Down in tautahi for the UFBA conference and had a couple hours before the dinner so while everyone hit the bars, I hit the geocaches Learned from yesterday that e-scooters, while not getting your steps up, are bloody good at making pace inbetween caches. So I saddled one up, paid $6 for the couple hours (money well spent) and zoomed off This was one of the furthest out ones I searched for today. However by the time o got to it, my time was running out. I couldnt immediately find it so sadly Ive logged this as a dnf. Hopefully next time Im in this beautiful city Ill change this to a yellow Mihi ki a koe mo te keteroki
Awesome! Took some time, but got it!! Nicely made.No pen.. ..sorry, so fotolog.Grtz from the Netherlands.Tftc!
A nice adventure before work after an adventure of a different kind nearby. Too some time to spot the likely hide, and yay! Thanks for the fun, nicely hidden!! TFTC!!
After attending an early event I visited the loop to grab some AdLabs and this was on my route. A nice hide.TFTC
Unfortunately didn't find it. Will definitely come back and find again when I have more time and the app gps is working better. Sounds like you put a lot of effort into it and such a cool story, im sure your dad is proud
Being accustomed to the modus operandi of the CO by now we had our eyes peeled for superior craftsmanship, and quickly spotted the tell-tale hint at GZ. Exquisite. Another favourite. Tftc!
We are all the way down here in NZ to support our daughter at a sporting competition. And we are making the most of our time to check out the beautiful city of Christchurch and grab some Southern hemisphere caches! Brilliant cache, we had to search for a while, thanks for the effort you went to for this one, TFTC
I almost gave up but phew how friggin cool. Thank you for the time and effort put into this magic
We didn't spot it straight away so spent some time fossicking about but kept coming back to the same place and there it was.A very clever Cache and it deserves a favourite point from us TFTH
found with banananamuffin! I was joking that 'all the caches are in the plants!' little did we know...creative caches like this make all the walking we've done today all worth it <3
Thanks Maus1 For this cache! Found on the 17/05/24@06:17:04 p.m..Nice geocache, very camo'd and took 5-10 minutes but very cool, TFTC#366---Logs signed with qwertyuiopasdfghjk66 or Q-6

Spotted this awesome cache straight away. ( i hate it when cachers say that lol ). Thanks for the work put into this cache. Well done. Cheers
I was in the city, running some errands and had a bit of spare time to find a couple of caches before I had to head home. This was the first one I found. I checked out a couple of options and eventually found the clever cache construction in the first place I looked, the second time I looked there. Very cool cache. TFTC, Biggles.
353. Hey from Aus! Your dad would be so proud. This cache is extraordinary. The detail that you put in to make it work and blend in so well is amazing. I had been doing hot laps to each tree looking for anything, but I was too small minded and needed to go bush and just look and expand my thinking. Angles are important, and I cant believe how natural everything looks from the outside, well done. Cool story about Elsie too. Thank you!
I biked into the city a couple of days ago and spent over 15 mins looking and failed to find this cache. I returned for a second time this morning. This time a methodical inspection came up trumps.[^] What a great hide. Accordingly, this cache gets a well deserved Fav from me. Keep up with these types of placements. I am envious of your skills Maus1.
What a clever way of hiding. Finding was followed by cheers and happy screams of our kids. Thanks for all the effort on this cache.
A nice quick find. OP44 FTF this and was impressed enough to come for a walk to have another look. Nice work, and I am still not sure the tool you would have used to create the hide! A favourite point from me! Thanks for placing your cache. Ms_KR and I have been out and about, mostly around town. Occassionally signed MK+KR on cache logs, and apologies for the generic logs. Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches.
Took a while but so worth it! Ultra cool, plus the Libby app has the recommended book. Definitely deserves a favorite point. Thank you Maus1
Went out for some fresh air and a short amble about. Took a few minutes to spot.
Congratulations to your Dad teaching you so well. Love the cache container didn't spot straight away but was fun to find. Came out today for a fun cache on Mrs C's Birthday, and it delivered. A fav from us. Thanks for this cache Maus 1.
