This was meant to be a fun cache, to test cachers abilities to find a cache in a public space, their tenacity, and perseverance. It actually wasn't meant to be that hard to find, and im surprised it was never located, the 4/4 rating was for...Difficulty 4... in finding an ultra small nano while atop a 7m rock wallTerrain 4... in overcoming the height factor, and that the attachment location was at top of a 7m wall.Apologies to weredunn4 for their time, and others, spent searching at GZ... I was going to post a better hint before the harassment and bullying started.Sadly, given the sad state of one person's bullying antics, and the subsequent rent-a-crowd joining in the chorus, along with the harrassment in messenger service, this is archived for someone else to place a cache here. When I go to remove the attachment device today, yes it was still there, just the wet log removed, I'll remove the old archived cache also. So there's no confusion and removes the temptation to log a find here "cos they found something" at GZ, ala Hunting Ryan. Some have said I should be the bigger man and not react the above baiting tactics, well the childlike gossip takes it toll eventually.. they win! The only losers here are those whom already searched for this, unlike the bullys whom never bothered, but rather would be keyboard warriors... some of whom have never even hidden a cache for others to get smileys!AdiosPS... all other forum like posts have been deleted by Groundspeak or myself, which may make the reviewer note, whilst justified, seem out of place... which it wasn't at the time.
Sorry to have to tell you but your cache needs some work. We were not able to carry out any repairs. May be next time.
Checking upon this tonight, in anticipation of a repeat of found logs on Ryan.Found that it's not as watertight as I would've liked, and wet inside. So have removed the cache for repair/replacement... as don't have the necessary equipment with me to repair/replace tonight. Will be back next week.Happy caching
Checked on this tonight... I didnt find it in the dark! Logbook is still blank...Yes, I thought I'd give this one a 3rd (and probably final) attempt at about 9pm on a still and moonlit night, after Hurtles maintenance run I believe.Took the secret weapon (geowife) along and we both searched the wall for 60mins climbing up and down the ladder and very carefully inspecting every area around GZ with a strong headtorch, particularly where the recent bedsheet was placed during the MegaGot a few toots from motorists, and even had the popo stop mid-roundabout with red & blues flashing and ask us what we were looking for and asked us to be careful climbing tall ladders in the dark - chatted to them for about 2mins - turns out one of the officers has done some geocaching tooThought I really gave this one a thorough search - checked the area very carefully - wiggling wires, looking everywhereNothing.Total search time 2hrs 55mins:(
We came, we saw, we conquered..our fear of heights and falling off ladders! Thats an hour of our lives we will never get back.
Arriving late into Adelaide tonight after spending the weekend at Capital GeoBash, it was time for another night assault on this one. Tweety2 & I spent over an hour scouring the walls on my parents borrowed ladder, and all we found was the original cache. Once again no luck for us.
Sitting at our accommodation for the night with Tweety2 thinking it was almost bedtime but that FTF is still sitting on the map, maybe we should go and have a look. We came, we looked, we did not find maybe next time. Bloody Nanos! Spawn of satan. Burn down the Nano factory, and exterminate anyone who sells Nanos.
Sigh. Too hard will maybe put this in the same category as Ryan at Mawson Lakes. Perhaps the CO should consider having this independently verified.
Oh yeah and FYI: the sheet is gone.(All of you people not logging your DNFs will know this already) The council probably does a clean off every few months or something, dunno why they need to be party poopers & take stuff down.I suppose they look tatty after a while. Still council should have left it there ! Mutter mutter
Would anyone who owns a ladder & who loves being tormented by nano caches like to come looking for this with me? Call me 0434 626 755
You pwned us n00bs.We will return.Look look look. You are only as good as your next find. Thanks and clear skies from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!
Thought I'd give Hunting Ryan v2...oops Giggle Gulch Gallery Glory another go this evening as its close to home, armed with the 5m ladder and a head torch, but alas, unable to find a cache. Was concentrating on the area right around GZ, carefully peering in all the cracks of the rocks, with 19 ascents of the ladder done over a 45 minute duration, but only managed to find the archived Giggle Gulch Gallery (twice).Amazing how many cable-ties/pieces of string/shoelaces are still on the wiring too (from holding up banners) - dozens of them.Had nobody stop and ask me what I was doing tonight. Maybe the motorists are now used to a middle-aged gent clambering over the rock wall in the darkness :p Total search time for this cache = 1hr 55mins
Saw this newly published cache close to home so went out under the cover of darkness, armed with a headlamp and a 5m ladder. Thought the road would be quietish at 9:15 at night, but it was busier than a turnstile at the cricket on dollar-day. Had 2 cars stop and ask me what I was looking for Spent 1hr 10mins here, making 27 ascents of the ladder (thats 54 scans of the wall up and down) but just couldnt find it.I did however find the archived cache Giggle Gulch Gallery https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GCXAZR which was archived back in 2008 and found once in 2012 (exactly 12 years ago to the day) . Noted that several seasoned cachers made 3 and 5 attempts to find this one too - soooo many hiding places. Was cool to read through the names on the logbook.Putting a watch on this one and will have to make another attempt another day.A fun outing anyway!
