Quickly found the hint item in the long grass, and was soon signed in before continuing along the trail on foot, TFTC
Today I went for a wee bike ride around the oxbow in the river just to the east of the town.Nope, I wasn't but it was a bit of a tight squeeze just after the cache.Cheers for the cache, Natalie247.
With Gap (of Fap and Gap) Were here for Geo Toroa (Dunedin Mega). Between flight cancellations and re-routing, things could only get better, right? But wait, theres more! Somewhere on our caching escapades, I dropped my wallet (Tuesday) Its still at large, so if anyone finds itOne of us usually drives, the other is the retriever. That works for us. Weve either logged caches with our separate handles, or weve used FANGS to sign the logbook. Using the latter handle is more for mental health and well being. Its tiring having to write 15 + characters on each logbook Taking the rural, scenic route today - From Allanton to Balclutha. When we saw the mass of trads dotted along a network of forestry roads, it was agreed that we would give that trail a whirl. It was definitely excellent for numbers All of the caches were in great shape. We were impressed with spot on coords and caches that were freshly checked. It was encouraging to meet one of those COs performing maintenance on the trailQuick find. Thanks Natalie247. TFTC.
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I live full-time in our caravan travelling around NZ, visiting the places we want to visit & doing the things we want to do and fitting in a bit of Geocaching here & there we were passing through Balclutha & decided to stop & stretch our legs by going for a walk there is obviously a motocross track or similar nearby, but was quiet today this ended up being an easy find, log book completed & then safely returned to its position were pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally TFTC ... TN:LN:LS this was #6,204 for us!
We recall visiting this location for the previous cache, and today the new one was a quick easy find. TFTC
Nice collections of small toys for kids to find. We took a tag from Tauranga, our first tag find. Thank you.
I had a trad dot day so combined it with my need to get some attributes for a challenge. All good with the cache. Nice and dry.
We were here a couple of years ago for the previous cache - fewer thistles to negotiate this time! Enjoyed the writeup about the railway bridge, especially since Mr D is related to the Blairs. The Chain Hills tunnel was the most difficult part and the last segment of the Dunedin to Clutha line to be finished - only just within the contract deadline. Here's hoping it gets re-opened for public transport soon!
Wow, loved those pne, cool treasures inside, we will add to it next time we come by
Great day for a trip south, caching on the bike, nice warm day on the trail Many Thanks. - Bitsprayer
Had planned to come down last weekend for the new caches here and then realised a round of the NZ Motocross Championships was being held here. Loads of muggles. So waited a week. TFTC.
Found with dad. Some guys were riding on the motocross track on Hondas which pleased dad. I thought I saw a KTM but dad couldn't. He said it had probably done what KTMs do best and broken down round the back of the track. Dad doesn't like orange bikes. TFTC.
Made the long walk after leaving Mrs D to solve the maze puzzle. Cache all good. TFTC
[FTF] Was in the area, knew this cache was published just a few days ago, so checked the app to see if anyone had claimed a find on it yet ... nothing logged so I stopped by ... not to be deterred by the rain and wind, I donned my raincoat and beanie and took a walk. Once at GZ it was a quick find. Happy to find that the big container is full of swag, always adds interest, enjoyed having a fossick through, took nothing but added a little something of my own to the goodies . And even happier to see a blank log book . The sun came out in time for my walk back and the view was so nice at this spot by the river that I took a snap to share before heading back to the truck. Tftc.
Out with the CO while checking and putting out these caches. Not a ftf. TFTC Natalie247
