We had fun.I visited 3 TB.TFTC.
