Solved this a few weeks ago so on the list to collect on our Sunday afternoon drive and explore Fairy Falls area. TFTC
We were hoping to try do more mystery caches but we are finding most really hard. After some searching we managed to work this out, that was a while ago but we had not come to find it yet, today as we walked up from the event we collected this one too. I really liked how the cache moved once we had figured it out on my map! This car park is so busy with folks walking to the fairy falls. Thank you for this mystery! Fun!TFTC
After seeing some new caches in this area on Fairy Falls Track a plan was hatched for some Team SEAC to head out for another one of our adventures.Had managed to solve this quickly, thankfully! Nice quick find here. Thanks for the cache.
Yet another team SEAC adventure with stikacrane, Kelylev, hemaludy and fifinz on what we thought would be a dry day after all the rain. Fingers crossed. TFTC Signed SEAC
The fairy falls track was the drawcard today, and we noticed this mystery cache in the area, so made sure we solved it before we came here. Thanksfully it was solved without too much trouble. Here today with a number of Team SEAC - stik-a-crane, keylev, nursedr, fifinz, cragger. A nice quick find here.
In the area today with the SEAC caching group of HeMaLuDy, NurseDr, Keylev, FefeNZ, with the goal to walk the,Fairy falls trail.. . The silve had been worked through on this mystery cache and managed the find whilst the muggles were all at the falls TFTC.
After hearing that the Fairy Falls Track was reopening this weekend I headed out there today and solved this puzzle before setting off. Unfortunately GZ was too muggly on my 3 separate visits today, so I'll leave it for another time!
A solo excursion for Mr Coblet. After a DNF here a few weeks ago I was pleased to see the cache had been replaced.I was nearby walking some of the tracks near the Waitakere Dam so before heading home I headed over to turn this one into a smiley. There was a car parked nearby but no one was in sight and I was pleased to make a nice quick find. Thanks Rustynz for another great cache in the series and a puzzle I was able to solve
No luck here today. Things look quite tidy at GZ so it may have been removed in a clean up.We will be back sometime to try again.
No luck here, but a great place to come to if you want to dump rubbish or burn out your stolen Toyota Aqua after a ram raid.
I went to Fairy Falls with my brother, years ago. Those steps down, and then back up, almost killed me! But we did see an eel in a pool on the way down. I would love to go back one day.A quick puzzle to solve, I spotted the clues the fairies left as I read through it. And an easy find at GZ, although the log is a bit delicate and was starting to disintegrate. Loved the fairy on the side of it, that's one way to remember which cache is which.
We had noticed this new trail of caches pop up, so when Team Welsh suggested an excursion today we happily agreed. We made a plan to tackle the caches from the Swanson end, being closest to home. But when we realised there was an event up here today at 1pm we revised the plan to start and finish at the Forest Hill Rd end. Thanks for making the planning (and parking) easy by labelling the caches L and R!This puzzle was one of the caches that alerted us to the series, and was solved on publication. And another easy find too, thanks.
A nice easy puzzle solve and found with Avoyager and The Wonderstuff on our way to the Cascades
Was wonderful to come out here with Kiwicouple to find all the UR caches. This was solved on publication so great to be able to sign it off today. No problems with the cache and a nice straight forward find. TFTC
Nice quick solve of the puzzle. In the area today & made a nice quick find. [TFTC]
So excited to see these new puzzles and multis pop out yesterday afternoon.Spent the evening Solving...then today came up today with Jan for the finds! This was by far the easiest one to solve....Thanks for the fun rustynz.
?? I had just been to rusty's cache, a mystery one on the Scenic Drive and now I wanted to solve this puzzle, unfortunately it was raining and I had deep cloud all around me. So reception anywhere was zilch, so unlike Mrs Jag50 who solved the puzzle at home, I had to race up Pukematekeo summit and get reception there, while there I tried in vain to get the info for the C.O's multi but the plaque was no longer there. So back into my sisters car I went to keep warm and stay out of the rain.?? I solved the info pronto (no need for a checker here, solution very obvious rusty) and raced off to GZ, just got out of the car and walked to GZ in the drizzling rain, had the cache in hand and who do I see arrive? It was Mrs Jag50, now I know she was hot on the trail for caches tonight and sure enough she said she had found this one. No worries.... so signed in as 2nd to find under her name, all good. Nice to see you Mrs, but while we were chatting the rain really got heavy, time to depart. Thanks rusty for the hide. Enjoyed the puzzle too.
MrsJAG was in the middle of cooking dinner when the phone pinged alerting of new caches. They werent too far away, so in between cooking, the cache was soon solved. After dinner, MrsJAG set off to find the cache, having to take the long way as scenic road is partially blocked off. It was a rainy night, and in my haste to get out the door, forgot to grab my raincoat. Fortunately it was a very fine drizzle once I arrived at gz, and could park very close to gz. A nice quick find and was pleasantly surprised to find the log blank. Thanks Rusty for a fun puzzle and an excuse to get out of the dinner dishes. Thanks for the {FTF} funReturning towards home and passing this spot, I noticed a car but did not recognize it. However seeing there was someone at gz, I stopped to see who it was. Nice to bump into you tonight Gorby. The rain started to get heavier, so time to go home.
