Sitting in the stationary boat and logging this one, right underneath the wattle tree which is next to GZ. This gives us a little bit of shade, and of course it makes it easier to read the phone! It was a quick find at GZ, and not too far further upstream. A group of young people were fishing and having a lot of fun. We paddled on the other side of the creek to them so not to disturb their Sunday morning hobby. Thanks Team737Domsky
We came up to Newie again this week for about the third weekend of the last four, this time to attend the [HAVOC Flotilla](https://coord.info/GCAZBVQ) event on the Newcastle harbour which was fun. We decided we might set sail up Cockle Creek after the event which was, obviously, a great idea on a day like this! Our water TOTT of choice today was [Lil' Geoff](https://coord.info/TB9QQJD) which made light work of this trail of caches. It was still mid-morning and the weather was absolutely perfect for enjoying this neat little hobby of ours. A careful approach at GZ rewarded us with another cache which was in excellent condition with a nice dry log. TFTC and series, team737.#2070
I have been wanting to this kayak cache series since it first got published. But my sister who lives so close at Teralba no longer has kayaks, so I had to bring one up from Sydney. Glad I did as it was a really nice paddle from the mouth of Cockle Creek on Lake Mac up to the weir, finding and signing 15 caches along the way, then paddling back down. TFTC lee737
Just a note about the parking WP near #12. The closest you can park a car to this, is about 160M away in Lyons Close. Whilst it does afford a great sandy landing spot. There is a dirt road along the creek here, it is gated, and we could not find a way onto it. We parked at Lyons Cl, and found a spot just down creek of there, bit rocky, bit of a drop down to water level, and 100M from car. We parked the other car at Teralba Amatuer Sailing Club, as we wanted to do the AL as well. Bit of car shuffling, but saved us the paddle both ways.
our first for today, after findin a launch spot. quick find once at gz. glorious morning to be on the water. started at 7 24 so not long after that.
#7686Ventured north with [@Purplepeopleater](https://coord.info/PR4X0DC) and [@bella at waggy](https://coord.info/PR5DQ4Z) lured by the Cockle Creek series. Met up at the carpark and organised our car shuffle before hitting the water just before 9am with 2 yaks and a SUP. Excellent home made containers.TFTC Samuel737
An excellent morning with Crash and B@W paddling this marvellously reclaimed creek. All containers were in excellent condition.SL TFTC
Found on 28/4 with 2pods & MightyMinions. It was the most glorious Autumn day & my first time kayaking. Lots of fun. Thanks for this series of caches.
Up again for weekend work and as I was a little early found an entry point near the tail end for some select caches.Used the paddle board which gave me better height for some but harder to duck for others. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
This was our first find in the series, as we organised a car shuffle and started from the bottom of Ridley St, Edgeworth (coords S 32 55.841 E 151 36.749). This way we had the wind at our backs for the creek, and the tide/current was with us. A choice of two launching places nearby. With Mighty Minions and Goldberry17 (who was in a kayak for the first time!) we headed first up the creek and then down to where we'd left the cars at Teralba. Our group had two sit-on and two sit-in kayaks. It was good to find this prize so close to the start of our trip - TFTC!
Out caching with 2pods and Goldberry17 today. We met nice and early across the way from this cache, after talking to a very kind gentleman who gave us some watermelon. the weather was brilliant, and the water was very smooth. we had lots of laughs, and I really enjoyed the day. the caches were all found with no problems and in good condition. Thanks for the cache Samuel737 tnln replaced as found sl
Decided to drag the canoe all the way to Newcastle so had to make good use of it! Did the cockle creek series and a nearby adventure lab today, not sure if the weather is good enough tomorrow. Good quality made for good fun!TFTC Wilbert67
This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 13172.A day of paddling with Deni_f and Banj on Cockle Creek this morning. With the tide due to hit high at 8am we made an early start at 7. With two kayaks and one stand up paddle board we covered 11.7km in 3hours 59 minutes. Another quick find in the series. Thanks Samuel737 for the cache.
Find#1884After these caches were published I was very keen to get them with all of the different DT ratings. After Banj asked me, Today was the day. Came out with Big Matt also and had an absolutely glorious day finding these caches. I wish I had 15 favourite points as this was such a fun series to do. Matt had calculated that we paddled a little over 11km and a bit over 4hrs in total at a very casual pace Ill add. Thanks for a great series Team 737. Log and cache in good condition. TFTC
A great day to be out on the water finding some geocaches. Joined today by Big Matt on a SUP and Deni F in a kayak that an extremely nice bloke borrowed for him to use.An excellent series. Poor legs and butt getting cramped by now.TFTC
Find No: 9192. Out for a great morning with Yella Belly & shaneo58 , thanks for the cache Team737!!
Launched the old "Yella Belly" today and as I am the Captain I picked up an unlikely crew in shanoe58 as Retriever of caches and Grub Fred as passenger (and secretary) to do the Cockle Creek caches. Well it was a fun trip up the river with nobody falling overboard. caches were well hidden but with keen eyes they were found. Thanks Team737 for the series.
I still had the kayak in the car from the weekend, so this was a quick find while passing by.A park-n-paddle-n-grab, if you will Easy or hard(er) depending on if youre come from upstream or downstream.
Out on the water today starting from the launch point near the railway bridge and heading upstream of there. Approaching GZ, I quickly spotted the branch out over the water but it took me a little time to finally spot the cache. Once I did, though, it was another easy reach and sign. Thanks for the hide and the series, now on to what was, for me, the prime attraction at #13.
