Couldn't get close to GZ last visit due to the PGA being played. Back today, for a nice quick "Drive By" Log signed.TFTC
Nice. We do like a multi that works out easily and with no ambiguity. And today we found your cache. All is good here. First to sign the new logsheet. Thank you.
Leaving the family lounging around at home, I headed out to collect a few caches on my way to DFO for a bit of a shopping spree.Found all the clues on Google Earth and I parked next to GZ.Thanks!!#3696
I solved this multi using Google Earth not long after it was published. After dropping off my husband at the airport, I decided that it was time to find this cache as I was also needing a multi for today. I also thought that it may be a bit quieter at gz late on a Sunday - but I was wrong. There were a couple of cyclists hanging around and they soon left. But there was also a stream of cars driving by and the occasional car pulling in - so I just went for it and grabbed the cache before anyone else arrived. Logbook signed and quickly replaced before anyone else arrived. Tftc
After a couch session, l had some good looking coords. Dragged Muggle65 out today to see if we could make the find. Surprising number of Muggles but we got there in the end. Thank you for the fun ??
Out briefly with GreenGecko1 to do some translating and calculating to make this fabulous find.
I needed a cache today to complete some crazy challenge I am working on. And what better than to grab than a multi than you can solve virtually and drive by ! But rather than "Drive By' this park and grab, I thought I might take a (bloody long) walk and collect it instead. A few years years ago, I did a Bloody Long Walk for charity from Curlew Park in Sandgate to the Botanical Gardens in the city - 35 km's all up. The interesting thing about the passage of time is that you eventually forget the pain. Recently, my Bromance caching mates hit me to do this walk again. I know - I am an idiot, but is for a great cause - research into MITO ! Today was the day. Our Bromance team - Seffnjarah, Jezndez and I - collected our Bloody Long Walk bibs and set off at our allocated start time. From Curlew Park, we followed the back streets of Sandgate, before joining the bikeway along the Gateway Motorway all the way to the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. here we took the track through Boondall Wetlands through to Nudgee Beach. So, 2 hours and about 11.5 or so kilometres into our walk today, I found myself close to this cache. It was a quick find here, however, my blasted pen did not work. So I have attached some photos for the CO's reference and will return to sign the logbook the next time I go to the Waste Transfer Station. The Bloody Long Walk would usually follow the bike track behind the Golf Course, but there is a bridge being repaired at present so a section of the track is closed. From the cache, we rejoined the bikeway along the gateway heading south, before eventually rejoining the track along Kedron Brook all the the way through to Toombul. From there, we toured the streets of Hendra and Hamilton before joining Kingsford Smith Drive, where we followed the river all the way through to Southbank for the final push over the Goodwill Bridge into the finish at the Botanic Gardens. All up, the walk was just short of 35ks' and I tallied up one cache find - this one - and some 50k steps for the day. Many thanks Que Sera Pete#7,930
I took the easy option and completed this from my armchair and just hoped I had everything correct. The result I archived seemed reasonable. So being in the area I thought I would just take a look. Cache found, log signed and everything returned as found. TFTC
On my way home I stop to find this cache. Plus of course I needed a multi today.Que Sera thank you for placing and maintaining this cache for enjoyment of the caching community.
With the multitude of options for solving this multi-cache, I elected for the couch-sitting method utilising Google Streetview. I seem to recall during my first attempt that the checksum didn't equal, but a subsequent review of the six waypoints had me find my error, and then I had a set of plausible coordinates on 14/01/2024.A bike ride in the Nudgee-Northgate area that I had been wanting to complete following our hot ride in November 2022. After parking on Nudgee Road, Baby Cottontail and I set out on a bike ride along Jim Soorley Bikeway adjacent to Kedron Brook Floodway departing just after 11:00 hr, and we rode a total distance of 15.2 km across an elevation of 38 m, with a moving time of 1:00 hr, and total elapsed time of 1:50 hr, as per my [Strava record](https://www.strava.com/activities/11272160911). The wind helped to keep the mosquitoes at bay, and I enjoyed the bird life that was amongst the wetlands and water accumulations. This turned out to be my first geocache find of the day and of our ride; I managed to walk straight to the cache, and I noted the small and stagnant wasp singular nest that appeared to be vacant just below the attached cache. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks [Que Sera](https://coord.info/PRFWTKP) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. A unique multi-cache, that I practically found as a drive by!
