Knowing we were going to be passing by here today on our trip to Violet Town, I thought I might have a go at some of these Elementary# LBH puzzles as I like LBHs and I like puzzles. At GZ we quickly honed in on GZ where youngest geokid climbed up to make the grab where, once again, a LBH cache had no stamp. That's disappointing as we collect those and we are so far 0/2. TFTC, my_name_jeff_1.#2030

For my last day off of my annual leave, I decided to head to Goulburn for the CITO. Of course I went and found other caches that have been on the to-find-list for far too long. I found 25 caches today which all had various different cache types, containers, hides and D/T ratings. I started off finding the caches along Lerida Rd before heading into Goulburn for a few more caches and of course the CITO. The CITO was great fun as well. I also enjoyed the catch up with everyone and spending a bit of time finding a few caches together. Most were easy finds but a few were a difficult to get in hand plus I also had one DNF. I enjoyed my day out and now time to head home. TB visit on all found caches. A big thanks to the CO for adding this cache to game for the Geocaching community to enjoy. Big Grin TFTE & TFTCs! Headed out this morning with ilookgeo, but not early as the ground was rather frosty and crisp. All the caches along this road were easily spotted and retrieved. Both names were soon added to the log. This one was located at about the right height. Thanks for this cache go to my_name_jeff_1 for placing this cache.

Went for a short drive today with goingplaces2 and picked up some caches along the way. Had no trouble making the finds. Saw lots of sheep and kangaroos along the way. TFTC.

I have to say that I was very pleased to be able to solve all but one of this series. That one, I had to seek some assistance. I decided to have a look at them when I knew that we would be in the general area of a number of them. Those that we looked for, were all found in good condition and with great coords.Thank you for adding to this fun addiction of ours.

GT37 and I had a great week of caching with Team Crackers and The Drovers in and around the Bathurst area. On the way back, we decided to do some more of the numerous caches around this area. We attempted mainly caches that we had solved although we did do some others after taking the wrong road.GT37 solved these a couple of nights ago so we looked for, and found, any that we came across. Coords were great and all finds in good condition. Thanks for placing this series for all to enjoy.

Having worked out some coordinates last week, I made a detour during my usual Sunday night commute and headed to GZ. Unable to spot anything from the ground via torchlight, I placed the TOTT in the most likely spot and ascended to have a look, and serendipitously, the container was quickly located. Thanks for the cache my_name_jeff_1

It's not often I get the opportunity to get to a GGGT, so when I was free to actually get up the highway to get there, #94 and #95 just happen to be my first. Better late than never! With KittyKatch, Contesta, LuckyL10n and Albida, we set off in the afternoon with some letterbox caching along the way. The afternoon of caches went very quickly, and a 'one last cache' that had us the wrong side of the tracks, or the right side really for the barriers to stop us and wait for the train to pass and keep passing... it was a longer train than expected, and a bit of fun watching it wondering when it would even end! We arrived at the CITO to be greeted by a very large group. Where it was good to catch up, although not too cold, it was nice to head inside into the warmth. It was a great evening of good company and conversation - and the lamb cutlets were definitely as good as I have been hearing about! I'm glad I've finally managed to get there and looking forward to trying to get back to another. Thanks for the cache!

Find # 12075Keen to attend as many of the mid-week Goulburn events as I can and so I was glad to join KittyKatch, albida33, LuckyL10, and aquillis for a spot of caching along the way.Today we were targeting some letterboxes and a challenge. Short days with fewer daylight hours means less time for caching but we did well.Thought this find might be a challenge but not so. All caches located, retrieved, signed, and replaced. Thanks my_name_jeff_1 for It's Elementary # 05 and this nice little series

#19541 - 5:10:00 PM; Received an invitation to join albida33 for a caching run to Goulburn to attend a CITO and a catchup event for tea with our newlywed cachers afterwards. The plan was to collect some newer LBH caches which were not far from the major roads to our destination, along with a couple of others along the same stretch. We were joined by Kittykatch who performed driving duties with Contesta and Aquilus1 following behind. All up we managed 11 caches prior to the two events once we reached Goulburn. All were found in good condition and returned as found after the logs were signed. TFTC my_name_jeff_1 Smile

With lots of amazing events and activities over the past two months, it has been quite some time since an afternoon outing to Goulburn for dinner. This situation was rectified today and plans were made for some late afternoon caching before joining in for the pre-dinner CITO in Belmore Pk. I joined Kitty Katch, Aquillus, Contesta and LuckyL10n to tackle the newish series of Elementary puzzles, west of Goulburn. We had no trouble finding them, even if some of them had creeped from there advertised locations. As we went for the required just one more, not only had it become dark, but we had to wait for a train to get back on the highway, all very exciting. We managed to find two caches here, one reachable from the ground and one where it was supposed to be, but not an original container. Thanks for the cache my_name_jeff_146300.2 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 10000 Finds A#252**Albida**

