After doing the Fairy Falls trip, came to this one on the way home. Would be great if the council opened the Old Coach Road so that Fairy Falls could be a loop. TFTC

After seeing some new caches in this area on Fairy Falls Track a plan was hatched for some Team SEAC to head out for another one of our adventures. After completing those we continued along the road for some more (and a bit of a rest for the legs!) Nice quick find here. Thanks for the cache.

We headed out west today for the walk to Fairy Falls. What a lovely walk it was - but those stairs!!! Beautiful falls after all the rain over the past few days, luckily it was dry today. As we headed home we stopped along the way for the caches we passed. Here today with a number of Team SEAC - stik-a-crane, keylev, nursedr, fifinz, cragger. Signed as SEAC to save space. A nice quick find here.

Yet another team SEAC adventure with stikacrane, Kelylev, hemaludy and fifinz on what we thought would be a dry day after all the rain. Fingers crossed, so far weve stayed dry. TFTC Signed SEAC

Out today, driving, instead of walking for caches. This cache was on the route so, of course, we had to stop.It was a quick and easy grab, to get the cache and not a muggle around. Tftc #1774

Theres nothing like a systema container to accurately record the annual rainfall in any given area. This one was no exception. I still managed to sign it after emptying cache. Tftc

We had noticed this new trail of caches pop up, so when Team Welsh suggested an excursion today we happily agreed. We made a plan to tackle the caches from the Swanson end, being closest to home. But when we realised there was an event up here today at 1pm we revised the plan to start and finish at the Forest Hill Rd end. Thanks for making the planning (and parking) easy by labelling the caches L and R!We drove to the end of this little side road, and drew the attention of the locals. One was clearly not expecting any other cars on his road as he started to pull out of his driveway in front of us without checking the road. Then he sat there in his car to check what we were up to. Once at GZ the cache was a very quick find which was lucky, as a woman came down her driveway (in her pyjamas!) to check up on us. She assumed we were checking out whether the nearby track was open, and kindly told us that she had heard that the Cascades track had recently opened. We thanked her for her help and moved on. TFTC.

Did these caches along here with some caching buddies , it was very enjoyable. I like caching on my own to, but having company to can be enjoyable for a change .I need to try and peel away from TikTok and YouTube posting , and try and make some proper friends theres a whole world out there somewhere waiting for me . All the caches along here were well placed, thought out , and reasonably enjoyable to do , so many thanks for placing TFTC Nice cache

The lady who lives in the house at the end of this road came out just after we had made the find and was nice and chatty about the walks in the area. Will be wonderful when all the tracks are reopened. No problems here, TFTC

Haven't been up this little side road for a while. Unfortunately the track from the end still closed, boy, aren't the council slack for not getting onto these tracks! 6 years and counting.... anyway, no problem with the hide, I got Charlie out of the car here for a little sniff around, she's such a good little doggie and this is a safe area for her to walk around. The neighbour was hanging around probably curious or nosey as to what I was doing here, but I was able to sniff out the cache just out of sight from him, I sat down and played with the doggie until he got tired and buggered off, then I was able to return the cache. I love the history here of Old Coach Rd, for all we know it may have been the route taken by horses back in the day when people came up from the Falls hotel in Henderson to come and visit Waitakerie falls (now at the dam but before the dam was built). Obviously Mountain Rd now exists nearby for cars, but now this is partly closed due to slips. Thanks rusty for the hide.Add an imageUpload image

MrsJag had the day off work and was about to start painting when her phone alerted her to new caches out west. After contacting SN a plan was made to meet up and find this new series of caches. Bring a week day there wasnt much traffic about today. We parked very close to gz and the cache was located in the first place we looked. Wonder if this track will ever be open again?TFTC and joint {FTF} with SN
