Marshalls Geelong found this cache today,Quick easy find. Nice drive by. TFTC
Nice easy drive by. Due to a truck roll over near inverleigh, the traffic was very regulated. You'd get a huge convoy and then nothing for 5 minutes, made stopping, finding and getting back on the road very easy on this long weekend.
Quick find while I stop to stretch my legs on a work trip to Bolwarra. Nice & easy with a great view. TFTC!
Heading back up to Portland with Cracker Girl we decided to break the drive up with a cache on the way where we could easily park with a camper van and this was it. We headed off to GZ and were impressed with the views. We have caught glimpses of it through the trees driving along the road but this is the first time that we have stopped to look from this angle. The cache itself was found after a short search and we added our names to the log book and returned everything as found. Many thanks H_3 for the cache and information on the cache page.
Driving to Portland with Team Crackers we decided to make Cressy a good stop for lunch and picked up this cache. This mural had caught my attention driving home the weekend before as I have driven this road for many years and this was the first time that I had spotted it. The cache was located in the first place we looked and our names quickly added to the log book. Thanks H_3 for the cache and the information on the cache page.
At last, a clear day we can get out into the field and do some caching. North and west of our personal GZ today. Hadn't been up this way for a while, and it showed by the number of caches still unfound! We were muttering about "what water tower", but then we saw it in the distance. We also found the cache while looking at the view. Left a geonickel. Many thanks to the CO for this cache.
Found by Mary and David at 16:20. A quick find - a FP for bringing us here to see the impressive art work on the Tower. Our thanks to H_3.
Heading down to Portland for a few days, I picked a few well spaced caches to break my journey.. Nice quick find here once the GPS settled. My thanks to H_3 for the cache.
We made the short walk in and the youngest monster made short work of finding it. TFTC!!
An amazing alternative view of the tower, with room to pull-off the highway and park safely
Today we set off early for the Otway's to enjoy the beautiful scenery and claim the 3 latest caches since our last visit. It turned out we couldn't access Lorne due to a stupid bike race that did not finish until 1pm. So we headed back to Winch and through to Cressy to inspect the latest murals. The back was certainly our favourite, in our mind they should have had this one on the street view. At GZ we wandered around a bit until the male Triton exclaimed, 'I've got it".Thanks H_3 for the different perspective of this fine artwork.
Leaving Ballarat today and heading to Colac area for a few nights before heading to Geelong for the end of my trip
Date: 17 February 2024 Time: 12:03 pmFind #14378Today was a big day, a 5:40am wakeup and out the door by 6am headed for a parkrun at Bannockburn Bush first up at 8, followed by a few local caches. I then came up with the crazy idea to attempt to get my Colac Otway LGA cache count to 20. It started at just 1!Not feeling like doing my intended hike this morning, I headed to Cressy and a nice tour of the town. This one took some finding, I thought the water tower was missing too. Then in a flash I spotted both the tower AND the cache.Massive thanks go to H_3 for placing this one.
Thanks to H_3 for this cache. We were heading home after a trip to Ararat and Stawell. This was our second last cache of the trip.Well we found the rather large pothole in the gravel pull off quite unexpectdly. Hit it hard at about 40 kph. All good with the front wheel we hope.Anyway on to the important part, we found the cache and appreciated the view.
Found with McAdies and Geo_Eddie.I liked the hide. Thanks for hiding it for us to find.
On my way to Noorat for work today and decided to make a small detour to collect a couple of hides in Cressy!!Quick and easy park and grab was had here. Good viewing point of the water tower
LumpyR walked straight to GZ but came up empty handed. By the time LumpyJ turned up with the GPS, he'd roamed off looking in other likely places. LumpyJ looked again where he'd been looking and made a very easy find. Tftc
Arrived from Portland for a short holidays. This was published just after an hour drive past Cressy!Came back here for a quick find & lookout the tower. TFTH
[FTF] Nice hide. No view of the tower at night. Will definitely come back for the view during the day. Fltf Tftc