Out with IolantheK for an afternoon of caching IolantheK spent some time sorting out this one then it was off to see the sights Cache was just where one expects (the hint being quite accurate ) TFTC Que Sera
Out with T-Tech this afternoon picking up a couple of caches in the Banyo and Nudgee area. This one was solved at home using Google Maps. At GZ T-Tech went straight to the right spot and made the find. TFTC, Que Sera.
A nice quick find. Surprised at the number of cars on the road here today. TFTC
I needed a fast multi for today (a rainy Sunday) and this one appealed. I let my fingers do the walking and came up with good numbers but after arriving at GZ late tonight, couldnt find anything.Looking at my final coords again, I realised I had stuffed up the final input of digits, but thankfully I was only about 30m away from the real GZ so didnt need to even move my car.All is good here so TFTC and thanks for an interesting multi experience.
This morning I was picking up my son, daughter, mother and sister from the airport on their return from Japan and South Korea. Its good work if you can get it, jet setting around Asia. They had been traveling for almost 24 hours so I knew they were going to be jet lagged and awesome company. At least if they were tired they werent going to be boring me with details about how awesome their holiday was.I had hours to kill so I decided that a drive around Nudgee would be the perfect tonic to kill a few of them. Even better, I didnt have to get out of the car once to track down any numbers. It was almost like couch caching. I could have spent the time drinking coffee, but after 3 or 4 coffees I would have only wiped off a 25 minute deficit.Im also happy I did the stages in order because I didnt have far to get to GZ. There werent any wasps to deal with but still lots of spider webs. I think the CO should start charging the spiders some rent. tftc
Que Sera I found your cache DRIVE BY on 2/3/2024, 12:51pm. This is my find 6436 and find # 7 today. Drove around and gathered all the required information. Arrived at GZ for a quick and easy find. The wasp guardian is still there. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
With an early start at work this morning had an hour or so free in the middle of the day in between meetings to grab a few local caches. This one has been in my solved pile for sometime and it was an opportune time to turn it into a smilie. Found quickly and log signed.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.RegardsShaun
GCAJ27J DRIVE BYWas feeling down as today would have been my dads 80th birthday. Asked son to drive me around to get the answers required and to get some hours on his Ls. It was nice spending some time with him. Fast forward to today where I went and grabbed the cache. Must be a while between finds as I had to reach through cobwebs to grab it. There was 1 wasp there too. Hopefully he wont bring his friends. Log was damp but could write my name of it. Thank you Que Sera for giving me some time with my son and got me out of the house to enjoy the day.
I found it coated in about a billion spiderwebs. Found on 24/1/2024 at 2:58pm. Thanks for the cache Que Sera
Accio 17:13:08Another day another multi with Fangsoki. This has been a fun month. Today we are braving the weather by driving. A very relaxful multi, and we both commented on the similarity to Rural Safari events. We drove around, collected clues, crunched the numbers and made zero mistakes (woohoo). Final GZ looked very good to us, and was quickly spotted upon arrival. I did get out of the car to sign it, but almost didn't have to. FP for an excellent fun multi. Thanks Que Sera for entertaining me at this location. *{Overall find #12095}*
Pprime and I were about grabbing a few caches and decided to try for this one.We really enjoyed this. It reminded me a bit of a "Safari" event - looking for clues from the car. We soon had all that we needed and then made our way to GZ.It was a nice peaceful find at GZ for us. Thanks for the enjoyable multi, Que Sera. TFTC
We headed out for an after dinner drive to enjoy the views across the ocean at Nudgee Beach on this nice clear night. On the way back we pulled in to search for this cache, which I had already gathered the numbers for with the help of modern technology. With the helpful hint, the cache was found nice and quickly even in the dark. Thanks Que Sera
My home is walking distance from most of the waypoints so I should have done this on foot but I was able to get the correct final waypoint using Google Maps Street View. Once at GZ I waited for some mammils to continue on their ride before I went in search of the cache. A very quick find thanks to the hint and great co-ordinates. Thanks Que Sera for this fun multi around my home.