Next, I headed out to this letterbox. The tether was quickly spotted, but I realised that I would need a Tott from the geomobile. Once I had that, the cache was soon in hand and my name added to the log. With everything returned as found, I continued on my way. TFTC

After a busy few days in Canberra for the Capital Geo Bash mega event, I spent a night in Goulburn before slowly making my way back home to Adelaide. I have been targeting solved puzzles caches and any high Difficulty or Terrain caches. In the morning I tackled this Its Elementary trail which were solved without too much trouble. All were found without problems. A good mix of Terrain levels here too which was good fun. TOTT was required for me and the cache was found without problems. Day #6 Geobashing After a late night dash for a FTF, we were unprepared at the time for some of the other nearby caches so a group of us returned to finish them this morning.OZHockeyChick and I then spent the rest of the day touring the northern part of Canberra and into NSW, picking up all sorts of targeted caches.A short climb to grab this one. A weekend of caching, labing, laughter, fun, and adventure with my great mates The Rats and Steeba. Just want I needed! A weekend like this is good for the soul.We headed from Wollongong to the Canberra Mega, via many caches and Labs along the way. We had a 48 hour early Easter window of opportunity that we needed to exploit! As always the banter was excellent, and the caching secondary to that. We found a lot of excellent caches, and this boiler plate log should not detract from them in any way.Thank you to all of the cache hiders, and the event committee.Cheers

Rolling on to the next cache. The trip bit.Easter geocaching festival of twenty twenty four. This time it is the turn of Oz Mega GeoBash MEGA event in the nation's capital. It is time for a road trip across country to Canberra in the Sporty Pajero Sports. Freddo and Gridge98 traveling from Adelaide via a strange inland route that takes in scenic rural locations, dusty roads, punctured tyres, overheating batteries, various tools of the trade, special campgrounds, and lots scope for many many geocaching finds. Along the way we saw running emus, jumping kangaroos, wandering deer, dead foxes, herds of wooly sheep and stray steers.Arriving in Canberra we met our colleagues e.gregory1, featherwaite, team walron, courtney rose, davidwazza, e_smilie, and georode, signing as ABP, plus a huge group of other like minded excited mega geocachers attending event after event, and more events.Day one. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Found and signed dsd on a cold dark night.

04-Feb-24
DSD mentioned that he was planning to grab some new letterbox caches up near Goulburn sometime "before sunrise".I couldn't let him go alone, but didn't finish work until 11:15pm! I always have plenty of energy after late night shifts however, so agreed to a spontaneous night time adventure! We left Canberra at 11:40pm and didn't return until 3:30am! We managed to get 12 caches in total though, as we decided to find the rest of the caches along the same trail as the ones that had come out! Three of these had blank logs, and two we were beaten by a Goulburn local! Oh, and to make things even more interesting we BOTH forgot to bring a torch...! So the whole expedition was done by phone light! Thanks my_name_jeff_1!

Cache 10928 on 28 Jan 2024. TikvaNZ, ZQX and I had already planned to grab a couple of caches in this series early this morning and so were pleasantly surprised to see a couple more of the series published last evening! We did not change plans, just headed out as planned. All the LBHs were quickly solved. I scored 6 caches for the morning and back home in time for a late breakfast! A small tree, but a ladder used all the same. Quick retrieve after ladder partly deployed. Thanks my_name_jeff_1 for the cache and the fun!

I had an absolutely fabulous day thanks to Domskys, who even picked me up from home to go after some very challenging Challenge caches. We were joined by barb2e and Isopeda for a pretty full-on day. Although originally the aim had been the challenge caches, we were soon tempted to change plans and try to get a FTF. That didn't quite work out, but 2nd TF is not to be sneezed at. We then continued on, grabbing a handful of various caches that seemed to get in our way. But then, who's complaining? TFTC that was found quickly, and the log was signed. Thanks again to Domsky's for demonstrating her climbing prowess.

#4601 3.36pm. I had been procrastinating working all day. A couple of trips out and about to run some errands and a bit of caching on the side. Finally home a bit after 2pm and this trio were still up for grabs some 6 hours after being published.Jumped on the PC and calculated some final coords before hitting the road. Once again, any excuse not to work! With just over an hour on the road ahead of me I was still in for a shot at [FTF].That last 20km seemed to take forever but was finally within range of my goal.Pulled over fairly close to this spot and walked on over through the grass, being sure to scan for any undesirables of the bitey type. Reached GZ and took a look around the object in my vicinity. It was at this point that I realised that attributes are put there for a reason. Once I spotted the cache I assessed my chances of heading up unaided and was happy that I had the work ute and equipment at my disposal nearby.Hey, thats what tools are for. So grabbed the most suitable one and made the retrieval.Maybe I can consider it to be work if a work tool was used! Cheers jeff_1!!
