I first looked for this cache a few months ago but it was just a few metres out of my reach. I needed help, probably with a ladder. Today I came back with Laidlaym&m and ladder. I visited this cache and signed the log on 26/Apr/2024 at 12:16 and finally found qualifying cache #10.With a slightly dodgy shoulder, these are about the only tree climbs I can do these days and it turns out they are not very common. Climbed and signed 19 October 2024 7:50pmThe last one of a very full day and not such a hard one to get to. After coming out of The Dandenongs, with the weather drying up nicely, catnap777 and I made the most of the rest of our day by scooping up a heap of these mystery caches scattered about the place, and a few others that we had cast our eye over before setting off on our fruitful daytrip. 19 October 2024 19:43dalerious and I were mainly chasing unsigned Challenges this weekend and we chose a couple of lovely destinations to find them.Although the rain brought out the Leeches en mass, we still got to find and sign the ones we wanted, plus find a few mysterie's while we were at it.It was so lovely walking in the rain and seeing things eo fresh. We even heard Puffing Billy in the distance, and were lucky to find a Lyrebird feather; quite a find.Thank you horror.fan.jm for providing these challenges. I will log them as found in due course.

**Routine Maintenance Check**Happy to report the cache container was in good shape and the attachment mechanism still seemed strong. Unfortunately, it appears all of the **SWAG** appears to have gone missing, so I will have to bring some more on my next maintenance run.However the logbook was clean and dry with plenty of room for future cache finders to sign.**Good to go and ready for the next finder!**

Spring Victorian Incursion 2024.Day Five: Yarra RangesWeather: the first day without wind and a great afternoon.One last cache as I make my way down the hill and back to my temporary base. Daredevil tree climbing is not my thing, but the level required to log this cache Im ok with. The list generated by the checker is interesting; I do remember some of these caches and I recall that they didnt involve any tree climbing at all. Found with FairyDust01 who did the hard yards on this one, with my support. Shes nearly an adult but very much loves climbing trees. I may struggle to get her out! Thanks for the cache

We hadnt had a chance to find any TDOC's yet for this year, so we had loosely planned to find a couple today in this area and any other solved puzzles etc. This Challenge kind of fits that category so it went on the list. Once at GZ the cache was easily spotted and fairly easily accessed. Once up there GMelb commented that the tree was swaying!! lol So GMelb or MMelb are the tree climbers now in this team however as a child JMelb lived opposite a tech school which had an oval and trees all around its perimeter... JMelb and her next door neighbours found the best tree and it became our house with areas designated as bedrooms and kitchen etc ... so much fun. My mind boggles with how high we climbed that tree every day (in good weather) ... **15/07/2024, 12:40:00****Find #5861****Mystery Find #1162**I qualified for this challenge the day it was published but hadn't been anywhere near the area until today. I was initially concerned at the proximity to the hotel but that was only the parking waypoint. Whew. I soon spotted was I was after and not for the first time since I started caching, I was glad that I'm not on the short side of tall. Been eyeing this challenge off for a few months, but I only had 9 qualifying finds and was never quite in the vicinity.Solved the first issue earlier this week with a trip to Fawkner cemetery and the weather was great for a drive and climb this afternoon. The circus is in town so Tiz13 came along to audition....no pressure it's only a T2 climb..what could possibly go wrong?? Well the initial 1st step was going to be an issue I almost went back for a ToTT but then I persevered and got my leg up on the 3rd attempt. Then it was all a fine ballencing act. In the area today with Redcb, we decided to have a look at this cache. I dont generally climb trees, but I thought it worth looking at. Not the best weather, but still an opportunity to get outside, targetting mainly drive-bys. We arrived at gz, and made our way over to discover we were a little vertically challenged. Being in Sebastian, we didn't even have an appropriate tott on board.Oh well, I think I can do this. Well tree climbing is definitely NOT my thing. So I was a little surprised when I ran the checker that I at least qualified for this basic tree climb challenge. Looks like I only just make it, with my 10th one only a couple of months ago, and I've been caching for 23 years! Anyway, in the area today I dropped in to sign the log book. This was easy to find, and even for a 50-year old this was within my capabilities! So one branch up and something secure to stand on, sign and return was done. I haven't been to this area for ages - grew up nearby. **Routine Maintenance Check***I was happy to see the cache was still in the tree. The attachment mechanism still seemed strong and the cache container was in good shape. The logbook is clean and dry with plenty of room for future cache finders to sign.**Good to go for the next finder!**

BoabTree fulfils challenge Sapling Challenge (GCAJ63N), according to https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCAJ63N/84529Qualifying 17 / 10, PASSEDI had no idea whether I would fulfill the requirements as I am not a great tree climber, and have been warned about this dangerous activity by a couple of well meaning doctors as I am at the brittle bone age. I ran the checker and got a tick, so what could I do. Another tree was climbed and the log signed. Love it!

I found this cache today after a quick trip to Lysterfield. I parked at the oval across the road and walked on the bike path under for easiest access. Still road tripping in the east and caching too with Jack and Purrfect Di. Australia Day, Invasion Day, Survival Day, Annoyed 'cos u can't buy an overseas made aussie flag day = Much Confusion Day ... whatever you're celebrating or not, it's still a day for caching! [:o)]Started the day raining in Lakes Entrance, ended sunny in Ferntree Gully Sat in the pub in F Gully, thinking where can we cache now??? Then ooohhh a challenge - wonder if we qualify - well let's find it then go check! So after a short climb with the others cheering me on, cache was reached and logs stamped/signed. All three of us would qualify but the others PurrfectDi and Jackthemonkey are quite a bit behind on logging, so when they pull their fingers out we'll log them too! For now - Mattycat passes with 51/10 according to project GC. Nice. Joint [FTF] with Dromaniax and Omegaman1971 I had to deliver something to Pakenham today so I invited Dromaniax to join me on a trip to cache our way there and back again. we had already complete our errand and were chasing some large caches in the Pakenham area when caches started to drop. Dromaniax was really keen to try for a first to find because he was still short a first to find this month in his steak of months with a first to find. we abandoned our search for larges and headed for the closest newly published cache. The GPS said 47 minutes which was less than ideal and what didn't help matters was a double earth moving truck that pulled out in front of us moving extremely slowly. Eventually we were out into some quicker moving traffic and made our way through the hills to are parking spot.A quick check and the cache page was still free from logs as we walked to GZ which made Dromaniax hopeful. Along the way we were spotted by Omegaman1971 who quickly caught up also in the hope to share in the first to find as he was sitting on 149 and was very keen to make it 150.At GZ the climb as advertised was an easy one much easier than another I completed earlier in the day. We were very exited when the log book was revealed and it was clean.A celebratory group photo was taken and we headed back on our way. I always like to do a quick check on the cache after the FTF is gone. Happy to report the cache is still in great shape. Now that the FTF coin is gone there is some more room for a bit of SWAG as right now it is a bit light. I will endeavour to order some more so the cache as a bit more for the next finders to have.
