The final one on our paddle today. We have enjoyed this series immensely with beautiful scenery along the way, peaceful Waters and great birdlife along the way. Time to return to the car now and look for some more adventures on our one day here in Belmont. We are adding a favourite point for this one and for the pleasure we have had from the series in the kayak today. Thanks Team737Domsky
We came up to Newie again this week for about the third weekend in the last four, this time to attend the [HAVOC Flotilla](https://coord.info/GCAZBVQ) event on the Newcastle harbour which was fun. We decided we might set sail up Cockle Creek after the event which was, obviously, a great idea on a day like this! We launched [Lil' Geoff](https://coord.info/TB9QQJD) at the Speers Point boat ramp which was quite busy but we were able to find parking ok after the lineup to put in and off we went for some water caching! This was our first stop where we found the cache in excellent condition with a nice dry log. TFTC and series, team737.#2060
I have been wanting to this kayak cache series since it first got published. But my sister who lives so close at Teralba no longer has kayaks, so I had to bring one up from Sydney. Glad I did as it was a really nice paddle from the mouth of Cockle Creek on Lake Mac up to the weir, finding and signing 15 caches along the way, then paddling back down. TFTC lee737
The End of our little journey. most enjoyable series. all in good order and findable. fav for the series. TFTC.
10.04am last one for the trail today. Easy find. Enjoyed the series and cruising along Cockle Creek. TFTC
#7675Ventured north with [@Purplepeopleater](https://coord.info/PR4X0DC) and [@bella at waggy](https://coord.info/PR5DQ4Z) lured by the Cockle Creek series. Met up at the carpark and organised our car shuffle before hitting the water just before 9am with 2 yaks and a SUP. This was a quick one to get us going.TFTC lee737
An excellent morning with Crash and B@W paddling this marvellously reclaimed creek. All containers were in excellent condition.SL TFTC
Back again to complete this section of the water way. Another nice paddle with little wind. A few took a little longer to spot than others but a good outing on the paddle board. Glad the multi final was not in another section. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
The rain held off on Saturday AM for another great morning on the water.Dropped the kids at karate which gave me the perfect 45 min on the water, plus travel. Stopped here for my (2nd-last) Cockle Creek trad, and did a recce on the nearby Five Islands multi-offset.
Found on 28/4 with Mighty Minions & 2pods. It was a magical Autumn day - sun shining, waters calm & good company. I was rather proud of my first attempt at kayaking as it had all gone rather well. That was until the very end when I tried to get out of the kayak and fell backwards into the lake! Thanks for placing these caches along Cockle Creek.
Our final cache for this series - which we have really enjoyed with Mighty Minions and Goldberry17 on a peaceful sunny autumn day. We came downstream, starting near #12 (qv), which suited us as we mostly had the wind and tide/current with us, leaving us free to devote our minds to the challenges of spotting the prizes. A favourite point from us - for the whole series, really, as it's a great concept and well executed, Team737 - thanks for the series!
Out caching with 2pods and Goldberry17 today. the weather was brilliant, and the water was very smooth. we had lots of laughs, and I really enjoyed the day. the caches were all found with no problems and in good condition. Thanks for the cache lee737 tnln replaced as found sl
After completing numbers 5 to 15 last month, I returned today to attempt the remaining four. Parking was at a premium at Speers Point Park but I managed to find a spot not too far from the boat ramp and soon had the kayak in the water. With a light breeze behind me (which I knew would become a headwind on the way back), I soon reached GZ and spotted the cache. All in excellent condition, the container design is working well. Many thanks for the hide and the series, now on to #2.
This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 13168.A day of paddling with Deni_f and Banj on Cockle Creek this morning. With the tide due to hit high at 8am we made an early start at 7. With two kayaks and one stand up paddle board we covered 11.7km in 3hours 59 minutes. We decided on the way up the creek to just stop at every fifth cache so that we could take the sedate trip back. This was the first cache of the day and we found it quite quickly. Thanks lee737 for the cache.
A great day to be out on the water finding some geocaches. Joined today by Big Matt on a SUP and Deni F in a kayak that an extremely nice bloke borrowed for him to use. This was our first find for the day, we then decided to do caches 5, 10 and 15 on our way upstream and find the rest on our leisurely way back downstream. TFTC
Find #1845After waiting ages to find a 1/3.5 cache I have now found 2 within a km of each. Nice quick find at GZ. Cache and log was in great condition. TFTC
Find No: 9180. Out for a great morning with Yella Belly & shaneo58 , thanks for the cache Team737!!
Launched the old "Yella Belly" today and as I am the Captain I picked up an unlikely crew in shanoe58 as Retriever of caches and Grub Fred as passenger (and secretary) to do the Cockle Creek caches. Well it was a fun trip up the river with nobody falling overboard. caches were well hidden but with keen eyes they were found. Thanks Team737 for the series.
[FTF]. Another cache in the series that you can get by land. And I didn't even get my feet wet with this one. TFTC TEAM737
