Sorted this one out a while ago but saved for a multi dot day. No issues in the drizzle.
Had attended a MEGA farewell event in the park, and with a bit of assistance with 2,Aussie cachers, I was able to calculate the final location. With rebel98 took a meandering journey to GZ.Happy to find the cache, thanks for the hide i-gotit
I had grabbed the final coords while at the MEGA handover event yesterday, but wasn't back out this way until this afternoon. Made a quick find here before heading off, TFTC
We got the answer for this one at this mornings event and decided on one last find before getting dinner and heading back to our accommodation. It was in the right direction, so why not. Nice easy find. Thanks i-gotit#17458
Solved while waiting for the eventWoke up to a fabulous sunny day. Day 7 and running around tidying up wants and needs. Back to Kittykatch and Grimraider. Finally back in NZ and this time for a Mega. Starting in Christchurch before heading south. Lots to see and do with Kittykatch and Grimraider. Will be joining with others as the days go on.Thanks for getting me out and about i-gotit
#836 11:21AMAs I was searching for the cache another group turned up and we found the cache together. Thanks for placing this cache i-gotit
Found the PT sign inside the cubicle of the ladies toilet. Quickly gathered the information with angelic_kiwi and then later in the day found the cache on our way past. All quiet at gz which made for a quick find - tftc
Solved this one after the event today, and then later in the day we were going past the final so of course stopped off and found it on the way. Thanks so much for the cache. Found with mumandme.
Dunedin MegaSolved this with help from new friend rustynz. Out caching with GrimRaider and Joolay. GrimRaider, Joolay and I are in NZ for the Dunedin mega event. It is great to be back to see more of this beautiful country. Thanks for hiding this cache i-gotit
After solving the puzzle, I had to wait several days for the weather to improve before going to cache. Despite passing the cache location on the footpath below hundreds of times in my now very distant childhood and teenage years, I now realise I had never been up that side path to the street above. Thank you for an enjoyable cache. Another solo find by Mr Tribe.
On a road trip with Hal2929 today and we picked up some of the multis that we thought would be quick (hopefully) - quick solve , a short drive and quick find. Perfect. thanks i-gotit for the series of toilet caches. Someday I may get them all. Definitely did not realise there was so many public toilets around Dunedin and it's areas.
On a roadie with Kiscardi getting some caches. A quick find at gz. All good with the cache. Thanks
There we were again, standing outside a toilet trying not to look conspicuous, and then yet again discovered that GZ was quite a distance away. Off we went, obeyed the instructions given in the description (which took both of us because I had something in my other hand) and signed the logbook. Found with Debsnz. Thanks i-gotit.
We didn't linger while gathering the information as the wind was very cold but GZ was more sheltered and after dodging the crazy lady walking past, the find was quickly made. Found with Spoonz2
We soon gathered the required numbers and the cache was then a quick easy find with the precise hint. TFTC
Always good to get another of the toilet multis. An easy-enough find today using the information in the cache description. TFTC
Collected the data yesterday and returned to GZ today on our way home. Another good find by Mrs d today. TFTC
Sunflowers26 and I stopped off for one last cache, and fortunately it wasn't too far from our final destination - both WP1 and GZ. Not much in the way of muggle interference today, so we were able to grab the information, head to GZ, and find the cache with no further issues. Cheers!
Knowing my ability to mis read multis, I tagged along with the Daywalks to get the numbers needed. Also knowing I would be in the area again today I headed home for lunch and left the others to head back out in the wind. What a difference a day can make weatherwise so was an easy find in pleasant conditions.
After a road walk in a nasty chilly wind, it makes perfect sense to prolong the morning by meeting P&Vee to stand outside a public toilet in a nasty chilly wind discussing mathematical processes. Looks a promising location... Half the solving group headed off for lunch while we detoured past GZ for a quick rummage.
I wasn't with dad when he found this but he brought me back today and I had to locate the cache myself. TFTC.
(FTF) #194 @ 11:48. Its a multi cache dot day so I headed out for a possible FTF just after the notification came in. Gathered the numbers required - had a little trouble as I cant count, but I did get the checksum to work on the second try at the waypoint. (I have assumed G is referring to the aqua words as there are no aqua numbers). Gz looked to be in a likely spot so headed that way. Arrived and it didnt look right. Had I got some numbers mixed up? Across the road looked like a likely spot so investigated there. Using the hint as a guide I checked spots that matched. No luck. There were more possibilities on this side of the road so had a little wander around the loop but nothing looked promising. After completing the loop I was back to where I first searched and decided to widen my search area as this was the most likely of spots. I soon had located the cache. It seems I misread the units in the hint, otherwise I would have found it much sooner!! I work in mm too much! Not sure if my calculation was correct but I found the cache 25m from my GZ. Happily signed my name on the clean logsheet. Thanks for the cache, i-gotit#5852 ** Make your way to Dunedin for New Zealands next large multi-day event. GCA7ZHD Geo Toroa will be held on NZs Labour Day long weekend 26-27th October 2024 **
Looking back at this one, I had made a typo for D when entering the numbers into my device. Coords look good now!!
Walked home across this park every day when I was at intermediate and high schools. It was a bog in the winter. I wasn't sure I had the numbers correct but the checksum agreed. However, I've been caught before when the numbers were wrong but still added up correctly so it was with some trepidation that I approached the final co-ords. Well, it certainly was consistent with the hints so maybe? In hand quickly. Pretty quiet late on a Sunday afternoon so no muggle issue. TFTC.
After a long day out, MacBayMeri decided to should stop on the way home to find this cache. As there was almost no-one about, we were able to find most of the final co-ordinates from the comfort of our car, ducking out once or twice when our eyesight failed us. Then off to the final - didn't take long to find the container tucked away in its hide, and sign the log. TFTC.
MrMagoo72 and I were out on the Taieri on a house and garden tour when the notification came through that this cache had been published, so on our way home afterwards we stopped by to work this out. I had to ask google what the digital root was for C, and luckily google came up with the right answer. Then it didn't take long to work out the final co-ordinates (WW is right: G refers to aqua words, not aqua numbers). Then off to find the final. Fortunately on a Sunday evening, there weren't many folk about. Parked just before the bus stop and saw that here was another little walkway that I hadn't come across before, though I've been past here so many times before. GPS took us to the exact spot and we soon had our hands on the container, tucked away. Signed the log and returned as found. Nicely done. TFTC.