12:09 FITW GreenMenace Elsie Locke sounds like a badass granny. I like that they put an armed guard on an 68-year-old lady, just because she's a "dangerous" communist It took us some time to spot the hide, looking at multiple places. I had no idea what to expect, except that the hide will be well crafted.I spied something suspicious, and before retrieval called GM, so she can have the joy of discovery as well, now that I knew where exactly GZ is.Can't really say much more without revealing what the cache is. Just going to say, that I've seen others that look like it, but this one is still different in how it's done.Kia ora! Paldies! +Fav!Thanks for the cache, Maus1!#10705
On a wet and quite windy miserable afternoon in Christchurch this is just the sort of cache that makes caching so much fun. Searched for a little while and then ATM spotted a suspicious sign and he was right. There it was. Great cache indeed. Beautiful camo. Clever construction. Favourite. TFTC and greetings from the UK
Another great hide from this CO. Went for an evening stroll with Mr B to find this one. A bit of blank staring and then Mr B said he'd spotted it. I told him he had to leave it alone until I spotted it too! TFTC and have a favourite.
A very clever hide that took me a few minutes to click on to. My compass kept bringing me a certain spot and then I spied something and that was it. A favourite point from me.
A short detour while on the way to work brought me here. Well camouflaged. Thanks for the cache.
Thanks so much for another great cache! Very clever! I enjoyed the walk around from the event to find a mystery, multi and a trad on leap day, and finish off my monthly multi challenge. When this cache was suggested as the trad to target I was looking forward to a great hide from the cache owner and sure enough I wasn't disappointed. Thanks so much for all the effort you put into your caches.
Today is Feb 29th and I had aimed for at least one trad, one multi and a mystery. I ended up with an event and a virtual today as well. This was my traditional cache for Leap Day. We met the C.O today at the Leap Day event and they accompanied us to a few nearby caches including this one... it was equal parts funny and nerve wracking having the C.O watching us (Snugpup, Angelic_kiwi & myself) search for their 3.5 difficulty cache Luckily it didn't take long for me to hone in on the spot and I soon had my hands on the cleverly hidden container. Thanks Maus1 for another cleverly crafted cache hide- always enjoyable to find- a fav point for your effort
Absolutely brilliant. I came very close to giving up - glad I gave it one more look!
I'm in Christchurch for a few days for work so of course I have to get some geocaching in. I came down a day early so I could get a rental car for the day to target some specific caches in the surrounding area.Quite the sombering experience, walking through what was once somebody's back yard. Cache was a cunning hide, almost found by accident. All good here and TFTC+FPFind #6446 at 26 February 2024 7:24 pm
We wanted to go on a bike ride today. So I planned a bike ride to another cache in Linwood, this cache and to pop into a shop. I was excited a well crafted hide and was not disappointed. JD found it. He likes to say, " see dear you have to stick with the experienced" ,
{Ftf} I was lying in bed and the email arrived. 250m from my bed. Jumped up and found it. Well without my good wife I would still be looking. The cache owner has put a lot of effort on this one thanks
I was at the Mona Vale wp of the Riccarton Suburb multi when i spied this new cache...coolies. cant compete with someone 250m away though! A nice wee spot, a couple circuits and i randomly had my hand on the cache...and a most excellent one at that!Nicely done, thanks. +2FP if i could....Edit: you have inherited some good woodworking skills from your Dad! ..and Elsie Locke sounds marvelous...
Turned up to see what all the fuss was about. Heard noises as I turned up and found another cacher. Joined forces and we soon found it. (Fav) Very clever
I'm sure we've cached here before, but this time we really struggled so it was good to have Billiehenne there as well. Co-ords were accurate and the hint really helpful so why did we struggle?!!! Duh!! The elephant tracks did help somewhat. Thank you and a fav from us as well.
Wow! Your dad would be proud. An awesome cache. Thank you sooooo much, Maus1! This was a good cache to come to on my new ebike. #10263
We were watched by several dogs who thought we were a bit strange wandering among the trees looking skywards. A lot of effort must have gone into this clever hide. Enjoyed our mornings hunting, TFTC
Found with Gummi_Venus. This wouldve been an easy FTF this morning, as it is right by my house. Except I moved yesterday! A day late and an FTF short. GV and I made a few laps around the trees. I had put my hand on it when we started the search, thinking it looked weird, but dismissed. Came back a few minutes later and quickly spotted the well crafted cache. Another Maus-terpiece. I appreciate the effort you put into your caches. FP coming your way when I get topped up.
