A Watertank Wander with +Wife, nirgalagrin and EveTheStaffy, and of course, a few caches along the way. This was our first find along this road. Thanks for the artful caches, Posums.
14:41A Sunday drive with n0w0rries+Wife and EveTheStaffy, enjoying the cool after a couple of scorchers. This was found while we toured scenic water tanks. For a wonder, I spotted it.Thanks, Posums.#9381
Out for a drive and stumbled on this geo. But after much looking we gave in. Not today.
Nicely hidden cache and you beauty. With art as well 2 loves for the one price tftc
Great location for a cache because we were hunting down the water tank art. Found Tftc
Had attempted to find this cache on a detour on the way to work a few weeks ago, but unexpected traffic/roadworks cut the time I was able to be there so much I couldn't have a decent look; due to insufficient time at GZ I figured it would be unfair to mark it as DNF.Then last night, came back on a detour on the way home from work. Well, wet weather on the way, darkness, the works, I was half expecting to have to abort again. But, no, the rain stopped about 200 metres from GZ, and judicious use of torch fairly swiftly found me the cache; log retrieved, stamped, and returned, then back into the geomobile. Thanks for the cache, contents in good condition, and luckily still dry as I resealed it, then entered the geomobile only about 5s before the next few drops of rain quickly leading to a storm began...
Omegaman1971Support Your Local VillainLive - Laugh - LurkFirst To Find: 188Sidetracked Cache Finds: 137After a long week of work, it's awesome to be out caching with my buddy Rebel Acts. We got an early start to try and beat the rain in the forecast later on.As always, it was a great day of caching. Here's one of the caches we found. Thanks for the cache!
Out and about with omegaman, there are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles. This is one of the caches found today. This took way longer than it should have. Thanks Posums for the cache.
Driving the backroads today picking up some Ad Labs and trads. It's funny how you look at things differently when caching. I have wanted to visit this spot as soon as I saw it. Love the artwork and platypus and found another great reserve too. Thanks Posums for creating for us all to enjoy. Cache in excellent condition. --------------------------------------------------------The nominees for the [**2023 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards** ](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/2023-victorian-cache-of-the-year-awards/) have been announced. The weather forecast was for lots of wind and rain today so my husband and I decided to go geocaching by car instead of doing some hiking. We started with the nearby Adventure Lab and finished the day with some caches in Sunbury.A council truck was parked here and we could hear them clearing vegetation while we performed a quick search and found this cache.Thank you Posums for this cache.
A nice little cache in a nice spot, i bet the views are worth it during daylight. The only trouble i had was caused by the power lines overhead which took out my phone signal. I also realised here that the nearby adventure lab referenced this site as well so i started doing that while here. I was in need of a break from the mundane so packed the geopooch and my caching bag in the car and headed south. I remembered there had been a fair few new caches published in Riddells Creek and surround lately so i thought i would tackle those and just see where i end up. The rolling hills and valleys, alternating tall timber and lush pasture, and the picturesque roads are making for the perfect pick-me-up for my state of mind. A relaxed day finding caches and cruising the area is just what i needed. The Blue Platypus is find number 3,789 for me. A fun micro sized traditional cache I enjoyed finding as one of my caching adventures in Hume City. I am logging this one on Tuesday 27 Aug 2024 at 11:16 pm and the weather is Clear Sky 14C 49% 8 m/s . Thanks for placing this cache for the rest of us to enjoy Posums.*Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
We had a fantastic time at last years event crawl so there was no way known that we were going to miss this one, even though only half the team made the first leg.Today we were heading home after attending the final event and had decided to do the nearby ad lab so of course we had to look for this one as well.Mr Crackers soon had this in hand and we were adding our name to the log. Thanks Posums for the cache.
After leaving the silly oclock Cache Crawl event in Sunbury we headed to the new Labcache to complete inbetween events.Loving all the artwork on the water tanks we made a quick find here in the annoying rain. Thanks Posums for the placement.
It's time for the Great Victorian Cache Crawl 2024!! Accommodation booked, bags packed, supplies stocked, RoamingHowies geovehicle (Tex) filled, caches selected and downloaded, all set for a weekend jam-packed with adventure, conversation, laughs, food and coffee! The first physical cache for the trip. A quick find here while doing the Adlab. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, Posums ~~
When you get to GZ the cache name all makes sense. These murals make things so much more interesting to look at.Quick find, TFTC
Out with a little one who was more interested in bugs. Did see a container on the ground so wondering if it had been disturbed
Out for a drive, we looked at the nearby camels before finding the well hidden cache. Thanks Posums.
With dot558 geocaching home after visiting friends in riddles Creek, Thanks for bringing us here
Today is my dearest nieces birthday. Despite knowing exactly what to get her for her birthday for a few weeks now, time has been in short supply and today was the day to go shopping. I headed to my local shopping centre in Preston with the aim of a quick stop to grab the desired gifts. Low and behold all of the toy shops had the wrong item, and the only department store that did have them, wasnt in this shopping centre. So I contacted Mr Google and the nearest store was out of stock, so looks like it was off to Craigieburn. I guess this is what you get for leaving things to the last minute. With the 30min trip now turning into 2.5hrs, I figured an extra 30 mins to grab this cache wouldnt make a real difference. The CO had mentioned this newest hide to me previously and on arrival at GZ the name made complete sense. What an impressive piece of artwork and a great location for a cache.I made the short search and found the cache hidden away nicely. It was only on my return home that I discovered there was some more artwork nearby. Ill have to make a return visit at some point.A big thanks goes to Posums for taking the time to add The Blue Platypus to the geocaching map for us all to find and enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------The nominees for the [**2023 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards** ](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/2023-victorian-cache-of-the-year-awards/) have been announced. Thanks for the cache Possums, Took alot longer than expected until i worked out i was on the wrong side of the fence, then found it pretty much straight away. Log signed and returned back to its original hiding location. Thanks for the cache!.
I drive past a lot of these tanks and often thought about creating a series, it appears I have been beaten to the punch, though in all honesty I probably never would have got to it anyway. Was glad to stop and get a close up. Tftc
First find on today's caching run so the gap in my calendar is officially plugged TNLN. TFTC
I was out training for work in Craigieburn today and decided to pop in and see the Blue Platypus. Interesting design and a great use of space on this water tank. A lovely spot indeed. Stamped the log and was happy with my find. TFTC
{FTF}I had just started cooking dinner when I got the Ping. Oh well an FTF will most likely be gone for this new cache I thought. Anyway after dinner I noticed it was still up for grabs. So I grabbed the Geo-dog, jumped in the Geo-mobile and the rest is history. I even hung around for a little while hoping to see Riddell, or another cacher. But it wasn't to be. Really Cool art work here, that certainly brightens the place up.thanks Posums.TFTC.
Well, the new cache alert went off and we contemplated getting in the car and heading out to get it since it was only down the road, but dinner was almost on the table and Mr Riddells says, lets eat dinner first. So we ate dinner, washed the dishes and hopped in the car and headed off to Konagaderra!Hey, whats this, someones already signed the log. Bugger! FTF gone! Missed it by That muchDisappointed, we signed it off, logged online and headed back home. Next time, dinner can wait. Thanks for the cache and the chance for a FTF. We will have to settle for second.
On our way home and noticed this new one out here. Intrigued to see what a platypus and a possum are up to up in the hills. Thanks for placing this here and showing us this great artwork.
