#5 cache today. Great camo and nice quick find here. Had to wait until the muggles left so I could replace the cache. On my way to grab the last cache along here. TFTC
Clever camo, would be hard for a newb, but okay is you are a well seasoned cacher. Thanks for a fun afternoon. Tftc
After doing the ones on the Northern Pathway I decided to fhead westward along SH18 to locate and sign off a few caches. The cache didn't quite spring into hands, I had to coax it out.Cheers for the cache, G-2.
**21,435**Arrived at GZ and soon spotted the Camo'd Cache, we are a little late for spring, definitely winter now, but nice sunny afternoon.Had to take a pic of the cache to share with Mrs Geckoh.
I should always take note of the cache name and description with G2 caches as we were initially looking in the wrong place. I do love these hidden in plain sight caches. FP from me for this one
Didnt spot it at first but then the brain engaged & there it was. Nice camo & defo favourite. [TFTC]
Maplerosenz has gone back to Wellington to think up some more witty logs for when we find a couple of caches in Dunedin later this year, and Daddypig has returned from the Homeland so tonight he has been encouraged to get a bit of exercise along with the geohound. On approach to GZ I thought about where I would have hidden a cache, and for once I was on the same wavelength as the CO. I continued on my way with a bounce in my stride.
Well it was a nice day for a walk and I'd got my first to find for my calendar so I was all set for a relaxing walk along here. I was very surprised by the emptiness of this cycleway. The last cycleway I walked was out by Te Atatu on a drizzly day and it still had quite a few cyclists on it. Guess it's busier here on a workday. I went to the right place first time but missed it. Then checked out a few other potential places before reading the page properly. Then I went back to the original place and found it immediately. A great hide, thanks
Out with a few members of Team SEAC on our bikes today. Sorry for the generic logs. Thanks so much for placing these caches. All logs signed either SEAC or Team SEAC.
Another cool piece of engineering here.....Fav. point given....In the area today with the SEAC group of cachers for a cycle along this newly cache populated cycle way......I had managed to pick the odd on off on previous visits to the area, so today we were going to do the trail in its entirety.....A good variation of cache hides here as expected from this CO, meaning an enjoyable day was had....plus they were all there and in good condition.....Signed in as 'SEAC' to save logbook space as I was joined by Keylev, UncleSamNZ, NurseDr, Laval to name a few.TFTC.
A plan was hatched for available Team Seacers to head over and check out the caches on this new cycleway. NurseDr, UncleSam, Mr Stik-a-Crane, cragger and laval were all keen. The weather was great, company was awesome and caches were of course fantastic!Oooh very nicely done here but it didn't fool us!Thanks for the cache - a fav point.
Nice quick find. Out for a bother cycling adventure with team SEAC along the cycle way. TFTC. Boing.
At first glance I didnt see the cache. Then in perfect timing, Hide cruised past on his bike, hopped off and found it straight away. Now that Im logging it, I see the title so massive duh moment. Great camo here. Fav point given. Thanks G-2.
We drove around to the other half of the SH18 trail and parked up not far from this cache. Made our way here and soon had the cache in hand. Thanks.
Mrs KC drove closer to this group of 3 and we all wandered along the path finding caches. Love the camo here and another great cache placement. Thanks
After finding the third cache in the series we headed to this one, keen to visit a lost spring paradise on this nice sunny morning.Once at GZ we took a moment to take in the view of the spring and the lush grass nearby. Not exactly the paradise we were expecting but any spot with a cache is a geocachers paradise. The container was quite deeply submerged in the spring so was a bit difficult to get to but perseverance paid off and we were soon signing the log.A great hide, thanks G-2.
Out with Jag and Supernannny. We knew what we were looking for so it didn't take long to find.
Part 2 walking the cycle trail with Supernannny and Net61.This was our first cache of the day. This is a very well disguised cache which we spotted on our approach. It was funny to see our names already on the log but good to see the log paper being recycled. Thanks G2 for the cache and smilie
Yay!We knew what to expect before we got here , and we were not disappointed.Blends in soooo well! Thanks G-2
After finding number one, I started my walk back down the hill to access this ground zero. I looked in the right general area to start but missed the goods on the first pass. I think I missed them on the second too. After expanding the search area without success I refocused on my original spot. This time I spotted something that fitted the bill. Yep, it was the cache. Lots of names on the logsheet here; looks like this hide or logsheet has been recycled. I think this was the longest search of the day, which wasn't, honestly, all that long. Right, down to three to complete the set around here. Cheers for the cache placement!
Came down quite late and a number of caches were still showing FTF , so gave it a crack - getting the bike ready was now paying off .Had the bike out now , and decided to hunt down these FTF caches . TNLNSL TFTC FTF Nice one
Looked in a couple of places before settling on something that looked curious. Like this one, nice camo, cheers Glyn
