Out and about with familysteiner on WAGB24. Grabbing some smilies of course Tftc
Find 10 of 33 on our last day in Augusta for WAGB. We almost cleared the map with a walk above the inlet, a drive out to Cape Leeuwin and a bike ride around Augusta township, before driving out to make a start on the Holland Track. An excellent day to round off WAGB, so thanks to all the COs for their efforts in creating, placing and maintaining these caches.Happy to be on mountain bikes on this surface. Quality caches along the trail, and so nice to see an accessible trail through the bush this close to town. All good here.
In Augusta for the WAGB 2024 celebrations. With most cachers on their way back to Perth, it is time for us to clean up some of the caches we didnr have time to fund during the event. Thanks to the COs for placing these caches and adding to another fun day.
Today is day three of the WAGB weekend - Sunday. The day started with a sunrise event at the Old Town Jetty in Augusta , what a beautiful start to the day and certainly a fantastic location , it was a pleasant surprise to see that many people so early and it was actually quite mild. After collecting a nearby cache with twenty other geocachers we made our way to the Bakery to fill up before a full day of geocaching. We then headed out of town to the Holland Track series . We paired up again with the Pommie Parkins which made it a very enjoyable morning. Wow the range of caches, was fantastic , so much time, effort and imagination has been put into this series and we are very grateful to the Poods for organising and maintaining this series , we gave each one a favourite point . We actually bumped into Pood at one of the caches they had been on a maintenance run which was nice . There were also several other geocaching combinations along the way. The bush around here is very enjoyable and there are lots of wildflowers out and also lots of bird life everywhere. After collecting this series we set our minds on the nearby challenge caches and just the two of us headed there. We had qualified for 8 of the 11 and we only like to collect them once we have qualified so we collected eight and a traditional before making our way back into Augusta for more geocaching. We complete part of the Monopoly Series headed to the view and also had a nice walk at the end of the day to collect the Scooter Fun caches . Now just the CITO and the pub dinner event to go . All in all another wonderful day of geocaching .
My first time at WAGB. This is the first morning in Augusta. I had 23 found, 1 DNF and joined 3 events today. Thanks to all the people who placed the cache and arranged the events. The scooter fun series was challenging, and my GPS was jumpy in this area. I met several fellow geocachers in this series. I missed Scooter Fun 7 unfortunately.

An early start in Augusta with an event at sparrows! We ventured for something warm after a chilly event we cleaned up a few remaining caches around town and on the outskirts before the boys headed off towards Albany where we made some detours to find some FTFs on the Bibbulmun track which we had researched prior to the day for what was easy enough to get to from the road. A great day out and thanks for the fun.
What a midweek getaway to Augusta. Multiple finds, some new ones placed, a boat trip and a storm or two. Followed by multiple stories to last, early mornings for no real reason and only a few DNFs spread across the South West. Thanks to the local COs for their efforts in hiding and maintaining what we found.
After a VERY early morning event I set off for day 3 of my Augusta trip. Grabbing caches along the way. Many thanks ringtailposs for placing this hide for me to find and adding to my adventures. Apologies for the generic logs.
Found at 12:38 PM GAFF1.GPSr took a while to catch up and so overshot by about 18 metres. Returning on foot I spotted the likely hiding spot and there it was - just as expected and just how we like it Thanks to ringtailposs
Found it. TFTC ringtailposs. Spent the weekend in and around Augusta and teamed up with papillion367, ullyssia and meme28. Logs were signed as PUMPP. The weather was not good but the team was great. Most were found in reasonable time but there were a few that proved to be a bit more difficult . All were replaced as found.

Decided we needed a drive so checked what caches were around the area that we hadnt found. Noticed a couple of FTFs still available at Augusta, but with some DNFs, we werent confident. Arrived at GZ and after a short search located cache about 13m away. Happy to record a *FTF*. TFTC Ringtailposs.
Searched high and low, at gz, near gz, and widened the search area, no finds here today
