Logs
A nice easy find using hint. Cycle past here most days. First time.e looking.g for cache. Thanks Glyn.
The way to gz was very squelchy after all the recent rain. Once we were at gz, we soon spotted the cache. Lucky the cache is in a double container as there was water inside the larger container. We dried the cache out before signing the log and replacing the cache as found. TFTC
**21,850**A quickish find once the way into GZ was located. A bit of mud squelching between the toes but all good. TFTC
It was still quite muddy as i picked my way along to gz. Had to make a quick find here & then high tail it 800m back to my car as 2 new caches had been published. [TFTC]
An interesting wetlands area. Wouldn't want to visit GZ when pond is flooded though. Nice quick find though. Tftc
Taking advantage of having somebody drive me around today, this cache was on the list, to turn this area back to smilies. I drove by last week but there was nowhere to legally park and lots of construction traffic everywhere. It was quiet today, so I left my driver at the top of the path whilst I made a quick grab of a cache. Famous last words.Previous logs mention this being a nice little park area. They obviously hadn't come along after it had rained. Half way up the road down here the mud started. The water level in the pond was at the same level as the ground. That quick walk along to the boulders was a slow step to avoid the deepest muddy puddles (where is Peppa Pig when you need her?).At least the cache was dry and not buried in mud.
After meeting up with Team Welsh and doing a few caches on the peninsula we headed towards Silverdale. We managed to find somewhere to park and made our way down to the Big Boulder. On approach there seemed to be a couple of candidates but the GPS soon sorted out the right one. Thanks.
We did a quick detour into here , no time for any monkey business !Di found it where my hand had just been.Nice cache , nice pond .Tftc
Did not realise this run off area was here. Lot of birds on the pond today...Canadian geese.
The Wonderstuff and I were already out in our hood collecting other new caches by the CO and also a few that TWS hadnt found and were trying to find a bison hanging in a tree when I get a message from Gorby saying go Di go. That can only mean one thing, so I check my emails and yep, a new cache not too far away. We abandon the search and head back to the car and zipped across to gz. I cycled past this spot just yesterday so knew exactly where to go and where we could park. We made our way to gz and soon had the cache in hand for our 2nd {FTF} of the morning
After some peninsula caching, kiwicouple and myself headed here to find some in the orewa area. After some creative parking we made our way down to gz. No problems with the cache and I didn't realize this run off area was here. Tftc
Great to find a special geocache car park here.!Here with Net61, and she soon found the cache!I am still wondering where the Big Ape is?????
