(10454) Another trip to Palmy to grab some more caches. A lovely warm day for it. Quickly spotted what I was looking for and the cache was soon in hand. Thanks ZL2SGA for taking the time to place the cache and for bringing me here.
It's Wednesday night, which means I'm over this side of town dropping EtherNonBinary off at Venturer Scouts, and taking my time to head back home! The host was quickly spotted, and the cache equally quickly located. I'm not sure what the "formation" was as I could only see one element, but a cache is a cache!
With Gap (of Fap and Gap) Manawatu, here we go!**The Long and Winding Road - The Beetles**The long and winding roadThat leads to your doorWill never disappearI've seen that road beforeIt always leads me hereLead me to you doorWere always suckers for a bit of rail history. Not being locals, we wondered how the Eastern Railway Line linked with the NIMT - Now we know! A quick find once we spied the host Thanks ZL2SGA. TFTC.
Ngl, love the host of this cache Nice find, a little geotrail helped point the way. Cache and log in good nickMihi ki a koe mo te keteroki #301
Last push for to get the point for the quest, thanks for the placement all good at gz
Decided to go to palmerston north so why not get a cache of two aswell thank you for the cache quick find here
We almost didn't find this one despite it being such an easy find. We found the hint object but didn't to a proper search and returned to the car. I commented that it had been found quite recently and we should give it another go. Found it easily this time. It happens like that sometimes. Talla64 and I had come up from Kapiti to attend the Coffee for the King event and to find a few caches. This was one of them. Thanks for the cache ZL2SGA.
After having "coffee with the king" and PopMac, Flowerydaze and I went on a search for caches around Palmerston north and this was one of them. Nearly missed this one after finding what we thought was a hint object and no cache but second time lucky, how could we have missed this the first time?? TFTC ZL2SGA
I've been spending the weekend with the wonderful Etherlord Clan and family, making the most of having some relaxing to to try to grab a few caches whilst I was here. I had intended to visit here last weekend, but got distracted by a new publication at the time so popped over today to make up for that. It's been a while since I last came down this road. Back then it was to find the final location of one of the Seagnoid's puzzle caches. Today it was for this recently published Trad. A nice quick find here, and with the logsheet signed, everything was replaced as found and I was soon back on my way again. Thanks for encouraging me to visit here today.
Relatively simple find although I did spot it coming from the reverse side. Mostly all quiet on the muggle front although I did have one drive by as I was rehidinf it. Tftc!
Although the hint object was obvious, it took us a wee while to find this sneaky little hide, and retrieving and replacing it was a little tricky. TFTC
New container and log put inplace. Smaller cache this time hopefully this one will stay there.
A nice fine day and i decided to go and look for a couple of newer caches as well as drop off a New TB at ANZAC Day event holder to be given to visitors from the U K so it can travel over there. I accomplished my first goal - the delivery - and then went to other side of town to locate two caches . One got the better of me and i did not find it so i need to go back and have a better hunt, while this cache was a disappointment due to people being unable to read signs that say NO Dumping , as at ground zero there was an opened black rubbish with rubbish scattered around about . It was stating to smell a little in the afternoon heat and did not make a very nice place to be ! I phoned a friend and got advice a from her but still i was unable to locate it so i took a photo of the area and sent it to C O . it had indeed gone missing but i have permission from the c O to log it as there will be a few changes to the cache when it is replaced . Many thanks to the Co for this .
The ducks were not in a line - it was getting dark, I managed to strike all the red lights, a strange dude sitting in his car across from GZ and it was raining. But, today was a dot day and I decided to go for it. This cache was located the nearest to where I was. In the end, a fairly quick find thanks to a geo trail and the hint in view. Thank you zl2sga for this cache.
I was in town this evening and decided to finally find the regular size cache after considering it on my last three missions.I misread the map and took a very round about easy to get here but in the end it was a quick find at the very obvious location.T F T C zl2sga.
Lucky last find for the morning. Parked alongside and soon had the decent sized container located, then signed in. All good here.Staying for a few days in town dog sitting do a chance to sweep up some more recent listings whilst in the area. A nice Multi and a couple of traditionals on this nice and quiet Good Friday. All were found and my prolific March 24 continues. Thanks to all CO s for their hides today, and always.
With plans changing tmann421 and I found ourselves with a bit of free time in PN todayThe three of us (including Mr Doggie) enjoyed this cacheNice hide and quick retrieval Watched a guy tagging a nearby fence hereSigned log tm/ww NZTFTC
*Located the cache with woolwood9* Thought we would come up to Palmerston North for some caches and stay over but we ended up going to Feilding after dinner for quite a bit of night caching.Stayed over in Feilding so we could attend the event in Palmerston North on Sunday afternoon.Nice to find a good sized container.*Found on Sunday morning.* SL *tm/ww NZ*
As the day continued to brighten up and we had to come to this side of the town anyway it was an ideal opportunity to visit three new local geocaches. This was our first cache stop. It was a bit deja vu as I feel we have found a cache somewhere around here in the past. No matter - it's still interesting to venture along this little railway street where track and road merge almost.A bit of a geo-trail is developing here so with that and the hint we were quickly onto the cache. These larger containers are pretty rare now but it was nice to be able to add to the swag a few packets of Countdown bricks. We took nothing. It's the kind of cache young cachers can enjoy doing swaps at. TFTC zl2sga
Yay I found it! Nicely camouflaged Thanks zl2sga for hiding this cool cache... It was so cool that Dan, Sam and Dane moved in! (See photo of the new flatmates)
Third cache for the 29th Feb 24. Been to Auckland on business and was able to get one cache in Auckland at lunch time, then flight flight back to Palmy, Found at night with a torch ok. All good onsite. Very Nice camo. Tb sighted
Nicely sized cache here! Lots of trinkets. Nice to see a familiar tb in here I had awhile ago fro Castle point. I wrote in the log and placed the cache carefully back as found. TFTC. Thanks zl2sga for placing this Traditional cache! zl2sga , ! 26 February 2024 at 6:16PM#876th Find
