Thank you for hosting this geocaching Event! The date of the Event has passed. We automatically archive Events after 30 days (60 days for Mega- and Giga-Events). Attendees can still log archived Events, log trackables, and share their experiences.
Thanks to everyone who came to our celebration in the middle of a (wet) long weekend. It was really special to share our milestone with you all and swap stories too. Congrats to all who won prizes in our Stats Lucky Dip. I cant believe I didnt take any photos!! Must have been too busy enjoying all of your company. Heres to the next five years in this game
Great event and a good reason to bring us up to the Sunshine Coast to pick up more caches in the area for those challenges. Thanks for the prizes and a great way to draw them.Caching with RoddyC and imbunda.TFTCache AtTheLakeHouse
It was funny to think that this event didn't have any attendees a few days ago, and yet there was a mighty group crowded under the shelter today. I reminded the CO of the old geocaching saying "if you hide it, they will come", or perhaps it just means that we're a community of unorganised and last-minute planners? In any case, it was good to see a mix of Sunshine Coast and Brisbane geocachers make the trek here, and I had conversations with a few less-familiar faces. The CO put an amazing spread of snacks and coffee out, and although I didn't win any lucky "shelter" prizes, it was good to see a few smiles for small container prizes distributed (and perhaps I win after all, when they are hidden, and then a chance for me to find something?). Happy five years Team [AtTheLakeHouse](https://coord.info/PRT08AC), and I hope to see many years yet! Thanks [AtTheLakeHouse](https://coord.info/PRT08AC) for the event organisation and hosting.----------Today, I joined [chamad](https://coord.info/PRPP06G) and travelled north to Cooroy to attend [AtTheLakeHouse](https://coord.info/PRT08AC)'s [5th Birthday Gig](https://coord.info/GCAKWYN) event. After visiting the area around Cooroy Mountain, we proceeded towards Mt Tinbeerwah, and after admiring the views at the lookout, we took the various detours within the vicinity to grab the less-visited geocaches. We then hopped across the Cooroy - Noosa Road, and travelled along Sunrise Road, stopping for a few walks within Tinbeerwah Forest Reserve, and escaping for a late lunch at Tewantin. As it approached late afternoon, we utilised our remaining time around Cooroy, which included a few oldies adjacent to the M1 highway. A terrific day out and about, exploring the Noosa shire!
Morning cachers! Hope you had a great Blue Switch Day yesterday. As there is a chance of light rain this afternoon I am moving the location to a park with undercover shelters. These will easily accommodate our numbers plus a few extras. Coords are: S26 23.091' E152 55.747' and is located in the Lake MacDonald Boat Ramp park.
I'm attending in spirit. ?? Congratulations on five years hunting treasure! ??
Ooops! Seems Shakespeare in the Amphitheater is on at the Botanic Gardens at the same time just a heads up that parking might be at a premium ??
**FTF**Won the prize allowing me to claim FTF. A great idea. What a delightful surprise stumbling upon the AtTheLakeHouse birthday party geocache event at Cooroy Lions Park! The atmosphere was filled with excitement as fellow geocachers gathered to celebrate the 5th geoversary. The cake was a delicious treat, and the company was even better. Thanks to the hosts for organizing such a memorable event. Can't wait for the next adventure!
Another event this weekend. Some familiar faces and some new ones. Thanks for the event.
At the lake again. Hard to believe that the previous event here was only 12 months ago. Thanks for hosting once again.
Travelling north today to attend an Event and pick up some much needed caches in The Noosa and Sunshine Coast LGAs.It was nice to chat with people who I rarely see and meet new cachers as well as the regular people. What a spread of yummy food to enjoy and the watermelon was so sweet and juicy. Congratulations of your Geoversary, how time flies. Great day. TFTE
Today I was lucky to get out and go north with Davidwazza for some long walks and some caches that were of particular interest. To be included and finish off the day was an event on the lake in cooroy area. It was a fun day and we got in a good range of caches some I had been to already, it was good to refresh the memory, and some that were just fun to get. On most walks I think at least one of us would have mentioned "this is a good leach area", lol. I know I thought it at most caches. However I ended the day with a full body check and no hitch hikers today, phew.We signed the logs and replaced the caches as they were found. We had two DNF's and a nice bag of types and sizes with DT's to match. Some good chats and we solved the worlds problems all in a day. What a great turn out and a great event, so many happy people and so much to talk about. Events, Caches, Food, Prizes (of which I didnt win) and people. There were so many smiling faces, nice work.
Thanks Natalie for a nice meet up with other cachers by the Lake and for the muffins too!
Thanks for the enjoyable event, great to catch up with old friends and meet new ones.

Was great to attend this afternoon and just in time too! Plenty of new faces and a few familiar ones, thanks for hosting AtTheLakeHouse!
I'm hoping to make this Event but also hope that the heavens don't open up too. At least it's the middle day of a long weekend so traffic shouldn't be too bad.
Looks like I will be able to make it. Will let you know if I can't otherwise. FYI Im not a huge fan of cake if you want to factor it in for how much you get.
