We haven't been to Morrinsville for a long time, so there was a build-up of unfound caches. The was first on our list. The rain was threatening, but we thought we could find, sign, and get back to the car in time. On approach, we were surprised to find this cache on the ground out in the open. Signed and replaced up and under, but wasn't sure exactly where it should be. We only just got back to the car before the rain. Thanks for the placement.

I found it in the rain, Im now wet, dirty but pleased I found it! Safe to say the cache is not waterproof and the paper inside is very wet

29-Feb-24
Decided to pick this one up today - it is damp and ripped as I was pulling it out unfortunately but theres still space to write in it. I hope Im wrong but I doubt that this cache will last over winter in its current position as this area floods every winter. The originalplacement was probably a safer option! TFTC

21-Feb-24
Nice and easy

21-Feb-24
Easy find

Went for a riverside walk this evening. Weve previously picked up most of the caches in the area. As this is a relatively new one, this was our first chance to go after it. A reasonably quick find. #7023. TFTC.

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... Our big focus was on attending this months instalment of (February) 18@18. We timed our run into Hamilton to begin in the early afternoon, and we cached along a circuitous corridor into the event. This cache proved to be quite frustrating for us. The new location puts this cache under a bridge with low clearance - Fine if you have the body shape of a broomstick or Twiggy. We were unable to contort our 'muscular' frames into a position where we could do this one justice. We searched thoroughly around the outside and were resigned to the fact that this one was a bust. On the verge of walking away, a couple approached and assumed we were caching, like them. We told them that we were actually there to admire the scenery... In short, nimble new friend retrieved the cache quickly. This one is not really for those built like a proverbial brick outhouse... Thanks suptommy911. TFTC.

**#20,676**By reading the subsequent logs after us, it seems we were lucky to have struck the "easy find" location of the cache, we were contacted by cachers trying to find it but we were confused why it was such a difficult one as we found it really quickly, the change of the hide by the CO now makes sense as to why our friends had trouble finding it.

Did a trip back home to Morrinsville to pick up a bunch of caches today, it was pretty wet out which meant there were less people out. Been awhile since I'd been here and the area was all changed but still a quick find TFTC

Choose a cooler day for an excursion over to Morrinsville. Was a little rainy as we walked across the park but overall a decent day to be outdoors. One or two people out, mostly walking dogs. A quick find in the end. TFTC

Joint [FTF] 12.28pm. Sunday morning, planning our day when the alert for the new cache in Morrinsville came through. Rattll and I looked at each other, made the decision to go and find it with just "shall we?" Hopped in the geomobile and on our way, keeping an eye for any new logs as we traveled. Arriving at Holmwood Park, still no finds. We jogged along the path to GZ, spotted the hiding spot, and rattll made the find very quickly. Very pleased to find a blank log. Returned as found, hopefully won't be seen too easily by casual passers-by. Tftc!

Matagouri and I were just discussing what caches to go for today when this new cache popped up. A brief discussion followed about a trip to Morrinsville, and before I knew it, the dog was getting biffed out of the house, doors and windows getting slammed shut and we were grabbing shoes on the way out the door.A bit of a road detour slowed us down a little, but we were soon approaching GZ. The hint made for a super quick find, and we were signing a nice clean strip of paper. Thanks for setting this up and for the joint (FTF) with matagouri.
